Your comment makes me so happy! 🥺 Thank you so much for binge-watching my videos. I'm so excited for your study abroad journey too! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun especially since KU is now resuming activities that were restricted during the pandemic 😊
@@overthefield8548 I just came back home, but it was a 100/10! I would say the best university to study at in Korea. They organise so much for exchange students through KUBA, so even if you are more introverted like me it was easy to make friends :)) I miss Korea already and I'm looking if maybe I can go back to do my graduate studies😢
I'm going to KU this upcoming fall! Thank you for the video!! Any recommendations in terms of grocery shopping or getting around? I dont speak Korean and I'm a bit nervous for the language barrier!
Right now I'm having trouble with the class registration, because I was only able to register one before everything appeared to be filled!! If you have any recommendations on what to do on that it would be amazing
Hi, thanks for watching! And of course, I'm happy to help 😊 A lot of exchange students don't know how to speak Korean either, so you won't be alone. If they can do it, so can you! Try to memorize some essential Korean phrases before arriving, and also keep the Papago translation app on your phone. Papago was a lifesaver for me.
And about class registration, you're not alone either - trust me. Most of my friends were in the same boat as you, with just 1 or 2 classes they wanted. I think they joined waitlists for the classes they want because people will be dropping/adding classes for the first week or so. Hopefully you can get more classes that way 🤞🏻
Thank you!! I'm super excited for you too! I don't really have a list. The only thing I can think of right now is a plug adapter. I'm from the US and Korea doesn't have the same plugs as here 😊 If it's the same case for you, make sure to bring one!
Your video has helped me so much to prepare for my exchange next semester! If possibly may I know how you got your air bnb? I see some options on air bnb talk about paying monthly but I don't really understand how that works
I'm so glad it was helpful for you! I just searched for airbnbs near KU and filtered it by budget. I paid monthly for mine as well (total sum/number of months). I recommend messaging the host directly to confirm the monthly rates and payment details. 😊
I personally don't know anyone who went to Yonsei so I don't want to give any inaccurate information haha, but there are lots of lists you can find online of past exchange students comparing the two!
@@RigelotusI see and if im not mistaken the jacket is custominzaed with your name and major on the back right? As an exchange student who might attend Korea University how do I get one? Thanks.
@@bobmemer9062 Your name will be on your sleeve while your major will be on the back. We got them from KUBA, they were the ones who sorted it all out for us. If you want to learn more about KUBA, I talk about them in this Korea University Q&A video 👍 (I'm sure there's also an option to order directly from the KU store)
Hello. Thank you so much for the informative video! Just wondering on the extracurricular life in KU, are there gyms where people play volleyball in KU? Or is volleyball a thing there? I think I tried searching but I am not sure if it is not just famous compared to other sports or there really is none? Thank you!
Hello! Thank you for watching! I'm not actually sure myself. Maybe you can email admissions about it when you've received your acceptance? I know volleyball is popular in Korea in general, though I think baseball and football are even more so.
hi! i'll be going to korea in aug for a semester exchange :) just wondering, how was the course registration like for u as an exchange student? i heard that courses such as psychology which i'm going to be taking since it's my major in my home university are very competitive in ku. so just wondering what the success rates are like to successfully register for a class haha
Hi! To be completely honest, it was quite a struggle for most of my friends. I think I lucked out because I got all but one subject on the first round of registration. You have to make sure to click and type as fast as possible because so many people are on the system at the same time 😮💨 That being said, business is one of the most popular majors too and I got all my business classes, so I hope your registration goes well too!
@@Rigelotus omg hopefully i get as lucky as u haha. do u mind explaining how the registration works? like you have to enter the portal as soon as it opens and click to register ur classes?
@@faithlim7886 Yep that's basically how it goes. KU will actually send you a thorough guide of how to sign up for classes before registration period starts. I highly recommend reading through everything so you can be prepared 😊
Hello. Thank you for your informations. I am about to go to Korea University and i have several questions i will be grateful if you could answer them. 1 is it hard to pick Korean language courses? Cause the major i am applying to is not completely English. Does it worth it? 2 can i get a decent job there after my graduation?(master)
Hello, thank you for watching! I hope my answers help you a bit: 1 - This would completely depend on how fluent you are in Korean. I'd say if you're not fluent, you'd have a really tough time because all your exams/projects/ lectures will be in Korean as well. Just speaking honestly! 2 - I'm not so sure since I didn't go to KU for masters. But I think no matter which school you graduate from, it will still be up to you to find opportunities. So maybe you can contact your future professors in KU about it and ask them for help/recommendations 😊
I'm planning to choose korea university to study abroad for science and your video was really helpful! but I have a question about housing, How did you pay the rent? does it come with the program?
Hi there, unfortunately I don't know the requirements for other countries. They tend to vary. I think it's best if you email the global office directly. They can probably help in answering your question 😊
Hello! I think you should probably apply for undergraduate freshman. I think undergraduate transfer is if you already started in another university. But I still recommend emailing KU directly, just in case!

Do you know any information on how Yonsei compares to Korea U? Also with the varsity jacket when do students get those during the fall or spring?

Do korean university teaches full in English?
It depends on the specific class and professor 😊
Hi. I have a question. I am not from U.S.A or U.K so do I need IELTS exam to study in (kU). Or it is important to give this exam.

Which majors are taught in English ? Only inter.studies and business ? Or there is more ?
Other majors also have classes taught in English. Although the number available depends on how big that department/major is :)
