What was found under this boulder? GOLD! Pioneer Pauly called me up the other day and said "Help! Dan I can't look for gold in the weather we are getting here. can I come join you for a weekend?" And of course I said yes, any chance I can get to go searching for the "Candy" with Pauly I jump at. So Pauly and I got to spend a couple days on Tranquille river moving boulders and sniping bedrock for gold. We were also joined by "The Goldpanners" Mike and Bryson who run a facebook group by the same name "The Goldpanners" / thegoldpanners They spend most of thee day gold panning the gravel bar mate close by.
We had so much fun!

Wayne, being a senior citizen and disabled myself, I agree with you 100%. I sometimes find myself pointing at my screen as if I’m trying to show Dan what I believe to be a nice gold nugget or picker. Lol
I’d personally would love to do exactly what they are doing, however living in southeast Texas where i don’t know of any gold rich locations, so the only gold I might ever be lucky enough to find would be lost or hidden gold jewelry or coins using a detector which would be okay but seemingly not exactly the same as being out digging and panning the river banks, and or snipping for gold in bedrock crevices of those beautiful rivers surrounded by mountains and nature! Take care…

It looks like you all had a great day and found some nice gold, I use to show more gold in my videos, but then my spots would get hammered like that too. Always heard stories about there being gold in Tranquille, but didn't think it could be this much fun to find. I'm usually on the other side of the lake looking for Glass Insulators, but perhaps when it gets warmer its time to see what all the fuss is about. cheers from a fellow Kamloops resident.

Thank you, Dan, wonderful program, nice bunch of guys. I have found a glacier erratic from about 14,000 years ago, it is a rock about 3 meters in diameter and 12 inches thick, comes out to about a little over a ton (2,000 lbs.) It is a pink granite (Potassium Feldspar) with streaks of quartz with accents of gold in the quartz. Have a little hand held metal detector coming to make sure it is gold. Stone is down in a small valley, I am now 73 and first saw the stone when I was about 6 years old. Want to get it moved where many people like at our high school will be able to see it and learn from it. Don't know where it came from but probably from around your neighborhood, or somewhere farther north.
You are all a bunch of brave guys panning gold in such conditions. Wish I were there!

Your awsome. I will start working on a claim this year. Near Prince George on a feeder Creek above the Fraser. Lots of platinum and gold right on the surface. No Bedrock insight or so I was told. My boys and i enjoy the content. We are waiting on the high waters here in Alabama to drop from all the rain so we can get back on the creeks and rivers. Our gold is super fine but fun to pan.
