Man, I would have loved to have this as a kid growing up. From the black woman's perspective, I didn't have my father around as a kid. It was just my mother, two sisters and I. Often times there were emotions I felt that I couldn't find the words for. I didn't know how to express myself and all that I was feeling. See things I never sould have seen, that no child should EVER have to see. The feelings of being overlooked, being misunderstood or at least it felt that way because I didn't understand myself. Just so much. This music, this information would have help not only me but so many of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s. Keep doing your thing brotha.
