I often unhaul books to senior centers and cancer treatment facilities. When people are going through infusions they are often hours long. When my mom went we noticed a book shelf there with only a few books. I donated between 15 and twenty books.

This is why I love the library! If you ever decide you want to read any of these again you can just borrow it and not feel guilty you un-hauled! Keep those shelves full of ones you absolutely love! 💕
I'm kind of disheartened by the idea that a low number of reviews on goodreads means a book is a waste of time.... most books don't break out to be BOM picks and are still potentially fabulous. I've definitely loved books that only have
I don’t mean low ratings like a lot of people haven’t read them, I mean low ratings like the books average overall rating is very low!! Usually if a book has lower than a 3.5 average rating it’s very discouraging and doesn’t make me want to read it! (unless it’s horror haha)
Oh how I wished I lived near you and could take those thrillers off your hands! 😊 Just turned 62 last week and as a senior citizen have very limited resources for getting good (newer) books for a discounted price. The Shepherd's Center (senior citizen) near me has a big yearly book sale and they take donations year round. I just donated over 100 dvds and around 50 books. Love to watch your videos and have enjoyed several of your thriller recommendations. Love your energy!

I love your unhaul videos! I work at a library so whenever I want to unhaul a book I'll give it to a coworker or just put it in our book sale section.
I unhauled 70+ books last week. I know my taste has changed so I know that someone else will enjoy the books I donate! I also donate new books to my library!

I try not to let Goodreads judge my books, but I trust yours lol so I un hauled quite a bit myself. Now I need to shop for more books lol ❤😂
I so admire you for letting go. I can't do it! I'm in the process of moving and have packed 40 boxes so far. Not to worry though, my mover told me that they recently moved a retired librarian who had 400 boxes!!!!
My problem is that I have so many ARC's. I try to keep LFL's stocked, but there are just so many in my little area. Arrrggghhhh!

There’s a local book drop box in my area that connects people( mostly teens, they get lots of YA books in the drop box)with the books, completely free. They have a QR code on the box to scan when the box is full and it’s emptied in 24 hours. I don’t mind donating them because I was the teen who used the free book programs. No one could keep me in books! Not even my local library, but Libby has helped that
I always sell my books on Pango, and I use the money to buy new books that I’d probably be more interested in 💕

Gabby, you are very, very brave for unhauling books you haven't read. I say that as a bookwyrm (aka book dragon), who has a complete and mental block towards unhauling what I haven't read 😂. I can't seem to do it. I tried. I got to one book and had to stop because I couldn't do it. BUT, I got my serotonin fix from watching you unhaul books instead! So, I'm good! I can keep all of mine, right? Lol
Also, Infinite Country was a book I just picked up from a used bookstore 2 DAYS AGO LOL. I will have to let you know if it was good or not.

I LOVE watching unhauls. Idk why they are so satisfying but they are. It'd be even more satisfying to watch you take the books off your shelves? I sell them on Pango, take them to Half Price Books or free little libraries (for arcs). I used to donate to my local libraries exclusively but after the pandemic, my local libraries no longer take donations 😢

I have to shout out The Last Story of Mina Lee. I know these kind of books are hard to pick up, I have her newest one and struggle. But I picked up Mina Lee and loved it. And I know you’ve really gotten into BTS and k-dramas and I really appreciated it. It would make such a good k-drama.
My family and friends have first dibs on the books I’m decluttering. Then I take the rest to the library and, if there are any they won’t take, then I will take them to goodwill 👍
