I'm a viejita and have lived in southwestern Mexico since '98. This video tells a lot about Mexico. Stats: population of Mexico City runs around 22 million. The rate of Mexican homicides solved: 1%. October 2022.
I am amazed how you find such disturbing cases. This lady had a very bad upbringing its unfortunate that she turned into a psychopath And her murder spree went for so long. I am not excusing what she did but boy how much can a person like her take. Extremely disturbing case. Your research and presentation is impeccable.
Thank you, Casefile. Perfect!! Very few ex-pats, tourists or snowbirds know this story, or anything about what a mess the judicial system is. Why should they?
Going after and killing innocent grandmothers because your own mother (who wasn't an elderly at the time) sold you for couple beers, is the dumbest excuse for murder I've ever heard
Ok, just to clarify. Initially Juana Barraza was just a thief; same MO, mascarading as a nurse doing a home visit and then stealing what she could. She describes a specific incident in which one of the old ladies started all nonchalantly insulting her, calling her names and being generally condescending towards her, Juana lost control and killed her, she was the first victim. It appears that what set her off was a class conflict and the idea that those women viewed her as an inferior. Still it's no escuse for her crimes.
Horrible, horrible life, for sure, explains her behavior. It’s an explanation, not an excuse, because regardless of her sad life, she’s no less dangerous. She should never see the light of day.
Sorry Mr File, but it was changed to "La" Mata Viejitas when it was found the killer was female. Love your uploads, usually listen in Google podcasts at work, but I had time to listen on YT today! ✌️🤗🖤
Dunno what fricking number, and comments like ”first”, ”second” and so on seems so childish to me, so just lots and lots of hugs and support from Finland mate!🤗 And thanks for all the time and effort you put into these!🫶
Interesting that they choose to throw the book at a woman, giving her the harshest punishment. Surely not even if she was the murderer of all those elderly women would she be the worst person in Mexico.
Nah bro, here in Mexico it's not like in the US. 99% of the time when stuff like that happens it's just because of sheer incompetence or lack of caring.
Were they supposed to not give healthcare to elderly women because on or two people used the program as a cover to commit crimes? I get the police incompetence but expanding healthcare to vulnerable people is obviously a good thing.
Wow what a comment. You may be all that sweety not the old people. Those old people are the reason of all it is today. You would eat crumbs in a barn if those old people weren't before you to kaid everything before ungrateful young individuals that think they deserve everything.
"Menstruation and the full moon led her to kill". I literally LOLed at that 😂

Muy buena video. Could you do the female Juarez Mexico killings?
What a weak and pathetic individual, to go after the most vulnerable. Mato abuelitas.

How'd the government list of people on welfare come to be in someone's possession unless the government is passing them out? 🤔

Most old people are not kind/nice, they are mean or stupid or cantankerous or selfish.
