I think this video is very well articulated and informative. I really like videos like these that explain everything and highlight the super cool stuff without wasting too much time w side talk. You did an excellent job :)
I bought the game a few days after full release, didn't know this was a new feature! Funny story: when I first saw one of these things, I went up to it and took dmg. I didn't know the screeching meant a bird had dropped a rock on my head, so I thought the trading post dude had attacked me, so I stole their crops and ran for my life. Avoided those things until I read the wiki and learned what had happened.
I have the long drawbridge at the front of my raft. It's great for walking right on to the land and feels baller. I was also able to play around with placing a wooden chest almost all the way into the bottom of the wardrobe. You have to finagle it a bit, but you can get it to look like part of the furniture. I use it to store all the hats/masks I come across.
@@pureac3337 If you want to try again.. try out the creative mode in menu for experience and getting comfortable with the crafting... I started on easy mode because single player is real difficult... It's a juggling act to keep fed, and collect, and build.
I made a comment and then deleted it when I thought I was about to see it discussed in the video, but it looks like it wasn't actually so I'll put it back here with some tweaks. The recycler has an internal capacity the same way the biofuel refiner does, and I believe it also caps out at 400 units. It takes 300 to make a single cube, and while leaves and plastic are 10 units better items are much more. Clams, at 60, only need 5 to make a cube, and wool is a whopping 150 meaning you need just two.
@@PeppermintPat That's basically been my strategy; up until realizing it was so high-value I didn't bother too much with llamas, but now I'm collecting as many as possible.
I love the endless possibilities of the new plank also the draw bridge it's far more realistic than having a wooden door if you building a ship thank you again for this new infos
Best farmable resource for recycler appears to be llama wool at 2 wool for one trash cube. (Of course you throw everything you don't need in too, but I'm still collecting planks and plastic)
At only 2 wool for 1 trash cube, that seems like the correct long term answer. There is finally a reason to have a couple llamas beyond armor and the backpacks. The idea of piles of tier three goods, like titanium seems pretty appealing. I am guessing feathers and clam shells in the early game, and wool later on.
Compass not useful? Hmm, well my friends and I got lost a lot on the big islands, especially Temperance. Every time we got lost someone would inevitably say: "we really should have gotten compasses."
Subscribing cause you have the best Raft videos. Keep them coming :) There isn't a single build order guide for Raft. You can do one. Can break it into chapters within a single video, like early game, mid game, and end game.
It's a lil late but being thoroughly engulfed in chapter 3, the compass does point "north" however I'm my experience it also points in the direction of the wind, making it a useful tool for this who still have sails but don't want the flag
I found the compass useful on some of the larger islands and places to visit. If you know you parked south of the island/place, then when it’s time to head back, just head south. I get turned around easily.
Loved the video @Alidove! Can't wait for the next video girl! I was wondering about the Different Fishing Baits because I was watching @ProfNCognito's Two Latest videos on Raft when he Mentioned it. The Fridge would also be Cool for a Galley/Mess Hall within your Ship if you were to build one. The Drawbridges would be Interesting to see if you had Someone manning a Supply Ship and were to try a "Replenishment at Sea" Operation. I would actually like to see a Sailor Uniform and/or even a Captain/Officer's Cap in addition to the Sailor hat as well.
I watch your guide after finding out the shrimp & whatnot exists. But I couldn't get any glow shrimps & tier 1 fishes when I'm fishing at the island & on stopped boat that's dock near the island.. so does the shrimp & other tier 1 fishies have higher tendency appearing when fishing in moving boats or when not near any islands or it's just their percentage of getting it is rare? ☹️☹️ P/S: I love your guides, it's been a lotta helpful so far 🤍
The scarecrow, canteen, and recipes are really the only things useful from the shop. Everything else is aesthetic. The fridge is literally only good for a cool looking thing, it takes up the same space as 4 chests stacked while only having the storage space of 1.5 chests, it's like how useless the locker is. Resources are so abundant that there really isn't a point in buying them even, just makes it feel cheap.
I was hoping for more detailed information about recycler capacity and what is best combination of items to use in it for cubes. I am now using wool as I don't need it but I was curious about max capacity. The wiki says it's 400 but I have placed 4 wool (150 capacity each) in recycler so I don't know if the wiki is right
My bad, I slightly misunderstood your request, so I'll explain it here: The recycler does have a capacity of 400 "units". A trash cube is made when it reaches 300 units. Cheap materials like plastic, planks, etc. give 10 units, but the more expensive the material, the more units it provides. Hence leather being about ~75 units per. Hope that helps!
@@Alidove_ That's seems weird for me I must admit. Today I was testing this capacity thing in Recycler and I can put inside 8 pieces of wool. So according to wiki 1 wool = 150 units. Having 8 pieces of wool inside 1 Recycler is 8 * 150 = 1200 units. But it's true that 300 = 1 cube, because after placing 2 pieces of wool the Recycler starts to process it for cubes. It is weird tho that I can still put 8 pieces of wool. If the Recycler is truly 400 capacity then it shoud be like 2 pieces of woll (150 + 150) and then for example 10 pieces of plastic (as 1 plastic = 10 units). What I am missing here? :D Maybe it's a bug or something?

where the new npcs that can be played as characters can be found

I was really hoping the diving mask in tier 3 could help you breathe longer under water. But it's just a hat, darn 😕
The compass could be useful for finding your raft again on large Story islands
or just stand still till u get the unstuck when you press esc
I like it for multiplayer, "Where are you" "North side of the island"
Yeah like temperance, I always have to circle the whole place when I’m done
We bought them for Balboa island as we kept getting lost on the island
You can also check for the seagulls circling high over the raft... Binoculars are handy for this.
