Thanks for the vid brother. Got my nomination thanks to your tips. Hopefully my BGO interview will go just as well. Fortunately, my BGO is a talker (I've met with him a little in the past). So I can see why you said not to worry about talking for 2hrs straight.
Just heard on another one of your videos you are at NAU. Hope you don't see to much chaos with the Flake / McCain shake up or the congressman who is caught up in the scandal. My family is in the Phoenix area. Again, good luck on the Nomination and Appointment.
You start the second semester of your junior year. Open a pre-candidate kit, then over the summer you will start your full app/submit nominations. First semester of your senior year, if roughly 50% of your app is done, you can schedule your interview with your BGO. As a general piece of advice, keep in touch with your BGO. I first met mine in Feb 2020 while applying for the class of 2025 and sat down for coffee to learn more ab the academy. I kept in touch the whole time I was applying. I’d ask him questions about various things going on with my application/nomination and make sure that he knew how committed I was to the process. He told me even before our interview that he was pulling for me to get an appointment, and was very excited to see me get a nomination and be one step closer to attending.
@@beneichholz when are you supposed to start applying for a congressional nomination, and what would be the proper way to apply? i know that you need to do an online application on the congresspersons website, but is it important to send an email or something else, and what would be the timeline for that? (i’m a junior right now). thank you sm!
