That "U're the Best" ending is like the polar opposite of the first Gex game's secret ending, where the game goes on to make fun of you for being good at nothing but playing video games and wasting your life. I kinda prefer this one.
I think this one was straight up low key mocking the player, I'm not sure why someone wouldn't see it that way though, because he doesn't sound sincere to me.

I could beat the SNES version on hard, but not the Sega CD version, which was tougher, particularly in Level 5 The cow mooing didn't sound so obnoxious in the SNES version. You can chalk that up to the Mega Drive inferior sound processors
When I first played this fantastically enjoyable video game throughout, I would not have thinked that cow (which was launched from the beginning of the game) will have significance to the ending. I played a lot with it's sequel on Sega Megadrive and that was also very good action platformer game. :) That sequel's ending would be worth to check out, it was so much ridiculous.
