  • I spent 2 days trying to solve the problem with the screen being smaller, but it wouldn't give in. Believe me, it's harder than one thinks at first. Anyways, I think this will do for now.
    Enjoy!

I was just watching The Green Mile, what a true talent Michael Clarke Duncan was. Sadly, his career wasn't close to being over. He had so much more to give, We all lost such a great man, a kind soul. ❤RIP to a gentle giant.❤

Came here from the Green Mile, too. When I heard he went on Craig's show, I had to see for myself. A truly taleneted individual. The chemistry he and Craig had is infectious. So sad he was taken so soon.

During the filming of Armageddon, my mom and her best friend we’re on set for a day (Bonnie’s husband was the NASA consultant- and played capcom- on it).
They spent hours talking with Michael, and came back raving about the kind young man. He was just about to give up on his dream of acting, and had told his mom he was coming home, when he got the audition, and the part. I’m glad his dream came true, and sad he died so young.

i had only known Michael from the few films i had seen him in and i didnt really have an opinion on him one way or the other. then i started seeing his appearances on Ferguson and i really started to love the guy, as a crazy cat lady man i especially loved when he would gush over his cats. and just as i was really starting feel like i was getting to know this man in some way and hoping to see him get more bigger and better roles he passed. it is such a shame in so many ways because not only did he seem like genuinely really great person, but he seemed like that thing this world needs more of. he is a man that found some level of fame and he saw the world and he grew as a person, unlike so many others of us who grew up a certain way and we never let our bad experiences and bigotries go. he seemed like a man that did not let his mind get forever caught in that little tiny spot of the world where he grew up, in some selfish way only concerned with what he had been through and ignoring all the rest of the vices and virtues of the rest of the world, an entire open word full of all sorts of wonder and people and experiences and wisdom not just his little section of his little town in his little country.
he was that really rare thing of a celebrity that i actually would have liked to meet.

I always thought that it must be much harder for him to act a variety of different characters just because he is so huge but he picked his parts well and showed to the world once again that if you really have the talent you can make it work. One of those actors that I sincerely get sad about their untimely passing from this world onto the next. He is one of my favorite humans. That list is short. Stan Lee. Bowie. Audrey Hepburn. I never watch late shows. I catch them on snippets in RUclips recommendations from time to time - fell into a RUclips hole - as you do. AND I regret none of it. ESPECIALLY this EPIC tome of guest appearances with Craig Ferguson. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday evening whilst working on end of the night chores and setting up for the day to follow. Full Disclosure: I also have NEVER watched an hour of ANY video on RUclips! Thank you for the treasure trove I had no idea existed. I am gonna share this link for those who I know will be as grateful for your work and gift. The end of life - occurring in one so young and suddenly - as was Duncan's death ... I do not know great things - perhaps we are not meant to. I understand energy and that matter and energy are never extinguished. Too magnanimous the fragile and intricate souls are the same in my estimation. All of us become and move through our other forms. There is the belief in returning - cyclical and I align to the loops of us and how we connect. Memory. Dreaming. Creating. Consciousness. And so it is I quote Fox Mulder, "Or are the tragic young born again when the world's not looking? I want to believe so badly; in a truth beyond our own hidden and obscured from all but the most sensitive eyes...
In the endless procession of souls... in what cannot and will not be destroyed. I want to believe we are unaware of God's eternal recompense and sadness. That we cannot see His truth. That that which is born still lives and cannot be buried in the cold earth. But only waits to be born again at God's behest... where in ancient starlight we lay in repose."

Big Ferguson fan here...but funny how Craig mentions his oscar-nomination only at the Scotland show. Such a generous soul big mike was!, if i were anywhere near oscar, i'd want every show to introduce me with that! But he was okay playing a silly gentle giant, and okay coming across as a small time actor yearning for validation everywhere, where as in real life he was the exact opposite! I mean he really did not care much for fame and i'm guessing for money either (especially coz he literally left all his money to his girlfriend apparently-and they do have discussion about money here). He even dresses different in real life. I saw his interview with Larry king - and he was an extremely humble and an intelligent man who later became a vegetarian, also had never tasted alcohol ever in his life! i mean wow?!??! just WOW. RIP Mr. Duncan. Respect from India🙏

Two and a half men made this man seem much smaller than he actually was. For a long time I believed that he was about 5'8/9 and that CGI had made him seem taller and larger in the green mile, two hours ago I seen him on the Craig Ferguson show and realized that the man was indeed as large as portrayed, and also an excellent wit.
