This is exactly the type of content the yugitube space needs but has been missing, so it’s great to see one of the GOATs providing it.
I appreciate the fire feedback you’ve be providing recently and also enjoy your content as well! Thanks for all the support 🙏🏽
I 100% agree from someone who watch every competitive content
"We don't know if the Trap Card is Compulse, Imperm, or Daruma Cannon until we open the box"
"Activate Torrential"
"Shut Up"
😂😂😂
But it would do nothing, or the spell in gy can only protect 1 at a time
Storming mirror force
@@luizhenriquedasilva1538correct pretty sure it just protects all dragons from being destroyed. It’s like branded opening. So it wouldn’t have done anything
procede to activate mirror force
So from my understanding, summoning both Blue-Eyes and proceeding to battle would technically have the highest success potential because the advantage is guaranteed vs Compulsory and Imperm, and vs Daruma, the pressure to make a decision is actually put back on the opponent since two monsters on the field now represent multiple unknown options as well. I found that crossing each main decision line with each main unknown on a table (1 = Advantaged Outcome, 0 = Neutral Outcome, -1 = Disadvantaged Outcome) really helped me understand an experiment like this. Would really appreciate any feedback/ideas for applying this concept further, great video all around. 👍
Absolutely love the way you broke this down! Hope this video was helpful and thank you so much for the support 🙏🏽
The timing of this video is PERFECT 👌 Congratulations on the win King!
Hopefully it helps and thank you so much!!
@jessekottonygo yessir! I'm about to take my lunch from work and I got my note pad READY lol
First thing you need: being Jesse Kotton

He won?
This was actually amazing. It's easy to say "just play around everything" but when you present the topic like this, it really digs deeper into the why and how we *play around everything* mentality. 10/10
Dude. This content is incredible. Not only is the production insane, the wisdom is so valuable. For many years I’ve been a casual duelist purely because of budget constraints, which sort of kept me from having the motivation to go deep into game theory. Now that I have expendable income I’m trying to up my skills so that I can have experiences like attending a YCS. Please keep this type of content coming and humongous congrats on the win 🏆 what you’re doing for the community is much appreciated!
Thank you so much for the support and looking to make more budget friendly videos soon so stay tuned! 🙏🏽
Great video but a bit frustrating for headphones users that you only get sound from one side
We'll get that fixed for the next one!
Not going to lie I'm glad I wasn't the only one this happened to. I had to do a headphone check😂
amen
@@shadowfox4562lmao I just finished doing a check 😭
The volume of the voice was low until the last 4ish minutes
This is the exact type of content i was hoping for when i subscribed. Really enjoying the higher energy and faster pace in addition the invaluable information.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give feedback and stay tuned for all the new content coming soon! 🙏🏽
I have never been so engrossed in a Yu-Gi-Oh video on RUclips before. Started off intending to have this on in the background and couldn’t stop watching. Really insightful to hear Jesse break this down.
Thank you so much for the feedback, we put a lot of time and effort into this video so I hope it helped and I appreciate you! 🙏🏽
I rly like these kinds of videos with examples. Can u please do a video on how you approach side decking?
thanks! and that's a great idea, we'll put it in the queue 😎
yeah, both what cards to consider ws well as general side deck patterns would be amazing
1. Congrats on the win!
2. Ain’t no way you starting a Yugioh video with Quantum Physics. XD
only the real know 😎
Hey Jesse, nothing here to say besides that this content is great content, I'm glad this exists. Keep up the good work and I hope this video gets infinite views.
It's really hard to explain the esoterics behind some of these super skillful plays and deckbuilding choices, especially for people that mainly play on sims. This type of content really helps mitigating bad faith arguments around the skills involved in a high level match of ygo or card games in general.
I know people have already said that this is the type of content the community has a need for. But I also want to stress that the quality of the video itself it also very high and it shows. I hope you continue doing this type of content!
why my left ear
this is so fucking funny to me xD
I thought my AirPods were broken lol
Congrats on the win goat! And this video is an unexpected surprise and treat, thank you. X)
Thank you so much for all the support and look out for more surprises on the way 👀
@@jessekottonygo You're very welcome, oh ho makes me excited for the future. 😤
Sending you love from your mother land 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 We are always routing for you this side
I find a good way to think of negates and stoppers are like club bouncers. If you see them more as protection and intimidation you'll fare better than someone who shotguns them at every turn when they don't necessarily need to. Your average go-first board won't have 6 disruptions for a 6-card hand. The best method is to generally wait until their resource level matches or is under the threshold of the interruptions you have. It's what makes stopping cards that send for cost more ideal targets for negation than not. If you just do one-for-one trades you're leaving yourself open to a potential blowout card. If you hold things more, your opponent has to play a constant cat and mouse game that could ultimately lead to them misplaying on their own or walking into a worse trap. It's also why if you do play something like Mannadium for example and have multiple interruptions, the thing that gets your opponent may very well just be the Ash blossom or imperm that they didn't know about and that you should ideally save for last as opposed to stopping it with something they know about.
I love these kinds of videos, I feel these technical knowledge videos that apply to multiple formats are something we need more of. Extremely informative and useful! Congrats on the win btw!
P.S. kudos to the editor, love the transitions and we can see the effort that went into putting everything together 👍
Absolutely love the feedback and time you put into writing this, hope the video was helpful and thank you for all the support! 🙏🏽
Congratulations for your win at the UDS Jessie!
Thank you so much, I only was able to pull through because of support like this 🙏🏽
Congrats on the big win man!
Thanks so much! Honestly, technical play like these helped me get there 😎
Your wisdom is always appreciated. Thank you, Sensei!
Happy to share what I’ve learned and hope it helps!
Wow this was amazing! Very cool to see the in-depth analysis! It’s like I’m taking game theory all over again
This is definitely the kind of competitive content that we need more of. That was very informative.
i really liked this video! hopefully you'll make more like these with examples for us casual players trying to become more competitive :D
Absolutely! I hope the examples helped understand the competitive ideas a little better and definitely looking to keeping that in the next ones!
@@jessekottonygo i definitely did! I'm looking forward to the next ones :D
Okay now this editor is really a goat ty for making this videos more intersting 🥂
He really showed a situation in which the dragon player looses regardless. 😂. My boy a chess god outchea.
The last tipp was really helpful. It is so obvious, but I always give away my advantage by prematurely activating effect.
Gonna keep that in mind and let my opponent outplay themselves ;)
True!! If you searched any disruptions like a counter trap or a hand trap it's always better to use those first as opposed to using the imperm you opened with and set
Excellent content Jesse! This is exactly the kind of competitive content that Yugioh is missing!
See ya at the next Niagara/Toronto regionals!
Love this content Jesse! :) Congrats to the YCS and greetings from Germany!
Absolute banger vid Jesse! Congrats on the UDS win! Jesse Kotton Intimidating Aura strikes again
new edit quality is extraordinary! also this video taught me a lot. Hearing the mentality of Yugioh Champs is always mind blowing.. like when your opp doesn't have full combo with 3 cards still in hand.. these are likely hand traps (or maybe extra normal summons that they couldn't use?). I'd assume they're hand traps and expect to get interrupted during my turn. I picked this up from Josh, and now.. playing around stuff that I can/'t beat mentality from Jesse. Scenario A vs B.. I love it!
This was very insightful and i would love to see more content like this in the future! It was also really cool to see you at the rosemont regional and watch some of your gameplay. I ended 7th with pure SE, but you were definitely piloting the snake eye cards better than i was after watching some of your games 😅. Looking forward to your next upload, and huge congrats on the uds championship win!
This was an amazing video! Hopefully more of this series is to come! Also congrats on the UUDS win! My man is the GOAT!
Definitely more of this series on its way and thank you so much! Was only able to comeback because of support like this!!
Sound is messed up. Seems interesting there's so many comments praising the production quality... O well. Congratulations Jesse, great info. Maybe work on that terrible audio issue tho
Very good insight on the game. Thats why you’re a champion. One of my main problems is my lack of matchup knowledge and not putting extra thought into what I could be playing into. I have learned to play around ash, imperm etc, but it’s the actual archetypes I need to learn to play around better. Like knowing when to ash or interrupt.
Congrats on the uds win man! I was so happy you won. Hard work pays off
Hey it was almost 20 years in the making so thank you for all the support!!
@@jessekottonygo well deserved👊🏻
This is the kind of content we needed in the scene Jesse. Thank you. Can't wait for "How to win a UDS"
So basically just hold your interactions till you have to use them or they can be most effectively used to stop your opponent
Man, no wonder you have 37k subs!
Quality content and nice video!
Love the competitive content keep is going!
Excellent video, love this kind of competitive content explaining how to actually get better at the game
All I want is to help elevate the game with what I’ve learned over the years so hopefully it helped!
Was a pleasure meeting you at the Chicago regional. Great content 😊
Jessy Cotton explains Schrödinger's traps. Wonderful! (However, didn't make a nod towards the Yu-Gi-Oh-card "Quantum Cat", which references Schrödinger's cat though.)
A win and a new video from jesse ?
We balling 🔥
Congrats chamb
and a staple tier list coming soon 🤫 thanks for the support!!
I really enjoy your "advice" videos. I would like to think that I've gotten better at deck building because of them. Congrats on the win. How many UDS titles do you have now?
Great video and great quality!
Congrats on your win! 🔥
Audio balance seems off. I think voice is set to come out of one speaker, moreso the left.
Just a heads up, the audio is off for this video, but it is amazing nonetheless. This is something i've trying, but I couldn't really put it into words or a solid idea, but now that you have, i feel like i can improve further
Amazing video another take would be bluffing in tournaments is great skill strategy
This type of content is amazing, thank you Jesse, keep it up !
Thank you so much! I put a lot into this video so I’m looking forward to share the rest with you all 🙏🏽
Quality editing and insight, keep it up champ!
Great video Jesse as always 🎉
The GOAT dropping knowledge. Much appreciated!
Congrats on the Win champ and thanks for such educational content :)
Top Quality content and nice presentation/edit. Great Video, I'm anxious for more!
Awesome vid and some solid casual freindly advice
Thnx JC
Did you hire new editor? Vid transition is so nice. And great content too. Congrats GOAT.
Great video! would love a follow up that's some simple examples to think through (like yugioh 'win this turn' puzzles). Also sad that you mentioned schrodinger but not quantum cat, the yugioh card
Omg now I'm dreaming of you making a course on the mathematical foundation of quantum mechanics ❤ a man can dream. Congratulations 🎉
Congrats on the win. That was a great final match
Thanks for the support! Juan is such a great player so it was a tough one forsure
Content idea. Constructed duels. Get 2 great players, give them specific hands + draws.
Repeat this with different players and watch how the small differences affect the game drastically
Congrats on being undisputed UDS Champ! Watched the Snow Stream earlier in the week too. 2024 the year of Kotton.
I appreciate you supporting through the streams and sending me positivity! Hope you found this video helpful 🙏🏽
I love the critical thinking part, great supporter of it. In the blue eyes scenario pressure with 2 blue eyes was def the way. Nice video Jesse! Sam Madani here.
Appreciate the thorough presentation on the scenarios. This was really well thought out and articulated
Thank you so much for the feedback, the video took a lot of time and effort so I appreciate the support 🙏🏽
Good editing! Information in the video is pretty beginner tho
Jesse congratulations on the UDS!
Great philosophy ,in other words make the best possibly play given the scenario and if they have it they have it
Love this exactly what I need to become a better player thank you!! 🙏🏾
great video man
audio sounds a bit off, but great video regardless
Why is the audio of this video split? I can only hear the voice in my left ear and it is really distracting
Congrats on the win! And thanks for the amazing video!
Support like this helped me push through, thank you so much!
Don't be surprised if you see a strange face in the grand final next time 😂
Fantastic video and congratulations
Also great video, beside the great impute it looks really professional 😊
I have so much to catch up on after 20 years of not playing 😩
Expensive edition and proxies. I liked the message this contradiction transmits. Really.
5:16 Lovely shouldn't be able to trigger here, as Ding would send the Lovely before it even has a chance to activate
Great vid but the Audio mixing has all the voiceover on the left ear and all the sound effects on the right. It’s borderline unlistenable on headphones for me
Yo congrats on the win loved that anima play over the weekend with zeatlantis. Keep up the killer work love this video. Understanding your thought process definitely helps getting better
Thank you so much for the feedback and hopefully the video helped! 🙏🏽
I'm only slightly upset that no Ojamas were used in filming this video. Great stuff Jesse! keep up the great work!
Congrats for the UDS, you are the GOAT. Greetings from Chile
I appreciate your support so much and I love Chile! Thanks!
The video quality 10/10 🔥
You’re an even better quality player Dihn 🙏🏽
Wow, high quality video. The content and effects

Quantum entanglement really lol haha great stuff

Also congratz on the big win!

More Jesse philosophy🙏🏼
Milano the goat 🐐
Bro I was tripping I had only my right earbud in and I was like no way he uploaded with no audio LOL
Such a big editing improvement compared to your other videos. The quality is so much better and it makes it more fun to watch. Your videos were always good content but with this it's on another level. CONGRATS
Now that I’ve seen the blue eyes cards, I want a card list! Card List Button-->
