Both Madam X and Rebel Heart were severely underrated. Madonna is an artist like no other. I think Madam X is an amazing work of art, but a lot of the songs were not what would you consider “commercial pop songs” although I do think there are some that fit that category on the album.

One thing I love about Madonna music videos is they are great bodies of art love the outfits and imagery she has in a lot of her videos only few artists can be this creative in their videos.
It’s really interesting they used a sample from Tchaikovsky’s works in this, it’s rlly adds to the significance of the video. Obviously it’s called dark ballet, but also the composer himself was a closeted gay man, that to be in 19th century Russia, so he could probably have been sentenced to death for openly being who he was. And yet he continued to write pieces to please Russian royalty and emphasize nationalism according to their wishes. But in his pieces, if you really listen and feel them, you can hear his struggle and overwhelming suffering. It’s unbearable at times. I highly recommend listening to his Symphony No. 5 as well as his piano concerto in b flat minor (I think it’s b flat minor but I can’t be sure, so sorry!) oh and Francesca da Rmini.
