Completely agree!!! The raw distortion on the high ends that make them screetch painfully and industrially, and the glitch effects as part of a deconstructed hip hop beat, accomodated and juxtaposed by the most mellow and soft synth pads that would fit perfectly over a scene of a long forgotten and dead city in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie from the 90s. A similar style is used throughout the whole album, but especially also in “With You”. That’s the reason I adore these two tracks so so much. It creates this indescribable, timeless, futuristic feeling. Add to that the extreme talent of all the musicians to create each unique track and you get the best album ever created, which Hybrid Theory is, in my opinion.
dude, the fact the sample scream "Myself" is basically when Chester screams and doubled his vocals to the sampled voice of Chester. The sample was buried in the mix because you can't hear them in the album. In Live in Texas, You can hear them in the last chorus. And of course, I listened to this song in Spotify listening the album without skipping songs for the first time.
I'm assuming the reason everything is off beat is because these were uploaded from multitracks from a live show, and of course vinyl turntables are not perfect.
This type of sample and DJ work is what's missing from most of their later stuff
It's what makes Hybrid Theory sound so unique
This Is the essence of Hybrid Theory

This really demonstrates Joe Hahn's abilities.

i just realized are these the samples from the studio finals version of by myself?
Los gritos de Chester en el estribillo pueden ser los mismos samples de SuperXero (demo de By Myself), porque suenan igual
