    We bought child's metal detector on ebay £14. On first visit to golf park, we found £17.48 of coins LITERALLY EVERYWHERE! Then we found silver cross around 1.5 inches modern, some tokens of some sort ? a golfers badge from 1967 - no metal value. On our very 2nd visit to Canvey Island, we found over £60 . I kid you not! We found some old Georgian coins, one was in half, then we found a broken 9ct gold necklace at the beach. The money was everywhere near the fairground. Could have found more but we had to head home in the rain. absolute fun day out. We're going again this weekend!

    About time people had something to buy their kids and take detecting with them that's not a pointless toy. Great machine.

    Would you recommend this to an adult looking to get into metal detecting? This would be great to play with while walking the dog

      @mrix 4 года назад +1

      It would be mainly for Children but if a adult did not want to take up the hobby seriously then this would be ideal for a bit of fun.

      @@neevisits2957 I think for the price the New Makro Nokta range of mini hoard machines are a good option, very light weight, waterproof to 1 metre with good depth performance, around the £100 mark.

      @mrix 3 года назад

      Hello having looked it appears they do not make the model anymore, well from what I can see, many of these very cheap machines are rubbish and pretty much toys, this was the only cheap model of metal detector I tested that actually worked so be very careful when purchasing something similar, best of luck mrix

    Would this fit an 8 year old? Around 125cm tall.

    • @metaldetectingforum
      @metaldetectingforum  7 лет назад

      Hello chad, it certainly would, you can see within the video I can still use it and I am 5ft 9" but its very light weight and can be used for a small child also, its quite a versatile piece of kit which can be used by the whole family, you would find it very hard to find anything within that price range with that depth performance ... best regards mrix

      Metal Detecting Forum cheers buddy. Was thinking og grtting him the Ace 150 but this looks a little smaller, dont want him to struggle to much. Would you say this is smaller than the Garrett?

    • @metaldetectingforum
      @metaldetectingforum  7 лет назад

      Hello yes it is smaller than the Garrett, I am often surprised how many people say get the Garrett ace 150 for young kids, yes its light but still a little on the heavy side for the younger kids.... best of luck in whatever you decide on.....mrix
