Hello Dan,
There is one small mistake. You changed a value of "Angle" mate for Compressed Position Representation instead of "Stroke".
It has not made a problem cause you created "Compressed" Position Representation when value of the "Stroke" was 0, but we have to be careful. Angle of the rod will not extend or compress the cylinder :).
Thank you very much for great tutorials cause now I have idea how to easily change states of my assemblies.

I came here to say the same thing. Even though it "looked" succesful. It definitely isnt the model behavior that he'd want.
