I used this recipe several times now. It comes out perfect each time. I used oil instead of ghee and cashew yogurt. This way my vegan son and others can enjoy it too.
Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!
Another great recipe ! Turned out excellent. The instant pot didn’t come to pressure and very slight burning at the bottom. But it cooked perfectly. I transferred the biryani right away to larger glass containers
I followed the recipe verbatim. In my case I got a message 'burn food'. I just added another 1 and half cup of water to see if the issue is going to be fixed.
Same experience. I wonder if low pressure , keeping still 5 mins might work , I also had more veggies than in the recipe, that could be the issue too , I am tryin it, shall update if it works .Instant pot brand
@GuruRecipes the pressure will be released automatically once I turn off the keep warm feature off currently I have set it to 7 mins on high pressure with keep warm feature on please advice and thank you so much
I dont know why my Biryani got stuck and burn at the bottom and cooking pressure couldn't turn on notifying food burn! Please suggest where it could go wrong!
@@GuruRecipes i used India gate basmati rice. Added more water too but not sure. It was having water on top but burnt at bottom. Can it be possible because i used butter instead of ghee?
@@khushbujetly If you use butter, mix with oil then it won't burn at the bottom. But that will be during sauté process, 'food burn' indicator is from instant pot setting - check sealing valve is cleaned, sealing ring is placed properly. check this link to get some more tips : instantpot.com/instant-pots-overheat-burn-protection/
@@khushbujetly That may be it! I think butter has a lower smoke point than ghee does. Best wishes to you! This recipe looks delicious, and thank you, Guru Recipes, for sharing it!

You are lucky. For me it is exiting with 'burn food' every time.
Thank you
@@sriharshacv7760 Please add little more water to avoid burn.
I will try that on the rice cooker

@@GuruRecipes After 5 minutes of cooking, how many minutes should I leave for NPR?
@@ajayb5075 It may take 10 to 15 minutes.

Update: I tried this 3 times and it burnt 3 times. I am trying a different strategy this time. Shall update if it works.
Update2: This time I fried vegetables separately and poured them on top of water & rice. Same result.
Thanks for your update, you can try adding little more water, and reduce the time. What Instant Pot do you use?

What is NPR and my instant pot has keep warm feature shall i turn it off and set the pressure cooker setting for 6 mins plz tell
NPR is natural pressure release, you can turn it off once it is done and wait for the pressure release.

What is NPR in the end of the video?
That is Natural Pressure Release, let the valve drop off by itself.

Hi..r u still using instant pot ...any feedback...i am planning to buy one
Yes, I am. It is worth buying.
@@GuruRecipes oh..thanku for the reply..
Here 1 cup is 180 ml cup?
1 US standard cup = 236 ml.
Price 10,000 only
If i use rice settling on instantpot then what you suggest me? Will it make any difference?
For this veg biryani, high pressure 5 minutes should be enough.
How long do we soak the rice ?
The answer is in the video, 12 seconds in.
I have a 3 quart instant pot. Will all these ingredients fit in my instant pot? :(
how many portions (people) is this good for? Can i double this recipe for 6 people? thx
Yes you can!
I dont have manual option what shall I use for that?
Manual option is same as pressure. Thanks for watching.
@@GuruRecipes thanks
@K2 Domes no thanks
How many people will it serve
5 to 7 people

Sorry my biriyani was burned using this proportion
Sorry about that. May be you can reduce 1 or 2 minutes.
Kavya Jayaprakash Add water:rice in 1:1 ratio and do high pressure with time set to 2 min. It will not burn.
Yes I burnt for me too. I used the ratios suggested
