    Hey dude! We briefly met at the bottom of jackpot on north mountain last summer during the cascadia dirt cup. Cool to see you making videos. I feel our region is under represented on RUclips relative to how great our trails are. Keep it up!

    Damn, wish I was mediocre enough to justify a such damn nice bike. Time will come!
    The joking aside, this really is an insane build for the price. Looking into a Capra myself for next year. Im curious to see how you like it

      Yeah I’m just barely mediocre enough to justify it 😂 I’ve been on one ride so far and was very impressed. I’ll be posting some first ride and review videos in the upcoming weeks

    Trust, me they still make money at that price point. Mid level to highend bikes are crazy over priced. They would make money at 50% off.

    Nice video. Did you remove the cover that came on the bike.? And motored a new RideWrap.? Or how did you do it? Curious?

    • @MediocreMitchMTB
      @MediocreMitchMTB  Год назад

      Thanks! I actually left the areas of the frame that already came with protection on them, and then added some RideWrap pieces around it to protect the rest of the frame. Not sure if that was the easiest solution but it worked for me

    what is your overall impression of the Crankbrothers Synthesis Alloy Enduro, 29” wheels? I just ordered mine but not sure if selling them and keep the DT Swiss EX1700 or leave them on. Thanks

    • @MediocreMitchMTB
      @MediocreMitchMTB  10 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve liked them a lot. Very solid set of wheels in my experience. I did bend the side of one of my rims a few months ago, but it was completely my fault when I came down hard on a sharp rock. See this video:
      ruclips.net/video/HFJ-kI8z0Hk/видео.htmlsi=C3nWbMpflL-YQZ55
      But since it’s aluminum I just bent the side of the rim back in place and it’s still holding air great and never cracked. I like that the wheels are front and rear specific. The rear is stronger and stiffer. The front a bit more compliant.

      What about the hub? Does require a lot of maintenance or breaks often? Thank you very much for your quick response. The bike arrives tomorrow 😅

    • @MediocreMitchMTB
      @MediocreMitchMTB  10 месяцев назад +1

      @@martusho Mine came with the Industry 9 1/1 hubs which have required zero maintenance.
      Sometimes the Crankbrothers wheelset comes with a “crankbrothers” synthesis hub which I believe is actually made by Project 321 in bend oregon. But I’ve never tried those hubs

    Can you slam the 200mm dropper all the way down? I see it still 2 inches above the seat clamp.

    • @MediocreMitchMTB
      @MediocreMitchMTB  Год назад +1

      Yes you can! I’ve left it a touch above the seat clamp to get some more seat height when climbing. But it can slam all the way down

    @mediocremitchmtb how do you compare this bike to the commencal?

    • @MediocreMitchMTB
      @MediocreMitchMTB  Год назад

      This bike is a bit more “well-rounded” because it’s not as long and slack as the Commencal. This bike climbs better and is a bit more nimble and playful. However, I felt more confident going fast downhill through technical sections on the Commencal

      @@MediocreMitchMTBwith a few months riding it how would you describe the size L at 5ft10? I am 6ft and would replace my 180mm Spindrift for 90% hard bikepark riding, 10% hometrails and I am unsure if I go with an L also or XL suits me better.
