Put a couple more angle brackets out by the end of the handle so the handle will come down between them to prevent any side to side action. Hope that makes sense.
Thats a great idea, it would be cheaper than buying a chopper! I've priced em at $30 or more. My only suggestion would be using hardwood for the handle also drilling out the razor blade set screws and putting bolts bcs over time those tap screw threads will wear out and the blade will be loose! I've been trying to figure out a way to make my own and those L brackets seem to do the job as far as a solid pivot point! Nice job especially withe spring, safety strap and the gutter groove!
Kevin Brister great suggestion! I’m thinking of changing the type of blade to the old box cutter type too. The ones with the thick band at the top, sans bevel. I’ll likely do that when I change the handle, per your suggestion! Thanks!!
Im in the process of designing and building a 1:25 scale model house. Tools are too exspensive to buy so I look for diy videos and come up with my own ideas. The 1:25 scale works well with all my model cars!lol
I'm sorry but I have to say you are bad at video editing and carpentry.
You forgot to mention that I’m bad at mini painting, bad at terrain building, and bad at crafting.
Post some of your carpentry and video editing skills.
Woodglut is full of amazing tips. It helped me a lot.
Very cool except now I have one more jig to put in my list lol thanks for your time and effort it’s appreciated!!
Good job! I learned quite a bit for making my own cutter.

David Cox makes perfect sense. Thanks for the tip. 🤘
A bit of a commentary would not have gone amiss, just to make it slightly more interesting!
I like the ASMR aspect.
kitten6460 that’s the best kind of aspect.
like watching paint dry

I am actually trying a way to make a swivel for miter cuts too!

would be nice to be able to see you actually cut the wood instead of just seeing your arm. sorry. think i will just buy one.
Hopefully this isn't your day job.
You're not really good at this...carpentry is not your thing at all. and wood on wood won't last very long...
