I have been making knives since 2016 and I personally had and used the Ken Onion Worksharp system. If you want a convex secondary cutting edge on a blade it works fine. I went to a guided sharpening system and the results are amazingly better. I'm not knocking the Worksharp system. I'm just stating my experience.

A really good video indeed. I have that same sharpener, I love mine. It does a great job for me. I can get my knifes razor-sharp especially using the Ken Onion stropping belt kit at the end ,like a mirror 🪞. I used to use stones, I haven't done that in along time. Thank you for the very advice and technique skills you showed us. And yes I did same tip mess ups too. It's like fine wine gets better in time. Ya you can spend the big bucks and buy a professional type sharpener but this one works just fine for me. Thank you for time . By the way , what do you call a Turkey after Thanksgiving ? I'm kind of confused about this. This attachment essentially makes the base tool useless? Does this make sharpening knives better/easier? Why not just use the base tool and skip the attachment? I was under the impression that the attachment was for sharpening things like axes or lawn mower blades. What am I missing?

The attachment will let you do machetes, mower blades, I mean just about anything with an edge
Basically the attachment will unlock a ton of versatility
