Did Arsenal deserve to win this game? 🤔
Of course they did. Arsenal went toe to toe with City last season home and away, and got four points. Added Califiori and with Timber back are now able to beat them, also both teams were missing their most creative players which cancelled out that issue. For me, we're getting into conspiracies like the more titles Man City win, the more of a Premier League legacy it becomes. Having teams dominate a league looks for good the history books, re: Barca and Madrid in Spain, and Man United around the Fergie years. All got so many decisions to help them maintain their dominance. There are a few reasons why Trossard should not have got a second yellow and it spoiled the game, which Oliver was very keen not to do the year before by not sending off Kovacic. Weird how both decisions helped City. Rodri goes down clutching his face when he was not even touched there by Havertz. And Haaland throwing the ball against Gabriel's head gets nothing? Not even a retrospective punishment? Ridiculous.
The Premier League, VAR and the referees have spoilt the game. VAR was supposed to spot mistakes and make the game less error free, so why did West Ham not get a penalty against Chelsea for Summerville being pulled back in the penalty area? It was clear from the video we saw. But, no. There have been more contentious VAR decisions so far this year, than last. VAR was supposed to evolve and get better. It did in other countries, but not the Premier League.
Now, I'm rambling, so will stop.
Referees are ruining the game. More controversy from referees' decision that beautiful, entertaining football the teams are capable of delivering. English VAR has been compromised by referees and VAR officials. Wrong calls every week. On the contrary VAT improved football everywhere else.
Like Arteta opined, there would be more than a hundred red cards issued this season because of lack of commonsense in the application of the obtuse kicking the ball away rule without consistency.
Club Managers will become more vocal and challenge every decision inconsistent and incompetent decision referees make and we are already seeing this. It goes downhill from there except the EPL does something quickly.
Sad. Very sad.
Not at all
Man City didn't seem to miss Rodri, but they would have missed Michael Oliver more if he had to come off for some reason...
The refereeing in the Premier League really needs improving, beyond a joke now
@@StatmanDaveget a job kid
@@StatmanDaveit’s glorified match fixing assisted by VAR and backed by PGMOL.
The player kicked the ball away after the whistle had gone. The rules brought in this season states this is a yellow card. If a player stands less then ten yards an stays there stopping a free kick they get booked. Its the same sorta rules. The only person at fault is the player who kicked the ball away.
@@orinorio1😂 city did it. No card.
City owners have paid Oliver. Fact.
It was the movement of one of the 8s - Bernado Silva - that dragged Partey across and Gabriel out to create the space for Savinho to play in Haaland when Calafiori tried to be 2 aggressive and Savinho cut inside past him.
It was a very good piece of attacking play
Yes, I'll admit it and as a gooner I feel no shame. Mikel Arteta is the unholy bastard child of Arséne Wenger and Tony Pulis. And I love it.
A true thing of beauty
Win in any context. That's Mikel's mission.
That’s why he will leave with no prem title. If their season falls apart he will be sacked.
In posession city played 3 1 3 3 with walker and akanji as wide cbs, gvardiol and silva as 8s and gundogan as a 10.
All the other stuff are good.
Kyle Walker was Arsenal's best player
Statman Dave forgot to talk about how good David Raya was
Dave’s masterclass analysis of Arteta’s masterclass.
The team of 115 cases ... !!!
What a great video
Statsman go and dig up Michael oliver officiating stats against Top 6 teams. Its shocking beyond belief how PGMOL has ruined the game we such have enjoyed over the years.
What does it show ??
what no one noticed is that... there was no rash challenge at the top of the box
no free kicks
they never needed to it was only Dias and Walker shooting from range. it was made rather easy for them to sit in a block and chug up the passing lanes into the box and wait for the shot from range from a centre back with 8 6-foot plus blokes in front of it.
Agree with your waffle comment on Walker and Pep. He's practically stopped in a decent position. If was paying any attention to the ball, he wouldnt have been caught on his heels. He cost himself another yard by waving his arms around complaining. Entirely his own fault.
free kick shouldn't have been taken from that spot which is the main error, it was 10 yrds furhter back and was taken without letting walker get back, and then no way he's back in position with the wide player where he was.
@@matthewdobson100he just showed he was in position, the ref agreed on the freekick spot😂😂 keep waffling like ur whole rattled squad did after the game
the second booking should have been for the charge in the back, it was a clear yellow and what I thought he'd got it for whilst watching the game. didn't need any reference to kicking the ball away (which was also absolutely deliberate and he knew what he was doing).
not yellow since haaland on saliba was worse and didnt get a yellow. the yellow was for kikcing the ball as b4 the whistle and not the foul.
Mourinho football for Arsenal
utd stopped city last season and the media didn't blow their load like they have with arsenal
The FA cup final? United got praise for that lol it literally saved ETH job.
@@jonsnow2791 the media never praised the performance. Not like how they are creaming their pants over a league game.
@@jonsnow2791yeah sure(!). Being asked if you’re going to have a job the following morning or if you’re going to be sacked, is considered being praised(!). It was absolutely shambolic and disgustingly sour grapes from the typically classless British media when they didn’t get their prepared headlines to post and actually had to get off their backsides and make some thinly vailed attempt at journalism because United comprehensively disarmed and defeated City.
@@caniz80exactly. United never got any credit for beating City. Neither did they get any credit for knocking 7 past Barnsley. It’s been blind hatred spewed from the bitter media because they didn’t get to post their shite premature headlines about United.
@@caniz80 Because it was a great game. It was prime Barclays like old school. I am seeing so many rival fans who were absolutely thrilled and enjoyed it.

Sofascore gives Man City an xG of 2.16. how could their goals have been "lucky"?
From 33 shots, very much quantity over quality. Man City's 1st goal was well worked, their 2nd goal was fortunate because the initial shot took Raya out and the deflection fell kindly for Stones
@@StatmanDaveshut up. Learn football whitie
@@StatmanDaveboth fartenal goals were lucky and should have been disallowed. Learn football and then we talk
@@left4deadR a worldie and a well-worked setpiece. Arsenal were not lucky at all
@@drone124 worldie, haha helped by referee because he called walker to gossip. Set piece? More like dirty fartenal tactics of tying down goalkeeper so that he can't move haha. That's why your club has 0 trophies for last 4 years
Disappointed with the bias and breakdown here.
truth hurts 😂
Oh please, Arsenal didn't push all the city players back into their box for the first goal in a deliberate pre determined way, it wasn't tactics, simply a case of man city all overunning their recovery runs and leaving the player unmarked on the edge. there was no cross on for martinelli and he lays it off to the unmarked player on the edge. if any one of about three city players just checked their run and covered Califiori then he doesn't get the chance.
We shouldve had them😂😂😂
I just read a tweet saying
Havertz and Timbers did not complete a single pass in 89 minutes of play. That's kinda crazy lol
I wonder what will happen if other teams start blocking the GK during corner kicks just like aresnal does🤔🤔
Playing ring-a-roses "we all fall down" constantly throughout the game and having 20% of the ball while continually wasting time was obviously the tactic that almost worked.
Look at this idiot not realising pep is king of so called dark arts 😂
Talk is Rodri will be out for a while, but I bet he's back before Odegaard...
Arsenal did the same thing against Spurs they played even deeper and defended deep.
This is not a tactic......getting a red card for kicking the ball, one yellow card for delaying tactics, one yellow card for asking goalkeeper to collapse......even the first goal they scored was courtesy of the REF.......you call these tactics or Cowardly acts?? Football is a Man's game not meant for Drama Queens.
The biggest drama queens are city! Every time a foul is made against a city player. The whole team surrounds the referees every single time! Yet they are never booked for it. It's lucky you have the likes of Oliver and other refs on the payroll.
