Additionally, with the saturation of coverage on this particular topic, isn't there other newsworthy information that CNN could offer?
It's becoming exhausting to continually revisit this issue.
It's clear that President Biden is not considering resignation and one wonders who the media expects to seamlessly assume the presidential candidacy without widespread public support and only three and half months to go.
Indeed, President Biden has a succession plan in place, with the Vice President prepared to assume the role if necessary. However, one might question whether there is an ulterior motive behind the incessant speculation.

I am not American but I don't understand how voting for a person who cannot function is democracy. If the primary had been a real election, it might've mattered but it was a show election very much like Russia's elections.
Neither Putin nor Biden had any significant opponents in those elections. And anyone who considered (seriously) running is and would be blackballed if they came close to upsetting the apple cart.
It's the reason Sanders, Whitmer, Newsom and more didn't run. It's not because they think they're worse than Joe Biden. It's because they knew it was political suicide to run against him in the primary.
That's why Dean Philips was the only "real" candidate. There's always at least one for the show of it. The same thing happened in Obama's 2nd term and Clinton's 2nd term.

I have been saying the same thing for two years. Myself and many of my Democrat aquaintances have discussed the fact the we had all at one point or another wrote to the DNC and complained that Biden wasn't right to represent the party. Many of his actions were not normal Democrat ideals. What made taking action so difficult was that media would only report the left or right of his actions so any criticism was responded too either by accusing us of being MAGA or missunderstanding what was really going on.
