- This is the seventh of many tests involving the KOMA Elektronik Field Kit, a device that allows for creative experiments that are reminiscent of Musique concrète. This experiment focuses on a submergible contact mic (Crank Sturgeon, Etsy); a solenoid beat with marbles, springs, and a guitar string; the 0-Coast with a water sensor (minimal use); a toy motor run through a contact mic. A number of effects are also used. In retrospect, I wish I could have miked the solenoid a bit differently. Well, that's why it's called experimentation! The video is shot with the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera.
Took a bit but it grew on me.
Outstanding presentation mate, the 22 minutes flew by like a pleasant, yet unsettling dream. Thank you for sharing this!
outstanding, beautiful textures
Great stuff. I wish I could find numero 2-6 as I scrolled through rafts of your videos. How about a playlist for the Koma Field Kit? Cheers. Lee
You are one gutsy dude to be opening that soda over all those pricey electronics! :) I just discovered your stuff when trying to figure out if I could get in the same weird drone/wacked out space as a Lyra-8, but for like 1/2 the price with a field Kit FX and various sound sources... I think I just may be able to do that. :) Thanks for posting!
I have a LYRA-8 as well, another good option is the Stereofield Landscape. You are right, no more opening of sodas!
Wow....funny & interesting - thx a lot 🎶
Sehr eindrücklich und spannend !
i liked the slow mesmorphic progression...and some of the visuals, espesh around 17min, were really apt.
Great! Reminds somewhat of Aube, Staalplaat artists, etc.
Brilliant!
Great industrial sounds \0/
thanks!
powerful!
Wonderful
thanks!
Great use of this awesome bit of kit. I received mine yesterday and also have the Field Kit FX on order too. Keep the videos coming! One question, how do you use the electro-acoustic pickup? I cant seem to get anything out of it and cant find much online about how to use it?
It should respond to devices with motors and the like. Works great with a small fan that I purchased and wired to be powered by the DC driver.
Ohhh yeaaa
Hi, many thanks for these videos! i have a question: can i plug in the Koma field directly to the input of my audio interface?
Thanks, yes, you could take the 1/8 out (mono) to your interface. The gain can be adjusted by each of the channels on the Field Kit.
Neubauten in a box :))
