@mybikes1970 if you dont like the looks of the hole in the cover, use washers in between the cover and case. I use 3 washers on every bolt. The clutch gears acts as a variator fan and constantly recirculates cool air into the cover. It also expels the clutch pad dust. It works very well.
@@kjsmolikThat's a good idea 👍 I never thought much about clutch heat, being an issue. I was just thinking you could turn the clutch cover into a vented heat sink by - removing the cover gasket, sand cover gasket area smooth, so it makes good even metal to metal contact between engine case & cover, then drill some ventilation holes in the cover.
I'm gonna have to start doing 34 mile round trips when it gets warmer.......I was trying to see your rpm guage & max RPMs you were hitting. A full suspension bike would be so much nicer on 30 mile rides. To soak up the bumps.
I haven't done a ride like that in a long time and my body was sore afterwards lol! I didn't max out the rpms. A long trip with 36t is usually between 6500-7500rpm. I don't want to walk home when I'm 15miles away.
@@mybikes1970 03/06/1972 here. The same birthday as Shaquille O'Neal....I'm real sore after long rides also. 🤔 I wonder if Shaq gets sore now at his age?
@@mybikes1970 😂 They should make a motorized bicycle icy hot commercial 😂 It's gonna be high 40s & low 50s here in Central Illinois for a week or more. So I'll be able to get some rides in. One week it's-20F below zero & 2 weeks later 56F 🤪
Good ride 💯💯

You're very welcome 🙏🏾 look for part 2 coming soon 👍🏾😁
The clutch will run way cooler and last longer if you didn't have a cover on it or had a windowed cover. Heat kills clutches.
Aah ok! I guess I'll get the hole saw out. Thanks 👍🏾
