This is what Yugioh needs. There are so many deck dives into Tier 1 decks. Having an excellent player like Jesse breakdown rogue/unplayable decks is so inviting.
@BatmanISTheGame there are plenty of deck profiles on top decks. It's just fun to see lower tier decks explored by top players when they otherwise wouldn't.
An idea I had was instead of the ton of bad structure decks we’ve been getting, a cool thing would be TCG exclusive structure decks. Once a year, they just print a good strategy and spend more time creating a quality archetype, rather than a bunch of bad ones. This would help budget players, they can chuck support or a wave 2 into a product if they’re worried about sales.
Theres a leaked fusion monster for ashened, that has protection and can be a superpoly target. As well as interrupting the oppenent with destroying every s/t on summon and then beeing able to destroy another card as quick effect
Knowing the new fusion, I hope they release a new Continuous trap for Veidos to set that allows you to fusion summon with yours and the opponent’s Pyro monsters, so that you don’t necessarily have to play Super Poly to get the fusion out.
Not really promising however, as an ultra rare extra deck upgrade of the secret rare boss monster of the theme was exactly what Tistina got leading its terrible wave of support...
@@alchemistarcher02 the problem is that Veidos doesn't allow the trap to be activated right away so the new trap would need to have that clause on itself to be good.
I would love to see a quick spell that does the fusion ok both sides and maybe a monster that you can discard as a quick effect to make all monster your opp controls pyro and then summons a veidos out of the deck to the opp field
love this type of content, it's so true that you can theory all day but not really understand a deck's strengths and weaknesses until you actually play it
So a cool way to get into your field spell is "Demise of The Land" which allows you to place a Field spell from your hand, or deck if your opponent special summons a monster(s). Its incredibly good for decks that rely on their field spells.
I really like this video. I learn how the deck works a bit, and I also get some insight to what you generally value in a deck, which can even help with deck building
bro I cannot describe how on the nose jesse was with asking for support, this shit was so perfectly made to fit EXACTLY Jesse's wants for this, and ngl, they hit it right on the goddamn money.
Going 2nd with board breakers is the ideal way to play it atm. no hand traps and all breakers. then if they make you go 1st you side into floodgate traps. deck is really solid if you play it this way, throwing in a mini kash package with fenrir birth, and unicorn along with pank, you just chip away at the board then "combo" off afterwords. trying to play through a board with this deck is legit impossible. Also lava golem cause you will mostly not be normaling and it can be taken off the trap as a 3k decrease. also Underworld goddess in this deck is wild and with the new fusion it helps the decks biggest issues of spell trap destruction.
The support does seem to plug some of the issues you pointed out. Offering some way to play into a grind as well as extra deck monsters, hoping to be at least rogue viable
I kinda like Horus Ashened and Vanquish Ashened. Horus because you can set rotatation Walls and Obsidim and the horus stuff survives Veidos pop with Sarc, and Vanquish is a r4 engine and you can use Stake with any ashened monsters to set up a draw engine.
I loved the video. Its nice to hear your opinions on card/archetype design for the less relevant decks even if it is just theory crafting. I still don't have any faith in Konami to give us any playable in the 2nd wave though.
There was a potential card leak in German that showed a Ashened dragon fusion that can't be destroyed or targeted, harpies feather the opponent, and when a card on field activates send one ashened monster from field to destroy that card. So if true, big potential to the deck.
if that leak is real and that fusion monster would be level 8 then you could even play "Albaz the Ashen" in an Ashened deck. Not that it would be good, but it's funny and the name kinda fits

I honestly quite like the current Ashened cards, but I'm also a casual player who is not interested in going to tournaments, so my mileage with those cards varies compared to the competitive scene. Just today I played against a friend who really wants to make Obelisk work, but has still some ways to go, to make his deck more consistent. Though admittedly I played a lot of staples and Droplet, Ash Blossom and Imperm did quite a lot of work to interrupt him, negating Egyptian God Slimes effect, weakening his monsters with Droplet, or denying him to throw cards from deck to graveyard with Ash. He never managed to either have Obelisk when God Slime was active, or establish a board when he had Obelisk, so he had to special summon him, to destroy my Hero, Veidos or one of my Link/Xyz monsters. One time he wanted to use Soul Crossing to tribute my three monsters for Obelisk, but I used Hero to pop my King to negate his Soul Crossing which was a really fun move to play. I would've done the same, if he special summoned Obelisk again, because if he attacked my King I would've lost. I already caught up with how Konami provides really weird support for TCG exclusive sets, so I hope that we get at least some cards that synergize well with wave 1 of the Ashened archetype and make some plays more consistent. I had to stall for several turns two times because I wouldn't get Priestress, Obsidim, or Awakening of Veidos in my starting hand, which would've completely bricked me if I played against a faster deck that can set floodgates up and I also didn't draw my secondary combo to easily bring out Banshee to search for Priestress. I'm also kinda sad that I stumbled upon this archetype so late, sadly Veidos seemed to have jumped in price quite a lot after his fusion was leaked, would've loved to at least pick one of each card up, but ~ 30€ is quite a steep price for a casual player.
The quality of your videos keep improving! Love to see it champ! Really enjoy these videos of someone breaking down archetypes and seeing what could possibly make them good. I doubt it, but would be great if Konami card designers saw these break downs to further improve the card pool for old and new archetypes.
Konami has a history of not providing TCG exclusive Archetypes the required support to become playable. Ghoti for example does not have a Ghoti starter. We have fish starters outside of Ghoti, but none of them help when it comes to enabling fish synchro strategies.
Ashened feels like a deck that would LOVE a card like FK Sanctuary. Another way to fetch the field spell, and some type of bonus effect based on names that get summoned, whether that be Veidos or other Ashened This is a great video, big fan
You should take an in-depth look into the "Horus" Archtype. So much versatility can be used for the engine... and I just love the fact my favortie deck; Blue-Eyes, got a HUGE boost with this in my opinion. Horus in volcanics, Phatom knights, Pure even. I really hope more Horus stuff comes down the tube!
When it comes to TCG archetypes it's usually not just the quality of the cards in the second wave, but that they often seem as if they had a different goal than the first wave and don't really flow into each other. Beetrooper becoming a fusion deck is one of those examples, but by far the worst is probably Tistina, a theme with levels all over the place and just a slight focus on level 10 monsters which just randomly got a rank 10 monster and an extender to enable it. As we all know that didn't work out. We already got a glimpse at Ashened's second wave, a big fusion monster that is the definition of a bomb and seems to be alright, but once again it will demand a very sharp turn for the deck to enable it to be truly usable, like a searchable in-house superpoly (the real deal, not like Eternal Favorite, a true Superpoly, so-called "spell speed 4" and it has to be absurdly consistent to get to). And due to previous experiences I really don't think that Konami will stick the landing.
We already know that they get a big Fusion form of Veidos, as other comments already pointed out. And don't forget the 1-2 OCG support cards in a few months. Last year brought Ghoti and Gold Pride. While Ghoti got almost exactly what they needed, the Gold Pride cards are complete duds that do nothing for the deck whatsoever. Maybe because Ghoti was on Master Duel for much longer, giving the OCG a better understanding of the deck? If thats the case, it doesn't look good for Ashened, as Tsitina is already out on MD.
This was a great video, and would love to see more like this. Now I want to say this in the nicest way possible but man if the acne isn't from a medical condition you should really look into it. For me personally, cutting down on the sugar, applying cream and eating healthier foods helped tremendously. Your videos are awesome and I wish you all the best ❤

So just so everyone is aware if they aren’t already Banshee’s SS back from banished requires you to also control a Pyro monster. So the play at 4:25 wouldn’t work. Great video tho!
i would have liked the asheneds to do something when they are killed by veidos.I like the deck but it feels more like veidos was built as a counter to this deck more then a direct part of the deck.The boards you build have a almost lore style to it,as if the lore mattered more then the gameplay. like summon all your monsters loop the dragon and blow it up?It would have been cool to see something like "all ashened monsters are ss at the end of the turn,so they could get their effects again." or maybe after killing the field,you can reveal a bonfire in your hand to bring back all ashened to the field.(this removes any and all status changes and couild be used in tune with veidos to dodge certain cards like thrust,lighting storm,and other blanket effects as well as targeting ones.
So as a master duel player i decided to look into this added all ashened cards (1 king obviously 2 trap) all tenpai dragons cards 1 ash 2 metalfoes fusion 3 TTT 1 thrust 40 card list ( gots to play 40 lol) ive been wrecking everything
I don't think anybody will really read this, but I have to say my favorite underrated cards have got to be Fleur Synchron. Look it's not going to be something that does everything, however it is a continuous free special summon from hand of any lvl 2 or lower each time you synchro summon using it. We and Arrive in Light has that card really does get overlooked with what's possible with it because of some of the advantage it gives. But that's just my thoughts on a few interesting cards.
@josecolon120891 It is technically searchable and does have some synergies. By searchable I mean apart from using tuning as it is an overtake Target. It's not so much a brick as it is more of a needs support for some things. I personally like use it with anything that gives free summons, but that's just me. Sorta that extender that can act as a starter with another card. Although not the best of the modern game it's still one of those cards I say is underrated. Arrive in light though really should see more play sometimes. As its effects trigger on your opponent synchro Summoning as well. Although again I can understand it situational but it still is an interesting card
White testing the Ashened deck I realized that Dharc on destruction can search you Veidos! Opinions on Bystials in the deck? Also thinking about running a Superpoly „engine“ regarding the announced Ashened fusion
I think a perfect card for the deck would be continuous spell that lets you add for a discard or if your opponents has vados lets you add 2 instead (or no need to discard) And ist the feld spell on field I think playing more with the concept of getting better effects if vados is on the opponents feld would be interesting like the trap. Making your opponents consider leaving him on board or removing him with a big downside could lead to some interesting game states.
How good do you think adamancipator will be with the new illusion synchro support?, I think they will be insanely broken as you get a free synchro from extra, grave or banished
"And still they sucked" (semi-cit) I'm now sure about it, this is the scheme of Konami about tcg exclusive archetypes: first captivating wave of cards you'll play as 2-3 ofs, second filler wave of cards you'll play as 1 ofs, ocg broken support cards you'll have to wait for. This is likely the third time in a row they do it, we should have guessed they'd again despite their """effort""" in this theme.
First off good video cool to see you testing it and hope to see another vid like is when support is released. I’ve personally been testing it quite a bit and I found a lot of different ways to play it. If you wanted to do a very streamline play style like the one you showed I would recommend the ZW’s for the engine as most the time you can get away with not using your normal summon to make your rank 4. Another way has been hyper synchro style with either the punk or visa monsters to make AFD and extend further power up the final board.
Me and a buddy playtested Ashened quite a bit, we definitely came to similar conclusions when it comes to absolutely needing 2 hero and the vados lines being strong but no good bridge from the ashened into the veidos. Maybe an extra deck link-2 would be good for bridging the gap in some way. Also we tested its synergy with Horus being that since you can kind of combo off with Horus on their own and they are protected from non target removal ( Like Veidos Grave effect ) they synergized very well especially since Hapi could add back the Ashened cards if they got removed by an opponents effect. Definitely looking forward to the next wave of support!
we also tried destrudo/Rev synchron lines to use priestess to make AFD so that way we could alternate between searching for the Horus field spell or the Ashened, whichever we had/needed as well as using Small World to try and bridge what we needed from hand, turned out not to bad but would eventually lose to the lack of grind game the deck had overall.
Hey Jesse, love the editing, the visual aids were awesome. The audio for the Classical music was a little too loud at times, perhaps consider using something with less ebb and flow and a more steady beat or tell your editor to use some ducking when your speaking and/or a filter, or something thay prevents the music from overpowering when it ramps up.
Thanks for sharing your testing input into the archetype, its always good to see folks testing outside the norm. if I might recommend, would potentially playing Skull Servant Tearlament be a potentially viable option? The new Wightsworn monster lets you effectively mill 5+ cards off of the dump of a wight baking, Idk if its as good as needlebug nest+Rollback, but Idk, Skull Servant keeps slowly getting banger cards, and I'd love to see more folks look at it, hopefully when Shifter gets axed.
There is a snake eyes line that in master duel people use with ancient fairy dragon to get into spyral combos. Do you think that line for getting into the ashen field spell could be useful here?
i played it i came to the same conclusion started with 2 king 2 hero but hero was so vital i cut king to one and add hero to 3 with 3 super poly its amazing cant wait for the support
I tried it pure , with like basically 7 dark rulers and 7 dark holes , idea was to go second , pop his field once with like dark ruler+dark hole , then to pop veidos with hero on his main at same moment I would usually use Nib , then rebuild n end on my next turn , works but not agains top decks
I'm trying to build a deck with these cards but I haven't been able to come up with something that's pretty reliable and consistent. I hope it gets some more stuff in the near future since I really like them and the artwork is amazing. Does anyone have a good deck list?
The deck lacks fire power in my opinion. I saw a combo where you start with awakening. and land on endlessness and 3 ashened monsters on your field; Priestess, King, and one of the other ashened. And your opponent has veidos. turn change then you blow the whole field to go with the the Veidos fusion. I feel like that's just not enough. This deck doesn't feel like a certain type of deck like an OTK or like a stun or a control. If this deck had more extra deck monsters and more combo based cards i think it'd be tier 1-2.
What the deck really needs is a misprinted search spell that adds any “ash” card to your hand. Any engine card, Ash Blossom, Snake Eye Ash - but also kASHtira fenrir and a whole bunch of other circumstantially broken shit.

I feel like this deck could use something similar to a Vaylantz fieldspell personally. That way certain decks don’t have you hinder your deck to some extent.
i find it funny that the play where he shows banishing the flame banshee to bring it back, it wouldnt have worked because flame banshee needs a pyro on field when it was banished to summon itself after being banished, and as far as i can tell all that was on field was a dharc and an S:P. The play is still sick irregardless, just found it kinda funny that THAT was the example you showed off.
Id love to know your thoughts on Gold Pride. I love the decks playstyle but there hasn’t been any innovation on it I’m a while. I’ve tried random things with friends that are fun, but would love a more competitive analysis of the archetype, it’s weakness, and possible deck builds!
This type of content is great to see and the video is really well made to. I think looking at tistina in a similar video could be very interesting, the deck has a lot of potential and is generally probably a bit higher power than ashened right now, but it still has clear problems and i would love to hear your opinion on them.
dude. i think it would be good idea to start a series where u create 5 custom cards for old tcg archtypes that would make them meta(kozmo, ba, ghoti) For kozmo I would create quick effect big ships monster that SS from hand, by destroying up too 2 kozmo cards from hand and/or field. So u can SS that kozmo lady that negates or dark destroyer during your OPP turn xD
ive been playing this deck a couple weeks now, going blind second and maindecking instant fusion, nib, fenrir and enemy controller to pretty good success really hope we will get more cool support :)
It’s kinda sad that Ashened isn’t good. I LOVE having a Dark Souls archetype but Konami dropped the ball on them. There’s a lot of archetypes that have insane potential but aren’t able to keep up with even the rogue options.
If it is possible it could be an engine. I never really loosed in to the deck or even read their cards. I am not sure if the deck is trash or not. I can not have an opinion. However, just from looks it does have that look that says my art work is raw but as a deck I am super trash 😂. Glad you took the time to learn it. Some things like that it is best to do just in case if someone is playing it you do not loose because of lack of knowledge after they open an excellent hand and yours is not good and you have to be flawless to win.
Plunder is not that bad tho. It topped tüme to time after getting jord. They just need a wind ship that will give it insane hand advantage cuz discarding only plunder cards to use effs hurts crazy expensive for an ok deck. Wind ship will change everything just wait
I think someone already said it; the clip where you banish and ss the inferno banshee is an illegal move. That clip you only control dharc abd s:p little knight and inferno banshee can only be summon back when you control a pyro monster.
i think all the monster have lv from 4 - 9. the new fusion is 10. the card is decent is somewhat better what tistina got. 6 cards to go. hoping they dont mess it up
Actually, there's a souls-like game called Ashen, and it's based on the ash topic. No. The character doesn't swing an Ash Blossom sword or a Snake-Eye Ash axe.
i feel like ocg yugioh got a bit angry at tcg archetypes being actually better than ocg archetypes as their fanbase probably doesnt like receiving those late (the irony of us always being second in line for op decks like snake eye)

Ghoti being cohesive as a rogue deck since release vs Tistina/Beetrooper not having any real synergy vs the insane synergy of PUNK and Gold Pride.
Beetroopers not having any synergy is the funniest shit i've ever heard since they work only thanks to their synergy with generic insect support

To reborn Banshee from banished you also need to control a Pyro
In other decks you search agnimal thing to go for baronne which is also a pyro so you can use that effect

So much versatility can be used for the engine... and I just love the fact my favortie deck; Blue-Eyes, got a HUGE boost with this in my opinion. Horus in volcanics, Phatom knights, Pure even. I really hope more Horus stuff comes down the tube!
When it comes to TCG archetypes it's usually not just the quality of the cards in the second wave, but that they often seem as if they had a different goal than the first wave and don't really flow into each other. Beetrooper becoming a fusion deck is one of those examples, but by far the worst is probably Tistina, a theme with levels all over the place and just a slight focus on level 10 monsters which just randomly got a rank 10 monster and an extender to enable it. As we all know that didn't work out. We already got a glimpse at Ashened's second wave, a big fusion monster that is the definition of a bomb and seems to be alright, but once again it will demand a very sharp turn for the deck to enable it to be truly usable, like a searchable in-house superpoly (the real deal, not like Eternal Favorite, a true Superpoly, so-called "spell speed 4" and it has to be absurdly consistent to get to). And due to previous experiences I really don't think that Konami will stick the landing.

Subterror was probably one Exclusive that was actually played more out of all the exclusives.
We already know that they get a big Fusion form of Veidos, as other comments already pointed out. And don't forget the 1-2 OCG support cards in a few months. Last year brought Ghoti and Gold Pride. While Ghoti got almost exactly what they needed, the Gold Pride cards are complete duds that do nothing for the deck whatsoever. Maybe because Ghoti was on Master Duel for much longer, giving the OCG a better understanding of the deck? If thats the case, it doesn't look good for Ashened, as Tsitina is already out on MD.
This was a great video, and would love to see more like this. Now I want to say this in the nicest way possible but man if the acne isn't from a medical condition you should really look into it. For me personally, cutting down on the sugar, applying cream and eating healthier foods helped tremendously. Your videos are awesome and I wish you all the best ❤

So just so everyone is aware if they aren’t already Banshee’s SS back from banished requires you to also control a Pyro monster. So the play at 4:25 wouldn’t work. Great video tho!
i would have liked the asheneds to do something when they are killed by veidos.I like the deck but it feels more like veidos was built as a counter to this deck more then a direct part of the deck.The boards you build have a almost lore style to it,as if the lore mattered more then the gameplay. like summon all your monsters loop the dragon and blow it up?It would have been cool to see something like "all ashened monsters are ss at the end of the turn,so they could get their effects again." or maybe after killing the field,you can reveal a bonfire in your hand to bring back all ashened to the field.(this removes any and all status changes and couild be used in tune with veidos to dodge certain cards like thrust,lighting storm,and other blanket effects as well as targeting ones.
So as a master duel player i decided to look into this added all ashened cards (1 king obviously 2 trap) all tenpai dragons cards 1 ash 2 metalfoes fusion 3 TTT 1 thrust 40 card list ( gots to play 40 lol) ive been wrecking everything

It really is, being able to super poly your opponent's entire board as long as you can get veidos and the field spell out is gonna be insane!
I don't think anybody will really read this, but I have to say my favorite underrated cards have got to be Fleur Synchron. Look it's not going to be something that does everything, however it is a continuous free special summon from hand of any lvl 2 or lower each time you synchro summon using it. We and Arrive in Light has that card really does get overlooked with what's possible with it because of some of the advantage it gives. But that's just my thoughts on a few interesting cards.
Flyer synchron is mid because it’s a brick to draw at least with assault synchron you can still do something with it in hand
@josecolon120891 It is technically searchable and does have some synergies. By searchable I mean apart from using tuning as it is an overtake Target. It's not so much a brick as it is more of a needs support for some things. I personally like use it with anything that gives free summons, but that's just me. Sorta that extender that can act as a starter with another card. Although not the best of the modern game it's still one of those cards I say is underrated. Arrive in light though really should see more play sometimes. As its effects trigger on your opponent synchro Summoning as well. Although again I can understand it situational but it still is an interesting card
White testing the Ashened deck I realized that Dharc on destruction can search you Veidos! Opinions on Bystials in the deck? Also thinking about running a Superpoly „engine“ regarding the announced Ashened fusion

I think a perfect card for the deck would be continuous spell that lets you add for a discard or if your opponents has vados lets you add 2 instead (or no need to discard)
And ist the feld spell on field
I think playing more with the concept of getting better effects if vados is on the opponents feld would be interesting like the trap.
Making your opponents consider leaving him on board or removing him with a big downside could lead to some interesting game states.

I'm now sure about it, this is the scheme of Konami about tcg exclusive archetypes: first captivating wave of cards you'll play as 2-3 ofs, second filler wave of cards you'll play as 1 ofs, ocg broken support cards you'll have to wait for. This is likely the third time in a row they do it, we should have guessed they'd again despite their """effort""" in this theme.

First off good video cool to see you testing it and hope to see another vid like is when support is released.
I’ve personally been testing it quite a bit and I found a lot of different ways to play it. If you wanted to do a very streamline play style like the one you showed I would recommend the ZW’s for the engine as most the time you can get away with not using your normal summon to make your rank 4. Another way has been hyper synchro style with either the punk or visa monsters to make AFD and extend further power up the final board.
With the leaked fusion, I'm almost sure 1 of their cards will be a continuous trap with a super poly-like effect

Me and a buddy playtested Ashened quite a bit, we definitely came to similar conclusions when it comes to absolutely needing 2 hero and the vados lines being strong but no good bridge from the ashened into the veidos. Maybe an extra deck link-2 would be good for bridging the gap in some way.
Also we tested its synergy with Horus being that since you can kind of combo off with Horus on their own and they are protected from non target removal ( Like Veidos Grave effect ) they synergized very well especially since Hapi could add back the Ashened cards if they got removed by an opponents effect.
Definitely looking forward to the next wave of support!
we also tried destrudo/Rev synchron lines to use priestess to make AFD so that way we could alternate between searching for the Horus field spell or the Ashened, whichever we had/needed as well as using Small World to try and bridge what we needed from hand, turned out not to bad but would eventually lose to the lack of grind game the deck had overall.
Hey Jesse, love the editing, the visual aids were awesome. The audio for the Classical music was a little too loud at times, perhaps consider using something with less ebb and flow and a more steady beat or tell your editor to use some ducking when your speaking and/or a filter, or something thay prevents the music from overpowering when it ramps up.
Why didn't you talk about the revealed fusion monster? Or cards that could come off the bablist to help it, like set rotation etc.
Thanks for sharing your testing input into the archetype, its always good to see folks testing outside the norm. if I might recommend, would potentially playing Skull Servant Tearlament be a potentially viable option? The new Wightsworn monster lets you effectively mill 5+ cards off of the dump of a wight baking, Idk if its as good as needlebug nest+Rollback, but Idk, Skull Servant keeps slowly getting banger cards, and I'd love to see more folks look at it, hopefully when Shifter gets axed.
What about revisiting this with the new support? The fusion and all that jazz
There is a snake eyes line that in master duel people use with ancient fairy dragon to get into spyral combos. Do you think that line for getting into the ashen field spell could be useful here?

i played it i came to the same conclusion started with 2 king 2 hero but hero was so vital i cut king to one and add hero to 3 with 3 super poly its amazing cant wait for the support
I tried it pure , with like basically 7 dark rulers and 7 dark holes , idea was to go second , pop his field once with like dark ruler+dark hole , then to pop veidos with hero on his main at same moment I would usually use Nib , then rebuild n end on my next turn , works but not agains top decks
I'm trying to build a deck with these cards but I haven't been able to come up with something that's pretty reliable and consistent. I hope it gets some more stuff in the near future since I really like them and the artwork is amazing. Does anyone have a good deck list?
Technically Mutants were a TCG Exclusive with only one wave of support for the most part.
The deck lacks fire power in my opinion. I saw a combo where you start with awakening. and land on endlessness and 3 ashened monsters on your field; Priestess, King, and one of the other ashened. And your opponent has veidos. turn change then you blow the whole field to go with the the Veidos fusion. I feel like that's just not enough. This deck doesn't feel like a certain type of deck like an OTK or like a stun or a control. If this deck had more extra deck monsters and more combo based cards i think it'd be tier 1-2.
What the deck really needs is a misprinted search spell that adds any “ash” card to your hand. Any engine card, Ash Blossom, Snake Eye Ash - but also kASHtira fenrir and a whole bunch of other circumstantially broken shit.
They actually got new stuff and they have a in them super poly which is a trapwhich can be searched and a really cool fusion card

I feel like this deck could use something similar to a Vaylantz fieldspell personally. That way certain decks don’t have you hinder your deck to some extent.
I think this deck could use Springans style spells, like watch or the continuous one, Both provide ways to golganda.
Also I’ve been testing with lair, just because it was dark so allure would hit better and its field spell.
i find it funny that the play where he shows banishing the flame banshee to bring it back, it wouldnt have worked because flame banshee needs a pyro on field when it was banished to summon itself after being banished, and as far as i can tell all that was on field was a dharc and an S:P. The play is still sick irregardless, just found it kinda funny that THAT was the example you showed off.
Give it the scareclaw treatment, a in archetype link one that searches the field spell on summon 👍

Id love to know your thoughts on Gold Pride. I love the decks playstyle but there hasn’t been any innovation on it I’m a while. I’ve tried random things with friends that are fun, but would love a more competitive analysis of the archetype, it’s weakness, and possible deck builds!
This type of content is great to see and the video is really well made to. I think looking at tistina in a similar video could be very interesting, the deck has a lot of potential and is generally probably a bit higher power than ashened right now, but it still has clear problems and i would love to hear your opinion on them.
dude. i think it would be good idea to start a series where u create 5 custom cards for old tcg archtypes that would make them meta(kozmo, ba, ghoti)
For kozmo I would create quick effect big ships monster that SS from hand, by destroying up too 2 kozmo cards from hand and/or field. So u can SS that kozmo lady that negates or dark destroyer during your OPP turn xD
ive been playing this deck a couple weeks now, going blind second and maindecking instant fusion, nib, fenrir and enemy controller to pretty good success

Hoping Ashened gets some new support to help it out. The artwork for this archetype is gorgeous.
It’s kinda sad that Ashened isn’t good. I LOVE having a Dark Souls archetype but Konami dropped the ball on them. There’s a lot of archetypes that have insane potential but aren’t able to keep up with even the rogue options.

This archetype is good, it can defeat mega decks. Whatever this can be considered a meta deck… I’m not so sure. But I swear, it is good!
If it is possible it could be an engine. I never really loosed in to the deck or even read their cards. I am not sure if the deck is trash or not. I can not have an opinion. However, just from looks it does have that look that says my art work is raw but as a deck I am super trash 😂. Glad you took the time to learn it. Some things like that it is best to do just in case if someone is playing it you do not loose because of lack of knowledge after they open an excellent hand and yours is not good and you have to be flawless to win.
Plunder is not that bad tho. It topped tüme to time after getting jord. They just need a wind ship that will give it insane hand advantage cuz discarding only plunder cards to use effs hurts crazy expensive for an ok deck. Wind ship will change everything just wait
I think someone already said it; the clip where you banish and ss the inferno banshee is an illegal move. That clip you only control dharc abd s:p little knight and inferno banshee can only be summon back when you control a pyro monster.

No. The character doesn't swing an Ash Blossom sword or a Snake-Eye Ash axe.
i feel like ocg yugioh got a bit angry at tcg archetypes being actually better than ocg archetypes as their fanbase probably doesnt like receiving those late (the irony of us always being second in line for op decks like snake eye)
Did the second wave get revealed? All I can find is one fusion so far.
