Ive always been oddly interested in the day to day backstage operation of a tour so this is great! Think of how huge that stage is and all the stuff that has to be put up and torn down daily, has to be hundreds of people and dozens of trucks and buses.
If you’re touring with a band it’s a circus life. If you’re local and work for one or more venues it can be fun but also a drag when certain acts don’t treat the local help right, and the show doesn’t happen without the locals.
I’m a touring drummer. Hired gun. After a while, it’s basically like Groundhog Day every day. But you get into a rhythm. You try and maybe go to a museum on a day off or just get some exercise. Show days are coffee, call home, check emails, eat, wait around, sound check, wait around some more, eat some food again and then the show. After the show you’re wired as hell so you maybe go for a walk before the bus leaves. Climb on the bus and rib the bass player for fucking up earlier. Watch a movie in your bunk and fall asleep. Wake up and do it all over again.
Bigger bands have their own private plane and don’t have to deal with the bus bullshit. Fun life but it can be monotonous.
But this is pretty much a day on tour.

You hit the nail on the head man. We had I think about 150 touring crew. 27 buses and 25 trucks or vice versa, can't remember.

Ya'll absolutely BLEW the others off the stage! We could tell ya'll where having a damn good time. No need for elaborate stage setups, just raw talent on the stage. I was so sorry to hear about your cancer, I'm hoping your in remission, just take good care of yourself out there. Much Love &Respect!
I test drove a Triumph pretty similar to that. Though I settled on my little small town commuter, a 2020 Triumph Bonneville, white, with blue, and hand pinstriped gold.
Thought it had maybe 900 cc's, until I got home and read the manual. I found out it's actually 1200cc.
I absolutely love it!
Had an uncle that worked on Triumph cars (spitfire, Tr-6 etc) as well as MG's, Hudson, etc.
Was sitting at one of three lights in my small town and this gloss black, on flat black bike, with a chocolate seat, pulls up next to my truck. I see the word Triumph. Went to a dealer 4 hours away 2 days later.
Was leaning towards an Indian before that moment. Just tired of seeing Harleys, and crotch rockets everywhere.
I'm sure you'll have a blast on that Triumph!

Awesome video Rikki, keep em comin brother, just saw u guys in Philly this past weekend and u guys were by far the best band there! Brett sounded great as did all the instruments and u guys had the crowd into it the entire time. Although I’m a big fan of def leppard and motley cruë, as soon as they came on it’s like the energy came to a screeching halt, poison should definitely be headlining this tour!

WOW RIKKI...I had no Idea you had a youtube channel..I have been a fan since you guys came out in the 80's...Ok I wont be that fan that says the same ol stuff..Just glad to see your doing well and still rockin..I met ya here in Nashville at starwood backstage in the early 2000's. Yes still have the autographs..and when I was leaving I yelled..YO RIKKI CALL ME..and all you guys started laughing..I know ya wont remember that but that was a cool moment for me..Keep it up on the tour stay healthy and take care of Brett I know he sat it out here Thursday in Nashville due to illness. Always amazed me that when bands first start out. They do EVERYTHING TOGETHER. If they become really popular and stand the test of time. They mostly are all apart.
