Camiguin’s dress is by Cary Santiago, the master couturier behind Gazini Ganados’ national costume that won her the best in national costume award at MU 2019 ❤

Zambales was epic. Mandaue and Mariveles were beautifully Hollywood. Most other gowns were garden-variety glittery, sometimes at the expense of making the ladies look much more mature for their age. The exception was Taguig’s understated but exceptionally crafted gown, a style I think is fitting for a youthful looking Miss. Tres chic.

I learned from the book Forever Fluent that one of the biggest challenges to learning new words and languages is training our ears to hear sounds that aren't present in our native language. I've realllly been feeling that challenge. Half the battle is trying to listen closely to the pronunciations.

I love Bulacan, I think she's one of the dark horse this season but, I kinda her prefer her curly look rather than the straight hair. I feel like she will stand out more if she does wear her curly hair.

Big disappointment for Alexie and Athisa.. Alex is to force on her performance but I luv d gown and Athisa nothing new on her I felt like she just borrowed a gown from Catriona and change it.. she's just one of the .. But I keep on eye to d dark horse Bulacan Ang Palawan.. great performance

Hi Dani, Camiguin's gown was created by Cary Santiago. He is famous for the "bird" design concept. He is the same designer for Gazini Ganados. He is from Cebu.
Zambales is looking at the "Best In Evening Gown" Award straight in the eye. MY GOD! This is one of those moments when a designer and a muse truly fused their essences together to present the pinnacle of their partnership. It was so spectacular even spectacular is an understatement.

I loved the evening competition as always but I was surprised by how many were doing an interpretation of last year’s Miss Thailand with the casual hair flip. When I first noticed it, I was like “Why is this familiar?” Then it clicked.
Mark Bumgarner made Taguig's gown. Same designer who made Michelle Dee's iconic gowns.

Mark Bumgarner is the designer of Taguig’s gown. The same person who designed the black gown of Michelle Dee at Miss Universe 2023 coronation night.
If zambales enter top 5 , a big chances that she will get the crown of miss universe. Either zambales or laguna

Obviously that last girl has a very slim waist, you can see it when she's wearing a swimsuit but she was definitely wearing a very tight corset under that gown as well.

I have to say, I don't see Ahtisa being the front runner here. So far, this year's batch for me doea not have a clear front runner for that crown. This is going to be a very interesting finals.

For the evening gown my top 5 are CEBU, QUEZON PROVINCE, ZAMBALES, PAMPANGA, and PALAWAN. Special mention to LAGUNA, PASIG, CAMIGUIN and TALISAY.
"Hair down"-- Prior to the eve gown round, I did notice that a lot of the ladies wore ponytail extensions, most likely to save up on time for doing their updo's in the eve gown set, though a lot of them still wore these for eve gown. The thing is those hair extensions they used nearly all looked the same in terms of color, texture, and length. If only they could have worn their real hair down, Just my two cents.

These women can slay the runway but I have to comment on some of these gowns. My favorite dress was Taguig’s. And I agree, the seaming was flawless not surprising as it was designed by mark bumgarner. Some of the dresses in my opinion really weren’t well constructed. There were unfinished and uneven hems, super high slits where the underwear is shown, disregard for proper lining, chunky horsehair at the hem, and mesh that didn’t match skin tone and I’ll fitting and overall just a lack of editing with too many ideas in one dress. Kind of reminds me of student work. But there were some really good standouts. zambales looked like a high fashion avatar and bacoor had a really unique silhouette with the exaggerated cup which I thought was interesting but needed some thing on the lining to make it a complete 3D effect especially when she turns. Quezon province even if safe, was one of best constructed gowns that looked complete, I guess not surprising coming from a seasoned fashion designer like Michael cinco. I have to give props to the creativity though but the taste level of gowns nowadays is really questionable.
All Ms Zambales’ gowns were gorgeous the Filipiniana gown the prelims and the finals gowns wes superb very sexy classy and elegant. The gowns were perfectly fit for her. Very sexy … Amazing

Australia should have trained prepared and worked with the same people she did in philippines but competed in Australia because i saw them and she would be top 10 on looks alone and we know Philippines designers etc have outdone many im sure after seeing her here that she would have been top 5 and probably won. There are some natural beauties this year that could give us what we got last year.. Maybe 😊
