- Everton Football Club has revealed the final designs of its new 52,000-seater stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock on Liverpool’s waterfront, with a detailed planning application submitted to Liverpool City Council on 23 December 2019.
The plans for the stadium, which will sit within Peel Land & Property’s Liverpool Waters site, would have a transformational impact on North Liverpool, kick-starting the regeneration of the northern docklands, contributing a £1bn boost to the city region’s economy, creating up to 15,000 jobs and attracting 1.4m visitors to the city each year.
At the heart of the proposal is a stunning brick, steel and glass stadium which takes its inspiration from the historic maritime and warehouse buildings nearby. The stadium structure combines the historic and the modern, with the brick base incorporating a subtle nod to Goodison Park’s famous Archibald Leitch lattice work, while the dynamic roof structure made from steel and glass gives the stadium a modern finish.
Following analysis of the feedback received through the Club’s record-breaking public consultation, and a range of detailed technical assessments, the stadium designs have evolved. The multi-storey car park has been relocated from its previous waterfront location and integrated within the stadium to create one impressive standalone structure, while additional environmental measures, including wind baffles, have been incorporated in the final proposals.
The plans also include extensive public spaces for use on both matchdays and non-matchdays featuring a Fan Plaza to the east of the stadium which will provide a focus for pre and post-match entertainment and activity.

After so many false starts, it looks like this project will go ahead. It is long overdue! Goodison passed it's sell by date 20 years ago. I hope to see a game there in a few years!

As a Wolves Fan who does a Wolves RUclips channel, this looks an amazing stadium 🏟 and one as an away fan I’d be really excited to go to and enjoy. 👏
It’s great the project team have listened to feedback and moved the car park from the waterfront where it was a separate building and integrated it with the stadium building. Much more joined up. 52,000 still too low a capacity but rail seating on two stands will change that - not sure what the max will be. Wonderful project and vision for our club !

Why didn’t Arsenal fill the big gap between the goal and the stands with seats? Highbury was such a fortress because it’s compact both on and off the pitch
Jen Hernandez unfortunately they didn’t consult the fans about the stadium design. Grudging respect for the Yids and the way their ground is close to pitch and that Levy actually asked the supporters what they wanted which is why they have the Wall behind the goal.
@@derenh1052 I think they were unlucky, Emirates is one of those buildings which they thought looked futuristic back then but now they just look dire like council office buildings. You were unlucky you missed out on the era where architecture is the main focus. Maybe it will get a reskin like the plans for the Santiago Bernabeu plans to make it look more modern.

Finally, Everton accomplishes something for Liverpool. Jesting aside as an LFC supporter, this looks quite nice and I’m actually excited to see Everton play here. If Anfield wasn’t so historic, I would be ecstatic if LFC built this.

A superb and fitting follow-on from the historic Goodison which moves us into the modern age. It looks brilliant and is a credit to all those involved in the design and development. The Flythrough shows just what can be achieved in what was a decaying area of past heritage which the whole City can be proud of. I wish it every sucess as it deserves it.
