All Germans have quite an accent I've noticed after living there since a few months. In comparison to the average, I'd consider Thomas a native English speaker :-)
The quality is wonderful on this video, and as always Thomas is wonderful. Also I'm a fan of the black wheels, they really match better with more colors in my opinion and I'm a fan of the aggressive look.
Thanks for a great review Thomas. Beauty is subjective and it is always a personal preference, I think the 3 series is one of the most attractive shapes of saloon/sedan cars. Particularly in M-Sport trim. BMW gets the styling most times. I would be interested to see a mini review of the F31 differences to the F30. They are so similar that it probably doesn't need a full review. The higher level of road noise, could be due to the run-flat tyres as they are a bit noisier in my experience.
To me, the way it drives and handle is the number one criteria for buying a new car. Although BMW seems to take a step back in that regard, I still think they are ahead of the major competitions in terms of driving dynamic.
Autogefühl i just watched it, i like it but i still prefer the f30 design i guess the new 3 series design has still to grow on us :) great channel btw!
thank you for this video, im going to a dealership to check out one of these tomorrow used with only 7k km, wish me luck hopefully i can come to good terms on it
Thanks for this review. Please do more 3 series in future, as we need your expert opinions compared to the higher series. I prefer silver alloy wheels, always. Makes the car stand out more, especially when they have been cleaned properly & gives a bright effect. The front interior I am disappointed, this is where in my opinion VW group cars are ahead. Even KIA interiors look very nice too. Hopefully BMW will surprise us in the next generation with a new look. Cheers.
Hello Thomas, Thanks for yet another complete and objective review. It's interesting to note that BMW offers lower power models in the domestic market, whereas the "3er" starts at a more premium level here in France (perhaps also in other markets). I agree with the idea that people would intrinsically trust the 3-series because it not only delivers on a reliable car promise but also offers good resale value. It's also a fun car to drive when you're out on your own. it would be interesting to compare today's 330 or 340i to a 5 series (528 - 545) back in the 80's ...
Just checked, the 5er E12 from the late seventies was just 1 cm shorter than today's 3er and about 12 cm narrower ! I suppose a similar story could be told about the Golf and others. But it's interesting to see how important proportions are in modern car design;
Hey Thomas. That is real aluminium. I have the exact spec 3 series and on cold days, you can feel how cold and metallic those can get. Still, great review.
Weak points 1. The bad thing is that the wind noise sounds more than normal. 2. When u have down ur windows and then trying to close the door, the sound is very bad. 3. When your opening the trunk it doesnt show you on the dash that the trunk is open and it doesnt even warn you when your driving it, it only shows you the trunk when your opening the front door, its really crazy how is that normal?
Great review again Thomas, I am so happy to see a BMW with fabric seats! I think this is the first BMW I have ever seen that doesn’t have animal skin, it is a shame that in Australia it is extremely difficult to buy a European vehicle without leather especially if you purchase any interior upgrades or go for the better engine :-( +autogefühl
Thanks Thomas! One of my all time favorite car the 3 series. I've owned E36 and E46 generations. Loved them. I don't believe that they will cancel the L-shape rear light unit because it's traditional since E32 7 series.
Great review, as usual, been waiting for this from you guys for ages. Thank you, Thomas!! One question though, are you guys planning to do a review of BMW 4 gran coupe and may be compare it Audi A5 sportback. Thanks..
Thank you Thomas, great review. I am actually thinking of Alpina D3, instead of BMW, but I am a bit concerned about noise inside the cabin at a bit higher speeds (I am driving F10 at the moment which is incredibly silent). Would you be willing to do a D3 review?
The interesting thing with those dark wheels is that they have normal tyres, not runflats. I toyed between those ang the ferric grey wheels. Ideally would have ferric grey 18s but without runflats. Chose the ferric grey with runflats they are good but wondering for would be even more quiet and have even more grip with normal non runflats. I have 2016 330i m sport saloon bought new now on 18000 miles and very happy with it. I would buy same again. It is more comfortable better looking car with a moore exciting drive than its competitors. Your review I think is accurate and consistent with how I feel about the car.
Nice review! But the facelift 330i should have 252 hp. The pre facelift 328i had 245 hp. I like this car. Although the 3 series almost got too big for my taste. I hope I will find a used f30 330i next year to replace my e90 320d.
+Bullitt every single vehicle you can buy has a different hp figure because they cannot exactly have the same hp production wise so it doesn't really matter. You can do some tests on power and can see that the results vary more than the customers expect up and down
I find they visually shrink the wheels, for example if 18 is largest you can run on your car no point in upgrading from 17 silver to 18 black, it will look the same and you are just adding weight.
thank you Thomas, the 330 i is surely an interesting engine if the 340 i is unreachable. The question I ask myself though, isn´t it better to go for the X drive for safety reasons. What is your opinion about this ?
depends on where u live actually. Where I live it doesnt really matter as we dont have something like a true winter. Nothing like a true summer either, sadly ;)
in Luxemburg ist es im Winter fast immer glattt da die Temperatur oft um die 0 Grad schwankt und in den anderen Jahreszeiten regnet es oft. Deswegen denke ich ist der X-drive doch ein Vorteil .
I live in Estonia, so we have snowy winters. I have rear wheel drive 320i. Most important- have good winter tyres! I got studded Nokians. Not any problems, though car behaves differently from my previous ones. BMW's stability control is silk smooth. Maybe in central Europe where studded tires are banned I would go for xdrive, but four wheel drive mostly helps when starting from standstill and when thick snow on roads. On cornering and braking all cars are equal- they have four wheels- so it's mostly about the tyre grip and there studded tire is better. My other car is AWD Volvo XC60, before that were AWD Subaru Outback and then Saab 9-5 FWD and wife has FWD Mazda 3. Just my personal experience and opinion - others may have different experiences.
Romain Meyer i have got the 328i without X Drive, 2013, when its wet or snowy in winter you have to be gentle on the gas, I would say over 230hp XDrive would be a safer choice if you have a lot of snowy or wet conditions. My next one will feature xDrive. Buy the way i am living in Germany. You feel that its slippery without the XDrive, Even if you are gentle on the Gas the traction control is working hard in Winter conditions when its Snowy. In Summertimes the rear wheeldrive will be fine but for autmn and Winter the Xdrive is a better choice. Trust me, you will feel a lot more confident driving the 330i with xDrive in Bad wheater.
Normally light rims for me, although black rims on a white car could be cool. Really interesting to learn about comfort in different sized cars. I’ve only ever driven B segment cars so far. It would be good to see more comparisons and discussions like that.
The modern 3 series is truly remarkable but I'd rather pay a little more and have the 4 series gran coupe which is even sharper looking, more athletic and as practical. And most importantly it's not remotely as commonplace.
I am really in Love with BMW. We got the 328i, its so much fun it has great performance and a superb milelage one the highway buuuuut I have tried recently the new A4 and its impressive how super quite it is while driving even at higher speeds and that is something i would love for my BMW too.
For me it doesn't make any sense to pay 4 - 5k € more just for a slightly more "sporty" design with still the same engine and technology under the hood. New or used. Instead you should better invest the money in a slightly better car or extras...
I know this is an old video but I am currently tossing up between getting a Skoda Superb 206 TSI sportline or a f30 330i M sport... Do you have an opinion on which one you will choose I have watched your Skoda review and you spoke very highly of that as well. I am in Australia and I can get the Skoda for around $5000 less than the equivalent year model BMW if that makes any difference.
Depends on exterior color, with white/silver colors I'd go with dark matte rims, same goes for some greys, other colors: Blue, green, black, even, would get glossy or brushed wheels for me.
Can you do a short feature history behind the Opel brand and gather up some memorabilia/famous Opel cars from the past Thomas? Also some explanation as to the acquisition by PSA. Thanks.
Just curious if any f30 (or similar BMW gen) owners can comment on the hi-fi sound system? I’m looking for a F30, and it seems that the HK systems are very hard to come by.
Standard sound system is surprisingly acceptable if configured properly. Got HK in my Mini Cooper, and I don‘t notice much of a difference between the Mini with HK and my F31 without HK.
That's the Qi charger in the arm rest. Not sure what BMW was thinking. Larger phones will not fit. They should have just had a "mat," like everyone else uses for their Qi charging solution.
Bright rims Thomas! I'm not a fan of the dark rear roll pan look, a more elegant body-color is required for a car of this price range! The "ideal" 3 series to me is the 340 X-drive! Poor fella with the wrecked X3! Sad...Funny! But sad... ;-) I sure wished that BMW would return the 335 diesel (3 liter diesel) here to the states! I'd buy it today if BMW sold the "new" 335 X-drive diesel today!
Another well executed unbiased review, thanks Thomas, I own an E93 3 series convertible, have you heard any horror stories regarding the roof mechanism? Am reluctant to use on short journeys as would add to wear and tear..?
Autogefühl yes I did and I was unable to find point by point comparison of this facelift bimmer with a4 b9 with equivalent engine, hence asked for comment. I come from Poland. Interior wise I believe that upholstery options are more less the same as in Germany.
I currently drive a 2011 Honda Accord 2.4. Now I really want to change it for a BMW. My options are the 330i, 530i and the X3 30i. I'm not fond of cars with a stiff suspension and am looking for a car that can just soak up bumps like a charm. Which of the three options would be right for me?
Question 1 black wheel silver wheel? Black wheels in this instance as speccing them is the only way to get non run flat tyres from the factory. I didn’t spec those on my 330i msport. I have changed tyres to non run flat Yokohama summer tyres and can testify the car is greatly improved as a result. Less tyre roar being transferred to the interior even better comfort and better grip characteristics. Question 2 Should the disc player be dropped. No the disc player provides. The very best sound quality. I think the spec for best handling would be to go for lowest weight. So 4 cylinder 330i with the sweet manual box and adaptive m sport suspension. That combination specially with decent non run flat tyres provides supreme comfort great handling with very precise steering. The ride is way more compliant (better at smoothing out bumps) than with even the Basic non s line etc version of the latest A4. I tested both these cars and others. I have now completed over 20 000 Miles on my 330i saloon specced as suggested above. Very happy with it but fuel consumption is not as good as expected. I average 29mpg over all those miles. Drove an auto 330d msport auto without adaptive for a few days. Very nice and addictive torquey Diesel engine. It even sounds good from inside the car. Ace auto box though I like manual too. Not sure I would want to pay extra for it but would take it if no option as in 340i etc. Not quite as responsive steering. The ride not quite as alive or as plush. Still good though. MPG was 35 mpg
I'm finally getting a BMW, but I have a question regarding the LED headlights, how do you compare them vs the Xenon?? Which ones give better illumination? Thank you for the great reviews!
Watching 7 years later and its still useful, one of the best channels.
Thank you so much! Please recommend / share our channel and our videos 🙏
One of the best channels. No nonsense, informative, classy
thanks, stay tuned!
and number one presenter Thomas :D all the love
Always a joy watching your reviews, Thomas. You and the team are pure quality
always appreciated!
I could listen to Thomas reviewing a lawn mower, without even video skipping.
good idea :>
ricardo - agree.
I think this engine in facelift version is 252bhp, not 245bhp as mentioned in the beginning
Yup
Yep, it's the B48
my favorite reviewer and one of my favorite cars!
way to go !
That color with those wheels looks amazing. BMW really knows how to make a great looking car
Thanks, Thomas for this review. If you remember I was the one who asked you for this. This is a perfect car.
+Vytautas Gečas 😎
and that joke about X3 was perfect. Keep on doing this :D
long time no see Thomas.. you are the best presenter
That plug to your review after you saw that crashed X3 is hilarious!
I definitely like the bright wheels as well Thomas. Love the standard 3-series profile. The perfect sedan if you ask me.
Wow, such a comprehensive review! Thank you for taking the time to do this!
thanks keep joining us!
You are the only one that I watch your all videos! Good work King Autogefühl!
+Shamsi Qadirli 👍👍👍
i mean many ppl mock about his accent but considering how other germans speak he speaks really good
jawohl!
Sweet car and a great review. Still like my F31 today, the F3x cars have a classic touch to them.
I think that the more Germanic the vehicle, the more Germanic is your accent!
Lol
All Germans have quite an accent I've noticed after living there since a few months. In comparison to the average, I'd consider Thomas a native English speaker :-)
Well I don't know where you have lived before but that guy for sure is not a native speaker. He's fluent but the accent is just very german!
I agree (as a German) but since most of the English Native Speakers are too lazy to learn foreign languages we have to speak our "Denglisch".
yeah, sometimes it sound just like german^^, but it has some charme.
This car is still classic ❤
The quality is wonderful on this video, and as always Thomas is wonderful.
Also I'm a fan of the black wheels, they really match better with more colors in my opinion and I'm a fan of the aggressive look.
thanks so much !

+David Hart 👍
24:08 - you can also hold down the left paddle and it will automatically kick down to the lowest possible gear. Good for preparing to overtake
Bester Kanal Love your Review
Thank you so much 🙂
Nice car and great review Thomas. Doing so many videos now, have to take out extra time to watch them all. 👍
+Manj Bains enjoy 😊
To me, the way it drives and handle is the number one criteria for buying a new car. Although BMW seems to take a step back in that regard, I still think they are ahead of the major competitions in terms of driving dynamic.
This car is close to perfection
Also compare our review of the all new generation
Autogefühl i just watched it, i like it but i still prefer the f30 design i guess the new 3 series design has still to grow on us :) great channel btw!
I love your reviews 🙂
although this model (f30) is outdated but I think it's still a good looking car compared to its rivals, kinda like the sporty look of this 3 series
i own one (RWD 2017 330i), i get remarks about the M Sport bumper all the time! Its very beautiful.
thank you for this video, im going to a dealership to check out one of these tomorrow used with only 7k km, wish me luck hopefully i can come to good terms on it
Good luck!
Did I buy it

cheers!
Thanks for this review
appreciated!
The best looking 3 series ever.
Great review, love Autogefühl!!
😊
The rear design reminds me the 3 series e46, and it's a good point.
Great reviews as always! I'm planning to buy a 3 series and it is very useful.
thanks spread the word for us! =)

+He-Man yeah felt that too now!
Nothing compares to BMW!! Deutche Qualität!

Both interior and exterior look like it's modern E46. Especially the shape of it looking at its side
Great review again Thomas, I am so happy to see a BMW with fabric seats! +Scott Thompson 👌👌
Fantastic review good sir
🙏🙏
Thanks Thomas! One of my all time favorite car the 3 series. I've owned E36 and E46 generations. Loved them. I don't believe that they will cancel the L-shape rear light unit because it's traditional since E32 7 series.
+tupaei01 👍👍
Wish the US 3 Series M-Sports came with those suede designs. I think the Rossyln factory builds are like this
This is an excellent value Compact/midsize sport luxury sedan and spec. I think it strikes a great balance of cost, sportiness and practicality.
can u review the m240i or m140i??? love the channel!
especially the 140i.
Check this out: ruclips.net/video/I3OhqwH9AVA/видео.html
Sooner or later you need to make a review of the 140i!!!
Any chance of a 4 series GC review?
i wanna review thomas' exterior ,interior and of course his german performance in full hd full length. LET'S GO
Gay?
I wish they'd get the numbering to match the displacement again.. something like a 320t would be more accurate than 330i
I love the way you say horse power. 👍
"They probably need a new X3 now" Yes I laughed :-D
Haha @ 24:15 when you saw a crashed X3 and used it to spruik your latest X3 review... smooth!
My friends think it's strange that I like to binge watch Autogefühl videos about cars I'll never own. 🙃
sounds great!
same here, i watch them even tho i have 2k euro car :D And probably won't buy anything close to this in a near future.
German guys always top level lol.
Either 3 series is really low or Thomas got taller, great car and for some reason that silver color looks best on BMW. Great review Thomas as usual.
thanks pal !
Try alpine white!
Is that your personal car Thomas? Very neat car... Love the cloth / alcantara seats 😍😍
+Archie Makuwa test vehicle. Yeah awesome!
Can't wait for the M4 review
252 not 245 ... 245 was the old N20 engine, this is the new B48
Great review, as usual, been waiting for this from you guys for ages. Thank you, Thomas!! One question though, are you guys planning to do a review of BMW 4 gran coupe and may be compare it Audi A5 sportback. Thanks..
thanks m8! We do have 4-Series Convertible and several A5 reviews so far
always bright rims and blue Thomas
+Alvaro Guinda 😎
I love how BMW is conservative! Great video
+Karl lee 👌
Thank you Thomas, great review. I am actually thinking of Alpina D3, instead of BMW, but I am a bit concerned about noise inside the cabin at a bit higher speeds (I am driving F10 at the moment which is incredibly silent). Would you be willing to do a D3 review?
+Roberto Vis thanks! Alpina wont supply cars
e46 coupe 3 series/m3 is the best looking bmw ever made
Okay
Wow ....wasn't aware how old they look !! Who would buy this over an out comming model 3?
well they dont offer any full electric yet
A review of the 330e would be great considering the rapidly increasing taxation on pure combustion engines in the EU.
The interesting thing with those dark wheels is that they have normal tyres, not runflats. I toyed between those ang the ferric grey wheels. Ideally would have ferric grey 18s but without runflats. Never black rims, just classic alloy!
Black rims look like a spare wheel. Normal rims are the best.
Totally agree
I find they visually shrink the wheels, for example if 18 is largest you can run on your car no point in upgrading from 17 silver to 18 black, it will look the same and you are just adding weight.
Yeah , silver original wheels m sport wheels are the best.

Really interesting to learn about comfort in different sized cars. I’ve only ever driven B segment cars so far. It would be good to see more comparisons and discussions like that.
Must say I'm very disappointed to see naked metal in the boot space inside above. Looks very cheap and more noise will come in from the rear.
Das wars wieder komplett
A little bit of wind noise I have noted when you were driving on the motorway.
The modern 3 series is truly remarkable but I'd rather pay a little more and have the 4 series gran coupe which is even sharper looking, more athletic and as practical. And most importantly it's not remotely as commonplace.
The 4-series GC is a brilliant blend of style and practicality, I´m still going for a 3-series though, the 330e is only available in that bodystyle.
you could get a touring?
I am really in Love with BMW. We got the 328i, its so much fun it has great performance and a superb milelage one the highway buuuuut I have tried recently the new A4 and its impressive how super quite it is while driving even at higher speeds and that is something i would love for my BMW too.

hi thomas great review as always . glad i decided to get a volvo s60 r design nw . much mre stylish . thanx
thanks dave!
I am looking like this model for sale very perfect 330i B48 engine
Black Rims look good on a silver or white car!
Guess it depends what you want, the BMW offers RWD and sportier drive, the Superb clearly offers more space
@@autogefuehl OK thank you very much for the reply.
Good work.. Appreciate!
👌
Depends on exterior color, with white/silver colors I'd go with dark matte rims, same goes for some greys, other colors: Blue, green, black, even, would get glossy or brushed wheels for me.
we wait for you to test the new type r!thanks
Cooles Video und dazu noch in meiner Nachbarschaft gedreht :-)
😎
Can you do a short feature history behind the Opel brand and gather up some memorabilia/famous Opel cars from the past Thomas? Also some explanation as to the acquisition by PSA. Thanks.
Just curious if any f30 (or similar BMW gen) owners can comment on the hi-fi sound system? I’m looking for a F30, and it seems that the HK systems are very hard to come by.
Standard sound system is surprisingly acceptable if configured properly. Got HK in my Mini Cooper, and I don‘t notice much of a difference between the Mini with HK and my F31 without HK.
Very Nice review!, i hope you can review the new bmw 6 gran turismo soon!
thanks ! we ll do
3 series is a good car but like C class, Xe , IS300h, it is really not good for families. Rear places are really not confartable. It is too small.
That's the Qi charger in the arm rest. Not sure what BMW was thinking. Larger phones will not fit. They should have just had a "mat," like everyone else uses for their Qi charging solution.
CLASSIC

+Dine Lalumiere 👍
Another well executed unbiased review, thanks Thomas, I own an E93 3 series convertible, have you heard any horror stories regarding the roof mechanism? Am reluctant to use on short journeys as would add to wear and tear..?
thanks m8 ! Hm, I raised that question here, so far only positive feedback: ruclips.net/video/e6XwWvhXUUs/видео.html
I've got a similar raised cover/pattern on my DS3 sport and unless you are wearing something thick it digs into your back after a while
I like your channel a lot! Very thorough, very German! How do you compare this 330 bimmer with a4 b9 252hp?
+Franz Maurer ✌️thx! Seen our a4 reviews?
Autogefühl yes I did but I am looking for your opinion on a4 after you drove BMW.
+Franz Maurer watched this here full lengths? I thought i talked about that :) whats ur market? In which car can u avoid animal skin?
Autogefühl yes I did and I was unable to find point by point comparison of this facelift bimmer with a4 b9 with equivalent engine, hence asked for comment. I come from Poland. Interior wise I believe that upholstery options are more less the same as in Germany.
finallyyyyy
Thank you!!

330i M Sport is very stiff i can tell you...530i is softer.
The ride is way more compliant (better at smoothing out bumps) than with even the
Basic non s line etc version of the latest A4.
Interesting report!
Ich habe über das Späßchen gelacht :D
Ich finde, dass 320d/i vollkommen ausreichen in jeder Lage, mehr ist eigentlich unnötig.
I'm finally getting a BMW, but I have a question regarding the LED headlights, how do you compare them vs the Xenon?? Which ones give better illumination? Thank you for the great reviews!
Thx! Led are better but not worth the extra price if u wanna save money
