Adding small balloons to your monorail platform will remove friction/ weight and increase speed
Upside down wheels like a real monorail not blocks nor fences
The only time ( in survival) I have had mine break is if I built the track way to long, do not build out past 300. Anytime I have it always breaks may not be right away but it does keep tracks 300 or less, i like the elevator idea tho I have been tinkering with a good elevator build for 2 days now. But now i see you tied yours to your monorail this gives me new ideas. I have been addicted to this for the last week idk why, I am hoping they give more to this as an Avid Ark: SE player I love the potential for this.
On a side note I am in Sandbox now testing a sort of highway system to make like a rocket car wish me luck.
I actually had this same problem built till I couldn’t anymore started building down. Logged off come back and it was totally glitched out and just parts of it completely disappeared I lowered the length and testing that
When you say 300, can you please clarify what metric you’re referencing?

I loved being immersed in ARK. PVP kicked my ass. PVE was going great until I let too much time go by between log-ins and lost everything. After thinking about how many hours of game play I spent and ended up with nothing I never played it again. Lego Fortnite seems a bit more forgiving so far...but if something happens and I lose everything I'll just stick to the battlefield...
What do you mean by "300".
Love the elevator design, the monorail you could use flooring for a thinner and smoother travel 👍
My monorail just randomly fly off the tracks or glitch and break. I’ve tried multiple different kinds and multiple builds.
the monorail is so glitchy for me, i just gave up with it and now have a cart on wooden flooring with fences at the side to prevent it falling off

I'm currently doing that as well. I've lost 9 monorail cars, twice it's just been on the ground when I've logged in
@@LucyJanePlaysthat’s happened with my airships I’ll just be missing a whole side piece/thruster when I log in
ive had that happen , stuff like the elevator and airships can fix by relogging but idk about the monorail@@LucyJanePlays
@@OhDough I did a few experiments and let's just say don't try to make a plane monorail hybrid .... #toomuchyaw
Love it! That took some serious commitment 😅I’m still trying to figure out the best monorail, and attempting to turn but it just doesn’t seem possible/easier to build a second monorail haha
a turning monorail is really tough to make. I have a ski lift vid which is basically what it would look like
I'm making a tutorial on options on turns. Easiest I created so far is more like a transfer station to another direction
Love your elevator idea. I'm editing videos of things I've done but lag in game was crazy.
Also if you come back thrusters have auto shutoff, tires sometimes aren't enough if too high. I tried getting around it by adding a second floor to "top elevator" and really helped when I came back and they had shut off falling it cut force due to gravity and kept bricks from braking.

my villages dont line up so i had to make my rail go down and left, and the foundation just stopped and i couldn’t build after 75% of the way there. now i have to build from the frost back the rest of the way. def gonna need the elevator and possibly a second grass village…the pain..😢
Maybe if you'd connect the two dynamic foundations with some planks they'd be more stable. Now if you'd be able to put wheels on the bottom of your upper dynamic foundations, it'd actually roll over the rail instead of sliding. I'm not sure if this is possible though... All that being said, you did an amazing job and I will use your idea of the elevators for sure!
Not sure it'll work but maybe you can add some small balloons to the dynamic platforms reduce drag?

You can't build a rail longer than 1000 meters game just doesn't let you place anymore foundations

We used wood thin floor 4 fou our railings and haven't had any issues with it breaking, I also put palatial corners on both sides to help keep it in line, we haven't had it break except sometimes when we load the game it's completely gone
There IS difference in building in survival and sandbox mode, dont get me started on that topic… I want my resources and about 20 hours of my life back
There isn't in terms of durability of structures.

Did you do the same thing to the bottom underneath the platform as you did in the bottom of the topper? Did you just break that little hangman form when you were done?
I put the tires on the bottom of the elevator shaft itself. I'd be careful building this though, if you explore to far from your base it just flat out yeets anything with balloons into strange places.

Spent a bit of time farming all the materials for the monorail. Built just one cart and had to hop off and when i relogged in the cart was obliterated....
My experience is that if you build in a str8 line for too long you cant place any more, but will take your resources. Aka the monorail cant be too long
Just don’t make more than 1200m. And it’s ok
I cant get the dynamic foundation to stay on the bottom, it just falls off when I place it

Crossbioms but be careful. It took me 2 hours to built and 1 second to forget to brake and all the rail fall 🥲
All the monorails I’ve made keep falling through the rail between sessions
Man I builded that same elevator 2 times both times whenever I rejoined it would break the dynamic foundation the below one I made it perfectly upto point still it not work.
Ok it's working now there was a glitch at the top I had to change the surface and tire position and it's working now
everything seems to break eventually mate built an elevator in our world we left came back in and a beam just randomly dropped on itself
anything with balloons that's more complex than the basic flying stuff will break especially if you go to far away from where it's built. my stuff was fine until I went exploring really far, came back and stuff was broken in ways I couldn't even understand.

The same thing happens to me! It is so annoying
I tried building it. However, the top portion doesn't stay connected after I add the ballons. It just detaches from the foundation posts and stay on top.
if the dynamic foundation has anything attached the sides that's attached to the ground it alters it's physics. so don't do that

My monorail line breaks if the monorail goes right into the end with some power, not sure how to prevent that
Try adding tires on both your cart and point of impact they reduce damage worst case you lose the tires

build 2 next to each other. one like what I made, another with more balloons so it floats to the ceiling and thrusters that force it to go down.

@@OhDough Thanks! I built this design in my world, but I think I went overboard on the height. I will have to count when I build the final tower and see how many I used. Have you had an issue with the monorail or elevator cars getting messed up after a server reset?
my elevator aaaalways fucked up when i reset my server, it is beacuse my elevator is so high?
