Of all the youtubers writing books, it seems most authentic coming from you guys. You’ve actually experienced so much together and aren’t actually just a 22 year old hoping to tell everyone how hard high school was.
Unlike every other RUclipsr who only ever deliver pointless vlogs and advertise their merch all the time, rhett and link and their team bring amazing episodes to us everyday that are well planned, well written and edited so well and so so professionally. They worked so hard on this book, it's their right to advertise their work.

I don't understand all of the hate, they spent forever on this book and are proud of their work and some of you people have to say that you want a "real GMM episode". Just because its not a "will it" episode doesn't mean its not a real episode some real fans want to see this and are happy for them.
I don't see much hate. I see more fair criticism. It could be a good book, but I really don't care for an ad to take up an episode slot. They can do what they want, but there's nothing wrong with voicing distaste as long as its respectful. Criticism should attack behavior and actions rather than the person or persons themselves.
It's very much a real episode for people who haven't bought the book yet and are thinking about it. If you are not interested, you can easily skip this episode instead of being rude.
No one is being rude. Yes, episodes can be skipped, but when you want actual content that isn't pretty much an ad, skipping it doesn't make things better. We're annoyed because a slot we would otherwise enjoy is taken up by something else. Call it a real episode or whatever you want; it's still an ad, and we're not wrong to dislike that and voice our dissatisfaction. The comment section isn't only for positive feedback. It's not for abuse and insults either, but no one is doing that here.
I was suffering from depression and anxiety last year and I was struggling with happiness. You two really kept me alive, literally. Thank you guys so much for that. 😊

Not only that but they've made hundreds if not thousands of hours of completely free content... this episode is 10 minutes to promote something they made FOR US. For fans. i received this book today and just took it out of the box. i didn't expect to cry when i opened it up before i had even read a word. i have been a mythical beast since 2013 and can't believe you two have come this far. the show has developed and grown but you are still the amazing, funny, and overall incredible people i subscribed to years ago. your videos have helped me so much- especially in the last year or so. struggling with depression, anxiety, adhd, ocd, and stressing about applying for highschool has been incredibly stressful but you two making these crazy, fun, and creative videos just make me feel so much better. i will try hard to be my mythical best! thank you so much.
Dear Rhett and Link, I still find it amazing that friends can be friends for 30 years, and it gives me hope for my best friends that I have known for 10 to 15+ years. But it also makes me nostalgic and sad because when I met my first and best friend, I was just five years old, just going into kindergarten. Every day, we would sit next to each other, laughing and avoiding homework for years. We had the same classes together until High School (so every class we had each other kindergarten to 8th grade, where at least one class each year we had each other). High school went by with no classes together, and we still clung close, each respecting each other's different views on life, love, family, religion, nearly everything different but still parallel. College years came by for him, and I did not go to college, instead focusing on work, trying new paths, building a credit score, buying my own car. Again, everything different, yet parallel. We would find times on his breaks and Summers to hang out in our crazy schedules. Dinners with family here, outings to the bar there, going to the local lake over there, and even going to see Neil Gaiman and giving my best friend my 2nd copy of the 1st Sandman comic for Mr. Gaiman to sign and for my best friend to keep. My best friend "Big" Bob (he was tall, broad, Nordic descent) died of an Epileptic seizure a month before he graduated college. Not a week goes by in nearly four years that I do not think about how we could have grown up, how closer we could have become. Or apart. We were friends for 15 years at that time, and every other best friend I had (maybe three others) were only half that number. You two, Rhett and Link, are proof that friendships do last beyond lifetimes. I wake up early every morning for work, and I look forward to every video you produce with your friend, and your crew that is your family, and your dogs. Thank you. From the bottom of my soul, Q.

LeAndra Purvis They've been friends since 1rst grade, I believe. Of course they'll annoy each other sometimes, but never to the point of hating each other and breaking their friendship. Why do I say that? Well, because if that'd happen, why hasn't it happened sooner?
On some of the early eps, they had times where you could tell they were annoyed with each other, but yeah... they're best friends. Just like any long term relationship, it has ups and downs. They're still best friends, but I don't think they probably fight as much as they did in they early days of GMM because they have staff now. It's not just them and Jason in a tiny room doing all the work lol. Familiarity can breed contempt sometimes, and I think that with them having staff, they're able to spend time apart if it starts to be too much, instead of having to be in the same room ALL. DAY. LONG.
I am so excited for the book! Watching GMM is a part of my daily routine and has become a big part in our lives! My daughter and I even have my Mom watching! 3 generations guys! 😂 Congrats on the book and stay Mythical!

i received this book today and just took it out of the box. i didn't expect to cry when i opened it up before i had even read a word. i have been a mythical beast since 2013 and can't believe you two have come this far. the show has developed and grown but you are still the amazing, funny, and overall incredible people i subscribed to years ago. your videos have helped me so much- especially in the last year or so. struggling with depression, anxiety, adhd, ocd, and stressing about applying for highschool has been incredibly stressful but you two making these crazy, fun, and creative videos just make me feel so much better. i will try hard to be my mythical best! thank you so much.

I still find it amazing that friends can be friends for 30 years, and it gives me hope for my best friends that I have known for 10 to 15+ years. But it also makes me nostalgic and sad because when I met my first and best friend, I was just five years old, just going into kindergarten. Every day, we would sit next to each other, laughing and avoiding homework for years. We had the same classes together until High School (so every class we had each other kindergarten to 8th grade, where at least one class each year we had each other). High school went by with no classes together, and we still clung close, each respecting each other's different views on life, love, family, religion, nearly everything different but still parallel.
College years came by for him, and I did not go to college, instead focusing on work, trying new paths, building a credit score, buying my own car. Again, everything different, yet parallel. We would find times on his breaks and Summers to hang out in our crazy schedules. Dinners with family here, outings to the bar there, going to the local lake over there, and even going to see Neil Gaiman and giving my best friend my 2nd copy of the 1st Sandman comic for Mr. Gaiman to sign and for my best friend to keep.
My best friend "Big" Bob (he was tall, broad, Nordic descent) died of an Epileptic seizure a month before he graduated college. Not a week goes by in nearly four years that I do not think about how we could have grown up, how closer we could have become. Or apart. We were friends for 15 years at that time, and every other best friend I had (maybe three others) were only half that number.
You two, Rhett and Link, are proof that friendships do last beyond lifetimes. I wake up early every morning for work, and I look forward to every video you produce with your friend, and your crew that is your family, and your dogs. Thank you.

Ive jump back and fourth to you two over the years and I swear your just a breath of fresh air from real life. from watching the funny childlike but interesting content and having a bestfriend myself till this day the show is valuable in a place like today. flawless marketing job and for what its worth I'm proud of you guys.

LeAndra Purvis They've been friends since 1rst grade, I believe. Of course they'll annoy each other sometimes, but never to the point of hating each other and breaking their friendship. Why do I say that? Well, because if that'd happen, why hasn't it happened sooner?
On some of the early eps, they had times where you could tell they were annoyed with each other, but yeah... they're best friends. Just like any long term relationship, it has ups and downs. They're still best friends, but I don't think they probably fight as much as they did in they early days of GMM because they have staff now. It's not just them and Jason in a tiny room doing all the work lol. Familiarity can breed contempt sometimes, and I think that with them having staff, they're able to spend time apart if it starts to be too much, instead of having to be in the same room ALL. DAY. LONG.
