1940s, 35mm FILM OF A VERY YOUNG, DANCING, BARBARA PERRY

This is a rare early film of Barbara Perry tap dancing at a nightclub. This was found on 35mm film and was most likely shot for television broadcast.
As an American entertainer Barbara Perry worked acting, singer and dancer for 84 years. She began her film career appearing in the movie, “Counsellor at Law” in 1933. Barbara Perry headlined as a solo ballet and tap dancer in many top line nightclubs internationally (such as in this film) Her work also includes various on and off-Broadway productions. She had small parts in at least 29 movies from 1933 to 2017 and was in episodes of at least 55 television shows from 1948 to 2017 including. Perry Mason, The Donna Reed Show, The Andy Griffith Show, My Three Sons, The Twilight Zone, Bewitched, I Love Lucy and The Dick Van Dyke Show. Those are just a few of the shows she was in that I use to watch years ago.

She was an amazing dancer, I don't know if she got as much recognition as those who came after her. I Have seen many movies over the years and I think she was up there with all of them.

I had seen her in several tv shows but wasn’t aware of her movies, dancing or singing but my memories of her are much older than she is here. Thank you for watching.
