Algebra II on Khan Academy: Your studies in algebra 1 have built a solid foundation from which you can explore linear equations, inequalities, and functions. In algebra 2 we build upon that foundation and not only extend our knowledge of algebra 1, but slowly become capable of tackling the BIG questions of the universe. We'll again touch on systems of equations, inequalities, and functions...but we'll also address exponential and logarithmic functions, logarithms, imaginary and complex numbers, conic sections, and matrices. Don't let these big words intimidate you. We're on this journey with you!
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.

I'm not sure if this gets said much, but I really appreciate that you guys not only post these videos for free, but make them simple and comprehensive too. I also like how the examples used aren't boring as hell, and keep me happy while studying. Kudos.
@CHEM-G ALL Rounder what
Lol
when i watch them the make more confused
They are not simple they explain to complicated
@@dragospahontuiiiūiiiiū
"Well that escalated quickly"
Khan't believe it did
lol
lol
I see what yall did there... lol
We got a comedian over here!
I just struggled to understand a homework problem for 30 minutes trying to use my teacher's lesson and you answered it in the first three minutes... thank you so much
same
"Your hair would fall off, you would marry a frog."

Lol
lmao
HAHAHAHAHAA
The fact that this channel has been here for 14 years and post all the time is legendary to me
"i" before "e" except after "c" LOL, thought I was the only one who still did that
Or when it sounds like "ay" as in "neighbor" or "weigh".
nope i do too
Every time I need to refresh my memory, or learn something new in math.. I type in the keywords, followed right by Khan.. Thank you Khan.. We needed you:)
This website has saved my ass so many times. In our math class we're supposed to teach the class ourselves (a pair teaches a lesson a day) and two morons "taught" this today and gave us all even problems so we can't check anything in the back. I hope I'm doing it right. Thanks :)
My teacher recommend me ur videos for further studying.. And I tried to give it a try.. Well I studied this lesson already but I like the way u represent ur work.. And some jokes in it.. And I think I found ur videos really valuables!! It actually goes in my brain whatever ur talking abt.. Nice!!
Where do u study, were you in high school when you were taught exponential and logarithmatic functions
6:45 Receive "i" before "e" except after c
i hate my percale teacher so much omg we have 80 minutes of class bc of bloc schedule he only explains for like 5-10 mins and lets us do hw it's like he doesn't give a fuc on this topic the other day he was like yeah jus plug it into the calculator bruh i want him to explain everything i wanna be interested in math but he jus makes me hate it so much
Is the worst thing about school for you the dementors?
thak u for being so patient, my math lecturer during online classes was so impatient and rude, but you have patience... may god bless u
Im 17 yrs old and this is the first time i learned the "i before e, but except after c" chant. Thank u
Starting with a negative exponent is a great idea. It really makes it clear for the student.
Short, clear, awesome-ly explained, excellent video! Thank you!
OMG, this video is so fun to watch. The example also give me an idea where this function could be used in real life. Thank you soooo much.
Thanks, guys! the way you deliver the knowledge is outstanding.
He’s your man for an intuitive grasp of mathematics. Simple clear explanation.
Nobody:
The THX sound: E X P O N E N T I A L I N C R E A S E
I like this video because it explains a lot more than other videos in just a little bit of time.
This actually helped me out a lot. Wow!
soooo helpful! even though this is easy stuff still very helpful... thanks for doing this!
"now send this chain to 10 more new people and if u dont you're going to have bad luck and ur hairs gonna fall out and ur gonna have to marry a frog" LMAO I LOVE THIS GUYYY
Psalms 27:14 - Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, i say, on the LORD.
You have no idea how much you’re helping me study for my quiz tomorrow
Thank you! Lightbulb went off for me too!
Short and clear my teacher had me see this and he gave a good recommendation.
U are out here saving lives, thank u
your videos are awesome, thanks soo much!!!
OMG Man you are the Man.. You explained this to me and added with what I was learning I turned the curb on this stuff. Thank you Sal

@@daviddaasian9685 the math packet goin into freshman year was tough man
thanks helped a lot!!!!!
a little confusing but helped
Very late comment but thank you for this video! It helped me because I started tutoring late and they were doing logarithm graphs and I didn't even know exponentials! I love your channel, if you even see this keep up the great work.
thank you for this! I learned more in this video than in a 2 hour class haha
great content... it was good revision for me and this lesson was funny at the end 😄
Hey, his word problem was also a really good example of spam :3
But it was a fairly good example of showing the exponential growth.
he always repeats so many things so many times but i like it because it makes me understand more
Me too 😌
Hey, your Sales Incentive payment is all sorted out and good to go!
my favourite video, because of the chain letter word problem
If you don't send that chain letter your hair will fall off or you'll marry a frog... LOL!! I get those all the time... xD
Love your sense of humor!
@@ahmadshayriah5734 are you alive?
@@ahmadshayriah5734 wth
Wow you both are very curious 🤨
thanks a lot your a life saver I have finals soon and you just teached me this in 7min while my teacher couldn’t in many classes
Taught is the past-tense of teach, teached isn't a word. But I agree with this statement, this channel is amazing.
Gracias por lq clara explicación
Sir, regarding exponential distribution, is it correct that both mean and standard deviation of an exponential distribution is the same and if so could you please explain how.
I don’t know much about maths but I just wanted to know what is the difference between Phi/ the golden ratio and Euler’s number/e and are the the same as or connected to the progression/Logarithmic Curves ?
Chaala Baga chepparu guruvugaru
Perfect ❤️
These videos should get more attention.
YOU ARE AMAZING OMG
Exponentials are so relatable. They are very dramatic.
Each next step is a tripple of the previous becasue it start with 3 as a base?
Wayyyy better than ALEXS, thanks man!
This guy explains in 8 minutes wayy better than my teacher does in an hour or two
That last problem is a good example of how youtube videos go viral so quickly. I usually share viral vids with people who wouldn't normally even be surfing youtube.
teachers should learn from you
these can help
How did you get -4 as an x-value? Did you just pluck it out of thin air?
Yeah he just picked an x value
this is still useful after 11 years
@ashthegreat I've seen him use that for a slightly complicated graph like the trig functions. Here probably he just wanted to present discrete values to show the extent of growth...
is this acc still live?
my teacher went literally so fast while teaching this so I just had to research on my own
khan! can you do a logistic growth function for algebra 2 level video? thankyou.
after 9 years he sadly never responded
6:45 KHAN ENGLISH YEAAAAHHHH!!!!!
lol chain letters great example!
3:21 seconds is the best thats what whe said!!!
Where do you get the numbers from the table from
Either that there aren't enough likes on this video or there are too many dislikes on this video..............
لبى فهمت عليك
I thought the formula for exponential growth was y=a(1+r)^t where y is the final amount, a is the original amount, r is the growth rate, and t was the time? Am I missing something?
On the table how do you even get the numbers like how do you go from 81 to 27 to 9
how coronavirus cases are increasing
Thank you!
What are the possible values of x? Is it the values of x given in the table? Can someone answer this please?
tnx
Pov : u didn’t understand anything in class so u have to rely to yt
Completed
Thanks
This is the most hilarious problem I’ve done
I'm Brazilian , but even though O don't understand English Very well , O can only follow the numbers
thx
You are the only reason why I am still in college. I can't stand math. Your vids is like my actual online tutor!
It’s really explode.
ooooohh! Nice pen!
Is anyone else here because of COVID19?
Yeah I don’t understand algebra at all 😃🤚🏼
@Caleb Chenowith ah as I am from the you have no idea that was the only the beginning
Lord knows i dont want my hair to fall out or marry a frog... LOL! Great explanation with chain letters. The problem that sent me here was bacterial growth, however your explanation was easier for me to visualize.
Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you. . . . I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." God will help! All of us confront fearful situations, and when we do remember that we are children of God and we must claim the promises that belong to us. He gives us His strength and courage. God helps His children. Never be ashamed about your faith, especially in times of fear. Instead put God first in your life and He will uphold you with His 'righteous right hand'
You guys should join me in saying a prayer "Father, I know I cannot escape this world's troubles, But I also know You will strengthen and help me" Amen!
Amen to this. 😌🤗🙏
@theparimo michael scott would be proud :)
Discalcula enters the chat
shows me better than my old cranky teacher
I have a question why are they fractions when he muiltiplys the negative powers
A negative exponent can be switched to a positive exponent if you divide it by one. So he moved the negative exponent to the bottom of the fraction to make it positive so he could solve. (I hope you can understand that)
Watching this at 1o’clock.😄
No podian poner subtitulos al español?
i don't wanna marry a frog. I gotta send those letters now ...
Exponential and logarithmic functions appear naturally as solutions of two most simple functional equations f(x+y)=f(x)f(y) and f(xy)=f(x)+f(y) so ubiquitous in science
4:03 Wouldn't even fit on my screen!
2nd best
Like vs watch ratio is so different why?
5:35 man I see those online all the time, those chain mails are honestly annoying D:
I realized you sound a bit like Rap Monster
did he explain how he turned them into fractions?
You saved me
did anyone keep track of how many times sal said explode in the video?
Actually, if I under stand this right on the 6th week 1,000,000 are SENT, but so far 1,111,110 people have RECIEVED the letter, you'd run out of people before week 9!
