Holy fuck yes! Used to blast UK on my ghetto box @ Sunset Beach. Usually disregarded as nerd, occasionally regarded as connoisseur. All good. And still enjoying life!! And jamming the bass!!
UK total brilliance. Eddie Jobson, what a virtuoso musician. In my opinion one of the best electric violinist in the world, not to mention a monster on the keyboards too. Excellent performance by all here.
Totally with you there George, we all know how brilliant Terry was -and still is! but Jobson was a stellar musician of the highest order during his time with UK. loved the band & have everything they did and i still listen to it regularly today....epic stuff!
I always wonder how differently things would have gone had EJ actually remained a member of Yes (he was _very, very briefly_ a band member, in between the end of recording 90125 and the start of the tour) and been able to contribute his keyboard virtuosity; would have been better than Kaye phoning things in, at least.
i saw them in 79 opened up for tull i was blown away by eddies talent and wentons voice what a concert i saw asia in the 2000s wish i would of saw uk one last time awesome band RIP john
Absolute Epic Brilliance. That intro still has the same impact today as it did then. Bozzio, Jobson, Wetton, the 3 piece heavyweight band to be reckoned with. Timeless
U K opened for Jethro Tull's Stormwatch tour, Long Beach Arena in the late 70s , they were frickin great, glad we had a chance to see them live, great show..😎👍
How I miss John .. it has been m pleasure to meet Eddie.. The second time I did not sniffle on him .. the first time was the Fallen Angel tour in NYC... WUSB.fm NY - WAXX TRAXX TO THE MAXX...
It was very sad to hear that John Wetton had passed. Personally, for me he was a masterful and innovative musician. Alway's loved U.K. but man the Violin player could sure give Jerry Goodman or Jean-Luc-Ponty a run for their money. Awesome band from the past when music was very, very cooool!
Check out the variety of sounds of the violin within the first minute and half: distorted guitar sound, plucked undistorted, bowed standard violin. And then Bozzio craziness behind it too. Yes!
Eddie is a stunning violinist, although it's his second instrument - on keyboards he really excels! Check out AIR CUT by the wonderful Curved Air, recorded when he was only just 17: the track Metamorphosis is a stunner - the whole band is on fire. He very kindly invited me to see him with Zappa at the Hammersmith Odeon in London - by chance I found myself sitting next to my old friend and drummer Mike Paxman, guitarist and songwriter for the beautiful and brilliant Judie Tzuke. Mike has recently recorded and mastered albums by Asia, Man and Uriah Heep. Listen to "Stay with me til Dawn" by Mike and Judie. Check out Eddie's work with Curved Air, UK, Yes, Jethro Tull, Zappa etc etc. One night, after Curved Air had played the Finsbury Park Rainbow, Eddie, Mike Wedgwood (Curved Air, Caravan, Kiki Dee, Nicky James etc) and I recorded "Let it Be." It's still out there somewhere.
I can only imagine how great this band might have been had A & M records allowed Rick Wakeman to join as Bill Burford originally wanted, but then we would've missed out on so much of Rick's great solo music!! The first U. K. Album is still in heavy rotation at my place!
The musicianship of all three is phenomenal. I play violin, so I can say that what Eddie Jobson is playing is pretty difficult. It would take me a year to learn that part, and I probably wouldn't be as fast as he is!
:)...Back again...Glad this still up...It has its foibles but it's still awesome...I saw the original U.K with Bruford, for FREE Penns Landing...I like this U.K better though, not by much but; I love Bozzio's energy...Plus; Carry No Cross or Danger Money are KILLERS!
I was there too, went with two of my pals from the Bronx and to this day that was one of the best concerts I ever saw, so unique and they pretty much blew Tull away! And if im not mistaken, I remember someone throwing flowers at Ian Anserson on the stage and him getting pissed off....UK was also seriously loud that night...the live album, for my purposes, was the only album, still listening to it today and turned all my kids on to it, and they dig it as much as I did over 40 years ago!
Bozzio then and now is a transcendent force of nature. As much fun to watch as he is to listen to. 100% pure energy. Violinist is a savage.

I saw them open for Tull in the Old Boston Garden's and was blown away.
Good Audio! Thanks! man from Moscow 1968 :-)
Saw this same band open for Jethro Tull, Edmonton,
Saturday, 14 Apr., 1979.
this was the band wetton hoped to last for him. you can see why. this trio was magical.
UK total brilliance. Eddie Jobson, what a virtuoso musician. In my opinion one of the best electric violinist in the world, not to mention a monster on the keyboards too. Excellent performance by all here.
George Acton this is right. He's the king of Keyboard and violin.
i found eddie jobson from his work with frank zappa

I saw them with Tull that same year at Madison Square Garden. Both bands were epic.

Great tune, great performance. And Wetton with a beard and Bozzio with a "new wave haircut" already in '79.

this band is fantastic, when Wetton played a progbass and Drum Octopus Bozzio was the hero from Zappa. Eddie Jobson is unbelievable
right words !
One of my all time favorite live recordings. An engineering masterpiece. My hat’s off.
Yes!! Mine too!!
Mozart on violin, with the help of a magician on drums
Takes me back. Saw them on this tour in ‘79, front of stage at the Venue in London. Couldn’t believe the sounds he got from that violin.
Terry Bozzio impresionante!!
These guys are amazing. Know of them, never heard them before just recently.
Fantastic live performance!! UK was huge in Philly... saw them for free at penns landing...
John Wetton, Eddie Jobson, Terry Bozzio
Never seen this before....insane! I love Bruford, but damn, Bozzio makes this song much more fun. Awesome.

Bozzio on drums. So cool.

This is my life of contemplation in music. This guys put it up there where climax exists.
Violin and vocal harmonies give me Kansas vibes. Love it! 🤩
Could they play or what!? Fabulous...
The drumming and fiddle playing at the very end is worth waiting for - raises the hair on the back of my neck.
Bozzio the Beast !
