I’m currently struggling with opiate addiction, I use codeine and oxy. I’ve tried getting clean multiple times, longest time I’ve lasted is 8 months. Stay strong my friend. God bless, Jesus loves you.
@@anjistone2946 my advice go to your doctor, they will give you codeine medication for you to redraw safely, basically they start you on say depending on dose you take, 8 tablets for six days and each day reduces, you will get redrawn symptoms like headaches and diarrhea but not as bad if you go cold turkey, you just take normal pain relief to help with pain
@@anjistone2946 what ever you do don’t go cold turkey unless medically supervised as I know someone who died as they wanted so much to come off drugs they decided to go cold turkey and died, they became dehydrated, delusional and their heart gave in, it’s dangerous, not like the movie where you see cold turkey and person clean, one must be under medical supervision where they will give you iv fluids to hydrate you, monitor your heart as pain is unbearable so they give you non addictive substances for pain
What happened you only lasted 8xmonths,? Something or someone triggered your relapse so you need to change or remove from your life, then remember during those 8xmonths what kept you from clean from the tablets, something in those eight months gave you a reason but also someone towards the end took it away
it was actually your mother in law you helped you out and the love for your wife and your doctor i am very happy that you are a clean and sober Man and now you can start to appreciate your life.
Currently addicted to nurofen plus. Currently taking a minimum of 2 boxes per day. We can buy them in pharmacy here in the UK. Hoping to quit but I can't. I just can't.
You know its pretty much psychological because anything over 32 of these tablets does nothing. I too had this problem, it causes stomach ulcers, stomach perforation, kidney stones, kidney cysts and acidosis. Here is the comparison: 32 Nurofen plus tablets = 450mg of Codeine which is the same as 45mg of Morphine and 15mg Oxycodone. The way to stop this addiction is Buprenorphine patches and reduce each week. The alternative is cold turkey and the symptoms can be severe and you can take paracetamol to help with this. Another alternative is Pregabalin however your doctor is highly unlikely to give this to you because it also has a risk of addiction. Doing nothing causes severe problems
My best advice is ask the doctor for help thay can't say no.... witch part of the would do you live in because most city's and country's have a.t.o.d.s witch means Alcohol tobacco and other drug services witch can help you with a doctor's referral....it changed my life I am on a a.t.a.o.d.s program and you can be on it for as long as you like. I have been on it for 6years now I started out on suboxone with a Chemist I went to every day then thay started a monthly suboxone injection witch is much better. The first one I was on was a wafer that dissolved's under your tongue I like the injection better because I don't hafto go to a Chemist every day and if you go away on holidays you hafto organised to take the suboxone with you and if you lose it you can't get more..but with the injection you don't hafto worry about it for a month....I hope the information helps you please let me know how you go if you want to......sorry it took me so long to get back to you I have a lot of comments to go throw good luck
@@themanfromdelmonte3589 completely agree, did you read about that woman who died last year, she was taking them for endometriosis which is painful but she overdosed, unfortunately I know someone who was addicted and it took them one year to come off, they had to go to doctors to get codeine based tablets to come down slowly
