  • Iconic, to say the least... this is a stunning example of an early Fender Telecaster and we're proud to have it in our showcase! This one stands out in a lot of ways, especially its sound as you'll hear when we hand it off to our friend Alex Ashley for a demo!

    At first I was so confused by Alex being left handed....then I was amazed that he played the guitar with the strings setup for a right hander. Beautiful tones from that '53 Tele.

      Same. I really wish he wasn’t such a monster player so I could tell him that he’s holding it wrong. But alas, it seems that I’m the one holding it wrong…

    53 had Phillips head screws …the body is a nice light butterscotch/blonde … …that’s a lovely guitar …Roy Buchanan had a 53 blackguard n”Nancy”…with a broken lead pickup gave it that transistor squel anomaly…for pinch harmonics..best tele sound ever my take and player

    If you get “tons” of these, why do they cost so freaking much?

    • @ryanfulldark2775
      @ryanfulldark2775 5 месяцев назад +6

      By “tons” they mean in comparison with alot of other shops. There aren’t many out there overall, hence why they cost so much. They’re history, they sound glorious and they’re special.

      @@ryanfulldark2775 I’m an old fart at 73 and been playing for 61 years. Back in the day we bought used guitars because we couldn’t afford new ones. Now it’s the other way around due to savvy marketing. The so called “rare vintage guitar” market also is helped by the “a sucker is born every minute” theory. Some old ones may sound good but the prices are truly ridiculous.

    The best way to play guitar is with it upside down. Brings out the tone

    _ONLY $90,000… WHAT A STEAL!_
    *10/10 videography, the production level of these shots makes it seem almost erotic, like I’m watching the most tasteful soft core guitar shoot Ive never seen. “The shadows caress the Teles hips as dusk Casts across the supple maple body, inviting you ever inward down its thin neck, inward, UNTIL TO FEEL THE TONE!” - the erotic novelization of this video.*
    Twiddly twiddly twi-twiddle twang twong!

      @@alexashleymusic Rumor has it that guitars at their begging were made as for right hand people so you're practically right...right?:)
