- come hang while I get ready for a three day stretch as an OB nurse :) I made banana bread, did a 10min workout, went for a walk, packed up my bags, made lunch, and talked about how to interview for an OB position. PLUS- It's summer solstice!!! it was light out the entire day/night of June 21st so I caught some clips to show you guys. thanks for being here!

Hi, New CNA here. I got my job and they paid for my CNA class (This was all on May 24th) I started school the very next day! I started working full time in a rehabilitation center on June 5th. I absolutely love being a CNA. This is all so new for me and i love it. Im also getting ready to apply for LVN school that would start next year!

thank you for your comment!! that’s so good to hear. I definitely think the light here in the summer affects night shifters, I got into work with more energy than in winter when it’s dark early. Winter time is hard tho- because the only hours of light are between maybe 11am-3pm and we’re sleeping during that between shifts. 😳

I’m been an ICU for a little over 1 year. It’s a smaller community hospital so it’s a mixed ICU. I take care of vent, multiple drips, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, sepsis, STEMI, stroke/TNK/TPA, post surgical, etc

I loved this!! I have always been so keen to go and see Alaska (I am from New Zealand) and seeing the summer solstice was so interesting - especially because we are at the start of winter here and it is now going dark at about 4pm.

I just left a nurse support department. I did what most hospitals call suicide watch.But on the more extreme level. I sat behind a computer screen for 12 hours. Watching pt.s that where suicide, to 13th hour watch, to APS and CPS watch, to fall risk and anything else the nurses needed us to watch for.

@@xomaeve yes, every time we go on hikes or just go on quick walks at the trails we need at least 2-3 other people. If they decide to hike alone it’s essential to have bear spray, a shotgun, or both, plus have dogs just in case 😅.
