It doesn't really have inherent flaws in its design like the Neo Clash, it just has a weak special. I feel the same about Custom Jet, it seems like a lot of people are writing it off b/c of no burst bomb and having mist instead + ink storm, but honestly it's the most fun out of all the new weapons for me. Ink Storm pairs so well with it and basically turns it into a 3-shot, it can threaten DURING the inkstorm, and mist can help it hit its already really accurate shots better and help deny others places to move. I don't think it's going to be game-breaking or anything but it's very strong and possibly my new main now lol
Really interesting list! I've been loving the tri nouveau casually! Oh, I don't think this'll change any rankings, but I believe Super Chump actually shoots out 12 decoys, not 9.
I think that Tri Slosher Nouveau and Neo Splash would be quite high. Both have decent kill times, Subs that help with painting and Dmg and Specials that have multiple uses.
N zap 89 so far has been so much fun for me. Jumping with the super chumps to surprise attack enemies is my favorite way to use it!! Overall, so much more fun then n zap 85, which is what I maimed up till this point
Didn’t realize Z+F charger was that good. I thought it would be #3 at best but I guess that makes sense about it’s kit synergy (I’m not a comp player) (Also I call Z+F Zekkofin considering the brands that are collabed In the making of it)
I've been having SO much fun with the new Tri Nouveau. The bombs help compensate for the short range and help you dive in when you get you tacticooler. Basically everything feels like it senergizes with each other to make a really fun slayer kit that also provides a good amount of support for allies
Absolutely loving tri-slosher as a means of becoming more comfortable fighting constantly. I feel it's helped me discover the value of measured aggression and patience just by being a very aggressive weapon where dying can be part of your plan. Before I was always scared of being aggressive because I might throw. After zombie bucket I realize how many times I threw by giving the enemy too much time and space.
tri nouveau is def my personal fav from this season, it’s been a while since a weapon just perfectly clicked with me like that. it’s unbelievably fun on maps with a lot of verticality like flounder or manta
I honestly like some of the kits we got this season, feels nice to have some weapons get their S1 kits back and or some having a new kit Cjet feels pretty nice with mist and storm, not as aggressive like the rest but still does a decent job
Hey look, that's me 12:47 ! Forever gonna remember the day I 1v1 traded with Chara as an E-liter at close range. Regardless of how bad my aim was the entire game 😅
I’ve bounced back and forth between “Maining” the Vanilla Splattershot Jr. and Sploosh, and NEO Sploosh not having Zipcaster just feels like a missed opportunity. I actually quite like the Beakons, the recon effect helps their “I am in your base in 30 seconds” playstyle, and Zipcaster would mean they get to enter your precious home even QUICKER! It’s the ultimate melee shooter, after all! I’ll TRY to do something with NEO Spooosb since it is a fun kit, but it could have been MORE fun.
Love your videos Chara! You put so much work in your videos and it really shows ☺️ incorporating splatoon with the sponsor segment was really clever and cute
tri slosher kit is surprisingly synergistic, honestly expected to be mediocre but it's now one of my mains. I'm happy that there's a new aggressive tacticooler weapon and it's really beneficial
I wouldn't mind some sliiiight buffs to splat roller. I wish the horizontal ink coverage was a little better, also to clear out the large amount of RNG (sometimes you can straight-up miss people dead in front of you). I also wouldn't mind if the either vertical flick was *sliiightly* faster or alternatively there was an effective way to horizontal flick out of a squid roll… OR if they sped up the regular roll (maybe starting at the faster speed rather than have to roll for a second first?). Really anything that gives the main weapon a hint more mobility or consistency.
L-3D and Rapid Deco are easily my favorite weapons of this season, so I do hope their specials get buffed. Especially since, IMO, Stamp and Ink Jet are two of the most fun specials in Splatoon 3. They just need to be a little less likely to get you killed.
The new Tri-Slosher is probably one of my new main weapons. It’s an effective slayer with a kit that not only enables itself, but assists the team as well! It feels like what I wanted the Dapple Dualies to be with their base kit, and I’m LOVING it!
i didn't realize how much fun i was having with the new tri slosher until i had a 9 game win streak with some friends,,,i never touched a tri slosher in my life before this...
Splatterscope player here! My thoughts on the new Z+F kit: its really, really good. The wall is great for allowing you to be more aggressive without dying, and has definitely saved my life in quite a number of situations. The safety it gives when fighting a longer ranged weapon is unmatched. E-Liter pressuring you? Now instead of having to peek out to throw a bomb and risk getting hit, you can throw a wall first, and get 1-2 shots out depending on your gear, pressuring it instead! Though, i definitely find myself missing the bomb quite a bit, since the area denial and small amount of displacement it gives is also really important. It's definitely map and mode dependent for me, with maps like TC Manta Maria making much better use of the bomb on defense and offense due to the chokepoints. But then again, this could be partly due to my inexperience with wall, seeing that i didnt use firefin in 2, and one-tricked vcharger due to the strength of both splat bomb and stingray. Speaking of special, obviously tri-strike is much better than ink vac in most situations. When on tower, popping ink vac is better of course. But in basically every other mode, tri strike will be your preferred option for both pushing and for defending. It has much mote utility, impact, and you are in a better position to use it as opposed to vac. Overall, 10/10 kit, and i'll be using it a lot more than i did firefin in 2. Its basically a straight upgrade in almost every way, and as a splatterscope main, im very satisfied. Not 100% sure i agree with it taking top spot as the best kit this season, considering how broken Kraken is rn, but it is very, very good. Thank you for the high-quality and informative video as always Chara!
@@vibingmushroom Hmm scoped might not be the best to start off with imo, the slightly longer range isnt a great tradeoff for the reduced vision and lack of held charge. Would definitely recommend a non-scoped to try first! In order to improve with chargers, building up skill with aim is important, but practicing your charger-specific game sense is also big. Knowing when to push forward and retreat helps a lot with applying pressure to support your team. Good luck!
I recently picked up the Krak-on roller and while it definitely does have some issues in getting in, I feel like it's a more effective sharking & sneak attack weapon due to the beakons allowing it to super jump anywhere on the map. Though I think it works best on maps with flanks, like manta or flounder. Unfortunately, most maps in splatoon 3 don't have flanks, so it's hard to get value sometimes, which sucks. I find it works best as a mix between support and frontline. Beakons to get your team in faster, especially with sub power up, and kraken to force a push or keep a backline like an E-liter or Hydra away/distracted from the fight so your team has a better chance of getting an upper hand.
had an idea to improve reefslider it's a fairly simple one adding mini sharks to the sides of the slider that continue after it explodes basically, they'd be mini curling bombs that don't explode but move very fast and rebound all over the place for minor damage allowing for more coverage, softening, and messing up enemy movement. doubt it make it top tier, but it be more useful since you could stop it early to launch the minis at people and go in for a kill with the main or sub. oh and in my head im seeing it as 2 to 3 on each side so 4 or 6 projectiles total.
even tho stamp is bad i rlly like it on l3. it gives u that option to kill someone up close if u miss ur shots with the main weapon, and throwing it makes up for l3's range and can even get a pick off.
I'm sad they didn't give us new kits in other classes. But hey at least we'll be getting them in the next season right? *proceeds to get 3rd & 4th kits for all shooters next season*
I initially dismissed Super Chump, but that ended when I finally ran into a decent solo queue team in my grind to get back X rank. Specials like Crab, Kraken, and Tri-Strike are good for making openings to start pushes. Super Chump gets its value by assisting or extending an already ongoing push. Especially in games like Clam Blitz and Splat Zones with static objectives, having the additional threat can really make or break those short-range brawls that determine if a push is successful.
I know it may not be very impressive when I did this in a C Rank Splash Zones lobby, but I had a great time with the Tri-Slosher Nouveau where after activating the Tacticooler and taking my share of the temporary buffs it gives, I straight up rushed the opposing team and got past a .96 Gal Deco's Inkwall and splatted the first two and snuck up on a Splattershot Jr. and a Z+F Splatterscope and splatted them as well, and it was fast enough to make it a Wipeout. It's my favorite moment I've ever been able to pull off!
I wonder if the Kraken and Super Chump were made either between or at the end of development for the kits. There are only two kraken and chump kits even though a few other weapons that could really use Kraken (L-3D, CJet). Perhaps these kits were made before the idea of putting Kraken back in the game. Maybe even before the Crab nerfs, explains why Drapid isn’t the Crabpid we wanted
My only problem with the super chump is that it requires the right trigger to deploy it instead of just the right bumper like other deployable specials like tacticooler and wavebreaker it gets very confusing in the heat of battle
Super chump is like torpedo but as a special. It's main function is to distract and possibly give you damage to combo off of. It's not supposed to be tenta missiles.
This season has been a lesson to not judging a book by its cover, there have been many kits that we looked at and either recoiled in fear or wallowed in disappointment over. Like, if a new kit it doesn't get a bomb (specifically a splat bomb) and doesn't get any of the good specials like tri strike or crab or booyah bomb and so on, then immediately written off as being bad and unviable, although I feel like the chill season has set our expectations that way considering how many duds that season gave us.
thank you so much for pointing out that super chump is more about distraction than displacement. nobody sees it i swear! i also really like using wave breaker as a distraction/defensive tool to get quick picks on others
I pretty much agree with the N-Zap placement. I immediately grabbed it and went into ranked for Splat Zones and Rainmaker. The Super Chump really helps distract opponents and works well in shielding the rainmaker or allowing you to sneak up on unsuspecting enemies. It also works well in Splat Zones since you can also use it to distract one side of a split zone while charging the other, allowing you to pick off one side without worrying about enemy reinforcements. It’s a really fun kit to play, especially in ranked. You can even combo auto bomb with the Super Chump to try and have the auto bomb kill while the enemy is distracted. Overall, I love the new N-Zap and it’s a great choice for ranked modes like Splat Zones and Rainmaker. I haven’t tried out the weapon in Clam Blitz or Tower Control, so I don’t really know how well the N-Zap will do in either of those modes, but it’s a lot of fun to use.
Krak-on roller has amazing special synergy, as you usually end kraken where an aggressive weapon such as a splat roller would want to be .96 gal is usually more passive and can’t always utilise kraken outside of a “get off me” tool
Tri-slosher nouveau is proof the weapon is completely beyond needing burst bomb and that mentality is a leftover from needing it to break ink armor en masse. Mist wasnt great for it but this kit shows it can excel with other more tactical subs and specials, this lays the groundwork for tri kits that are fun to play AND fun to fight.
Completely agree with how you put the Neo Sploosh. It's fun as hell, but the weapon's not gonna be doing great until it gets a kit that lets it consistently poke.
Curling bomb isnt just a movement sub weapon btw. Like i use it while bainting enemys who chase me. While i run away, i throw it perpendicular to the way i run and it acts as an explosive dividing likne
A particular strength I found in Neo Splash (that makes it worth using over Ttek) is its ability to stall out the zone on Hagglefish and other similar maps. LDE Suction + Triple Inkstrike spam is kinda busted there
Idk if this sounds good, but I’ve been shortening Z+F to “Zeph”, combining the pronunciations of the two letters to form a single-syllable nickname for it It makes more sense to me since I pronounce Z as “zed” not “zee”, but that’s not important
Tri nouveau seems pretty damn good and fun. Fizzy is no burst bomb but still good for paint and chip, and tacticooler lets tri be even more aggro than it already is. Only downside i see for it is not being able to run ninja squid, object damage can be SOMEWHAT remedied with fizzy.
There is only one thing I don't like about the tri slosher nouveau... They should have given that kit to soda slosher! It is such a huge missed opportunity!
Honestly, I don't mind the L-3 Nozzlenose D. I already loved the main weapon, and the Burst Bomb has always worked well with it. Of course, the Ultra Stamp isn't very good, but I was always willing to overlook it. The .96 Gal Deco is a fun loadout and a cool throwback. The Kraken Royale feels familiar, but with a fun new learning curve. Even though the .96 has always had subpar accuracy at range, I put up with it because of how fun the main weapon is to use. The Custom Jet Squelcher is actually pretty fun. Even though the Toxic Mist has a bad reputation for basically not being a bomb (which I don't get), I saw plenty use of it with the Jet Squelcher from Splatoon 2 and the Zink Mini Splatling in Splatoon 3. The Ink Storm is a unconventional pairing for the Jet Squelcher, but a welcome one. I didn't really think it would be terrible, to be honest, and I'm glad that it isn't. I only got the Z+F Splatterscope, since I prefer scoped Chargers. All I can say is that it is indeed the spiritual successor of the Firefin Splat Charger/Splatterscope. The Triple Inkstrike is one of my favorite special weapons in the game, so that's a plus. Overall, even as a Heavy Splatling user, I can't say I'm disappointed. I'd really like to see what the Heavy Splatling Deco will be like.
Can you do a dedicated video on the Tacticooler? I still honestly have no idea what kind of impact it has when used since unlike most other specials which have direct feedback, Tacticooler is an incremental buff with weak explanation. The only buff I ever notice when using it is the quick respawn.
I wonder what Super Chump would be like if it didn't have that cooldown? I mean sure it wouldn't be *AS* bad as the global range of Tenta Missiles, but still I wonder how the community would react to it?
I'm gonna be honest. Z+F Splatterscope makes me want to play chargers again. It's the best I've been with a charger like this (counting all chargers, I think I'm honestly a bit better with bamboo) but I consider it a solid option for playing more chargers.
I mained the 89 in the first game, did the whole N-Zap series in the second, & in the third, I'm adjusting well to the 89 again. During the first game, I regularly used my sprinklers like decoys, as in I'd have them distract the other team while I either slipped by or took them out, I've even used sprinklers as shields before but in the second, I was disappointed in how much worse sprinklers got & as much as I wanted the 89 to echo its first game's kit, I half hoped it wouldn't because of how much worse sprinkler is now & autobomb being my second favorite sub, I was kinda hoping the 89 would get it again as long as it didn't have missiles this time. I feel like with this kit, I got exactly what I wanted without knowing it was what I wanted if that makes any sense. Now, I use my special as decoys instead & it's worked out so well for me. I was bummed at first because I thought my teammates could make better use of my special over me & since I play alone, there's no way for me to communicate with them to see where they are & know where to place it, I have to actually use the map & my brain to figure that stuff out but I've had times where I could use it myself, I straight up used one as a shield after seeing it in a video & it worked. The more I use that special, the more I like Super Chump. Yes, Tri Slosher is great on Flounder Heights. Funny, in the first game, I had this tradition of always using the Tri Slosher Nouveau on Flounder Heights because I can be a tad territorial when it comes to the middle (I do a ton of turf war), I don't like letting the enemy cross my lines & I can accomplish that with the old Tri Slosher Nouveau kit, sloshing over the sides, knowing where the enemies are with echo locator, & having my seekers help me out? I've had so much fun there! In the third game, it's different, fizzy bomb is alright, I'm still not use to it but I like its ink trail & I've accidentally splatted people I had no idea I threw it at so yay! Also, I am a fan of cooler, since I am an N-Zap main at heart, of course I used a ton of the 85 when 3 came out so I have experience with cooler. I do really like this kit & I adore the Tri Slosher, I just could never main a slosher because I like playing Splatoon for hours, shooters are easier on the hands so it's more of me being lazy on that part. If I wasn't allowed to play shooters anymore, sloshers are definitely my go-to & the Tri Slosher Nouveau? Love it. Not the same as in the first game but we'll probably never see seekers again (I'm like one of the few people who actually adores seekers) so I'll take what we can get.
If roller could actually paint and the damage was actually consistent and the one shot radius actually worked, and the maps are good, Krakon would be crazy
No doubt clash neo is bottom 2 weapons this season, but for some reason, I’m having so much fun with it despite never touching clash in Splatoon 2 or 3 before this. It’s fun just throwing stuff out while you play with your big hitbox - run some sub saver and/or special charge to increase the rate of throwing things, and gravitate towards maps like Mako and Sturgeon, and it’s a blast all around if you’re not trying to flex your Xpower
I think as a generally aggro casual player, Neo Sploosh has actually been such a sweet kit. I already loved its vanilla kit even tho stamp still needs some tweaks, but man is it satisfying when your enemies don't realize you left a Beakon in their base and you suddenly have them stuck there 😂
Absolutely loving the new trislosher. Tacticooler isn't meta but unfortunately all the weapons I like have it (nzap, dapples, and now trislosher nouveau). I'm gonna get the gold tacticooler badge real soon I think. XD
Even with its amazing kit, .96 needs main weapon buffs. With the removal of MPU, it’s object damage is horrible, and don’t tell me to use object shredder because stealth jump is VERY important on it. It’s accuracy is just UNACCEPTABLE. You should not have to rely on RNG for a weapons shots to hit. Buff the accuracy on this weapon to jet accuracy and increase its damage to 72 and then you have a SOLID main weapon.

Great we got this out of the way but we need to see a tier list for the mode that really matters. TABLETURF BATTLE!
N zap 89 so far has been so much fun for me. Jumping with the super chumps to surprise attack enemies is my favorite way to use it!! Overall, so much more fun then n zap 85, which is what I maimed up till this point
Didn’t realize Z+F charger was that good. I thought it would be #3 at best but I guess that makes sense about it’s kit synergy (I’m not a comp player) (Also I call Z+F Zekkofin considering the brands that are collabed In the making of it)
Game calls it ZedFry, I think of it as ZedEff
@@espresseaux I call it zekkofin because z+f is zekko + firefin. Sounds like an actual name instead of a weird shorthand.
I've been having SO much fun with the new Tri Nouveau. The bombs help compensate for the short range and help you dive in when you get you tacticooler. Basically everything feels like it senergizes with each other to make a really fun slayer kit that also provides a good amount of support for allies
anybody gonna mention how cool that ad read was? i love how logi (the editor) used the in-game screens to show the ad for surfshark n stuff
I honestly like some of the kits we got this season, feels nice to have some weapons get their S1 kits back and or some having a new kit
Cjet feels pretty nice with mist and storm, not as aggressive like the rest but still does a decent job
The sponsor era of ProChara, let's go finally getting some recognition
Loving the fact that you're getting sponsors. Congrats
tri slosher kit is surprisingly synergistic, honestly expected to be mediocre but it's now one of my mains.
Off topic but I really like your music choices for your videos, a lot of Pokemon Sonic and what not, good stuff
The new Tri-Slosher is probably one of my new main weapons. It’s an effective slayer with a kit that not only enables itself, but assists the team as well! It feels like what I wanted the Dapple Dualies to be with their base kit, and I’m LOVING it!
The only ad section I’ve watched in a YT video. This guys videos are always quality
i didn't realize how much fun i was having with the new tri slosher until i had a 9 game win streak with some friends,,,i never touched a tri slosher in my life before this...
I’m not a charger guy AT ALL, I don’t know how y’all do so well! Maybe I have to practise with some of the scoped chargers first…
@@vibingmushroom Hmm scoped might not be the best to start off with imo, the slightly longer range isnt a great tradeoff for the reduced vision and lack of held charge.
I personally call the Z+F Charger the "Z-Frick Charger" because of how scary it is as a support/skirmisher player.
had an idea to improve reefslider it's a fairly simple one adding mini sharks to the sides of the slider that continue after it explodes basically, they'd be mini curling bombs that don't explode but move very fast and rebound all over the place for minor damage allowing for more coverage, softening, and messing up enemy movement. doubt it make it top tier, but it be more useful since you could stop it early to launch the minis at people and go in for a kill with the main or sub. oh and in my head im seeing it as 2 to 3 on each side so 4 or 6 projectiles total.
even tho stamp is bad i rlly like it on l3. it gives u that option to kill someone up close if u miss ur shots with the main weapon, and throwing it makes up for l3's range and can even get a pick off.
Fun fact, Super Chump is affected by stealth Jump as well :D
That was one of the best sponsors I have seen
I like Neo Splash better because I’m more supportive when I play and I SUCK at Crab Tank
Ghost Town in a Chara video is a welcome surprise.
Tnx a lot Logi!
Chara got a sponsor, idk if I'm late but either way it's impressive
In German the Z+Fis called Zekkori Charger. Maybe consider this
My only problem with the super chump is that it requires the right trigger to deploy it instead of just the right bumper like other deployable specials like tacticooler and wavebreaker it gets very confusing in the heat of battle
Krak-on roller has amazing special synergy, as you usually end kraken where an aggressive weapon such as a splat roller would want to be .96 gal is usually more passive and can’t always utilise kraken outside of a “get off me” tool
vclash being mediocre with SPLAT BOMB and zooka should show just how bad nclash is when stuck with a curling
Also, I feel like once people actually start to figure out how to play and capitalize of chump, it can be really good in the meta
Facts
@@triggerhappy4199 legitimately it's like "go from a two shot to *checks notes* a less reliable more expensive two shot"
11:36
So that's why it's called "Chump" - it sounds like "jump"
Completely agree with how you put the Neo Sploosh. It's fun as hell, but the weapon's not gonna be doing great until it gets a kit that lets it consistently poke.
Curling bomb isnt just a movement sub weapon btw. Like i use it while bainting enemys who chase me.
While i run away, i throw it perpendicular to the way i run and it acts as an explosive dividing likne
Honestly I started maining 96 in addition to splatana stamper and this is the most fun I've had in Splatoon since a long time, maybe ever
9:07
everyone point and laugh
A particular strength I found in Neo Splash (that makes it worth using over Ttek) is its ability to stall out the zone on Hagglefish and other similar maps. LDE Suction + Triple Inkstrike spam is kinda busted there
I will say that the new clash blaster does work a lot better and the big hit box allows me to pull off for crazy corner blasts
11:02 well with that information in mind, I fell for it a lot lol
I’m surprised to see you use music from DNF Duel of all games, not that I mind.
Idk if this sounds good, but I’ve been shortening Z+F to “Zeph”, combining the pronunciations of the two letters to form a single-syllable nickname for it
It makes more sense to me since I pronounce Z as “zed” not “zee”, but that’s not important
Im so exited for next season since i know we can get 3 shooter kits maximum
I'd really like to see what the Heavy Splatling Deco will be like.
ignoring the smily face on a super chump is impossible
Can you do a dedicated video on the Tacticooler? I still honestly have no idea what kind of impact it has when used since unlike most other specials which have direct feedback, Tacticooler is an incremental buff with weak explanation. The only buff I ever notice when using it is the quick respawn.
I'm super pissed they didn't give kraken to L3 like they did in s1. Seriously wasted a burst bomb kit on hammer
I wonder what Super Chump would be like if it didn't have that cooldown? I mean sure it wouldn't be *AS* bad as the global range of Tenta Missiles, but still I wonder how the community would react to it?
I am going to die mad about L3’s kit. Ultra stamp is the splashdown of splatoon 3
I'm gonna be honest. Z+F Splatterscope makes me want to play chargers again. It's the best I've been with a charger like this (counting all chargers, I think I'm honestly a bit better with bamboo) but I consider it a solid option for playing more chargers.
I am forever jealous of Z+F Charger for having the kit I want on a heavy splattling
Love L3 I feel like once they get stamp working properly it will probably be fine if not good. Burst bomb combos are so fun.
I used to solo main the zapper in splat 2, im so happy they bought my weapon back
13:23 Petition to make this weapons' nickname the zekkofin charger
11:44 I wonder if using both zaps would work since they both help with getting in in their own ways
Fun fact for those who never played Splatoon 1, the kit for the krak-on roller in Splatoon 3is the exact same kit in Splatoon 1
NZap 89 has been my personal favorite so far since I like its bait & punish play style.
Of all the VPNs to sponsor a splatoon channel, I’m so happy it’s SurfSHARK
13:26 in the german version, it's called Zekkori Charger, so maybe we can use that name
I love l3d.. it would have been top teir if it just got waive breaker or wail to combo kill with the 3shot burst.
When Third Weapon Kits eventually happen, I'm praying that the Burst Bomb Splattershot gets the Super Chump. Something about the combo feels right.
the custom jet squelcher is TOO MUCH fun omg
Are you just gonna play that clip every time you mention ink jet/rapid deco now😂
