What stands out to me is the fact that she was dismembered in this very specific way. Whoever killed her didn't make much effort to hide the top half of her body, but all these years later the bottom half has not been found. Perhaps she was pregnant and the perp didn't want to be identified through dna analysis of the baby which would have shown who the father was. This ties in with her letter to a friend saying something terrible had happened. Maybe she was raped, maybe she was shocked to discover she was pregnant. This girl and her family deserve justice.
I’m from the south shore of Massachusetts, about 40 miles south of Boston. I remember when this happened. I was 16. It was all over the news. I’d of never thought back then that 27 years later, this poor girl would still be without justice.
You're narrations are spectacular CF! Thank you for your presentation of this case....which is particularly disturbing and horrifying....especially bcs it remains unsolved. I would start with the couple that has had several opers in their employ... . Why so many? What was their final disposition after leaving? The convenient photography studio for Karina to stay in sounds like it was all planned...... Keep up the good work, CF!
Really bummed at the end to hear that this didnt get solved. Also really sad how this girl had so many friends but not when she was blacked out drunk, the only time she needed friends
@@texastea5686 I know right? Back when I still went out partying we always had at least two dedicated drivers in the group which stayed sober and were looking out for those of us who went a bit overboard.

Karina made herself a target unfortunately, she didnt execute proper accountability for herself, this should be a lesson to others, be responsible for yourself no ine else can do it for you. Listen and learn folks, it could happen to you if you behave as Karina did
I wonder if she could have fallen pregnant? That’s could explain why the killer took her lower half, and letter she wrote stating that something terrible had happened
@@Firebrand1967 umm no, and isn't like o I heard the story somewhere else. The script sounds the same too. Like if I heard something on another channel the mode how it is written shouldn't be different. Like yes is the same case and the facts are obviously the same, but if it's another person doing the research and the script for another channel shouldn't it sound different. How about suggesting young women don’t get falling down drunk and go out wandering around? It bothers me to hear so many tragedies resulting from young people being in a drunken state. Getting drunk does not suggest good sense. It’s just so sad!
That is victim blaming. Full stop. Not having good sense also applies to suggesting a young woman is responsible for her own murder because she got drunk.
Go to a bar, get s***faced, at night. How does that end well? I am a 'victim blamer'. You are responsible for your own circumstances and behavior. Women get treated like and generally act like honorary children. Drink but do not get drunk, do not go off alone, carry pepper spray.
on behalf of the male community, I apologise to any woman who has read this dude's comment. Pathetic. Degrading a woman's right to go out for drinks and have fun, and implying they are irresponsible, yet not mentioning the fact if MEN are responsible for their own circumstances and behaviour, they wouldnt attack and murder random strangers. I am assuming this Menstrel guy has a poor history with relationships with women (and understandbly so), because he also doesn't realise that guys also get murdered too, after a night out for drinks.
....I don't think he said if you go out at night yku deserve to be cut into pieces...I think what he said was if you go out at night and engage in any activity known to impair your judgment you are knowingly risking that you may encounter evil in an impaired state and thus place yourself in a better position to become a victim. If I don't jump out of a plane I guarantee you I will never die from my parachute not opening. And if I don't drink to the point of impairment and stay with friends when I'm out the chances of me being cut into pieces significantly decrease.

I believe most Nanny's can only get a visa for one year. The oldest son was six years old, hence six nannies.

Wow, that last part made me think Karina may have been pregnant hence, her murder and being sawn in half to potentially remove her womb…
