He may have been more influential in his rap style and that's only regional. YG is overall more influential, and had more presence outside of L.A. I'm from NY when YG 1st album dropped it bumped out here. Lot of people don't really know Drakeo here but some definitely do but you never hear anyone play his music even after he passed. After Nip passed though his music could be heard out of every other whip. It was undeniable. I never heard no one bump Drakeo even though they would recognize his talent, but when he die it was just like, "yo you heard about boy who got kilt in Cali?" That was pretty much it, they knew he was a big deal in the west.
Maybe in LA. I didn't know who Drakeo was until he did. But I knew who YG was. Drakeo definantely was more of a local rapper. While YG was the national rapper.
