- How To Make A Walking Stick
In this video I show the viewer how to make a inexpensive walking stick. Most folks already have the tools necessary to make this project. All you need is a one and a quarter inch six foot dowel, some stain of choice and some sealant and your almost there.
I also talk about pyrography also know as woodburning art and power carving. I bring all those mediums of art together to make a cool walking stick.
The tools used in this video were.

Beautiful piece! Takes me back to woods walks with my dad when I was a kid. He liked a walking stick so I always insisted on scrounging one off the landscape so I could “be like Pop”. Thanks for sharing yer project, Jon.

Wow Jon, that turned out beautifully. I really like the Texas lettering and the skull with cactus, that's cool. Thanks for sharing, woodshop is looking very orderly.

Thanks for watching.
Very cool! The art decco pattern is amazing. I have my dad's hand checkering tool he used when he made his rifle stock. I never tried it but I bet you would be great at it
Thanks John.
Everyone needs a good stick.
Got to keep those high desert sidewinders away for you.
Glad your back some what regular. I do have a question now that you don't seem as busy.
My current air pistols are. 1377 , Vigilante and Browning, all under $55 guns. What's my next move for .177s pistols? It's Father's Day and I'm thinking somewhere below $120, I'm retired and shoot daily.
Umarex Trevox Air Pistol I have one and it's a fun shooter.
@@Wingman115 Thank you
