    Awesome stuff as always. Just wondering why you don’t use any different bloods on your traps, surely that would be a great attractor 🐕 🦘 🐨

    • @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry
      @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry  9 дней назад +1

      Blood works well in the right place at the right time, however, every other critter is attracted to it as well which means more unintentional catches

      @@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry Mate, the Tom Cole book The Last Paradise' being the sequel to 'Hell West and Crooked' was published early1990s in the Angus and Robertson 'Imprint Lives' genre of books about Aussie legends. They are part of the Harper Collins publishing group. Cole mentions in the preface that he had a typist and then to Editors for help in punctuation and formatting etc. That is you don't need to finish everything before getting them involved. Hope this info helps and gives you confidence that there is a publisher who is interested in early Australian bush culture and stories. Cya next trapping Tuesday!

    Minnesota Rancher. That spear grass looks like wicked stuff. Our wild oats will twist like that, but its not that sharp. You can keep all that stuff down there. Great video. Keep it up!

      Sounds crazy but I travel with new socks, clean out my pockets, undo laces on my boots and scrub them out, all these things and more to try and stop any chance of weed spread.

    Hey mate. Great videos👍.... do u catch many red fox while trapping for dogs?

    • @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry
      @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry  9 дней назад

      Sometimes but in the north, there are less fox, especially where wedge tail eagles are the thickest, they nail the pups pretty hard.

    Black oats will do the same as the spear grass. The oat seed has 2 legs out the end and when you wet them they will propel the seed over in a rolling motion. Nature sure is amazing.

    • @mattydare
      @mattydare 8 дней назад

      I think most of the 'oat' family do the same. Just amazing how they drill themselves into the ground (or a body)

    Howdy Clark🤠
    From the looks of the white tip dog on the Reconix, I'm betting this caught dog is a different one... the white tip doesn't appear large enough on the caught dog..
    GOOD CATCH!!
    As always, I'd take Brandon and/or Mossie in a heartbeat!!
    Wish you were closer to Central Oregon!!
    Looking forward to next Tuesday!!

    Do you agree?

    • @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry

      When Ct Cook sailed our shores for the first time, he noticed that colouration of dog here then. I think it goes way back to the crossbred lines of hunting dogs that would have been brought in by the last wave of aboriginals who arrived here about 3-4,000 yrs ago.
