    I have the Ventum, I’ll be honest, it’s great for keeping gas away and the tone sounds good but it’s definitely louder and needs to be ran with a good brake to tone it down. Direct threads are loud without subs.

    Thanks for the vid man. I don’t have the fancy equipment you do, but I’ve got some cans. I posted the sparky Ventum the other day on Reddit. Hoping it’ll get tested at some point!

    Theres videos out there showing the RC3 doing very well with a open tine (non war comp). And then doing horrible with SFmuzzlebreak. So I wonder if there is any difference in sound (pressure) between the various surefire mounts with the RC3.

      There could be, potentially. If the flow state is changing, there could be some interesting gas dynamics at play - good question.

    My best guess where this heads to next is how muzzle device exit aperture being standardized to .30 caliber orifice and even barrel threading standards? We see it now so units have 1 muzzle device for uniformity and 1 suppressor ( with flow thru and on the larger .30 exit aperture) so they can run across multiple wpn platforms I.e precision rifle, sbr 556 & 762 300. Win Mag and sub machine gun - I mean hey industry has already moved to end user serviceability to include ability to change end caps and mounting options to muzzle devices.
    No doubt flow thru is here to stay - as is light weight with multi role suppression and attachment provisions.

      Turn the play speed to 1.25 or 1.50 if you have the patience of a teenager in 2023. I'd recommend, there's good info in here.

    I ordered a 300blk PSA JAKL and want a dedicated can for it. JAKL has long stroke piston so I'm not worried about gas as much as a direct impingement. So a high back flow pressure can (like a surefire 300 sps) isn't off the table. What would your recommendation be if you could only have one 300 blk can on a 8.5" - - love your stuff man! I'm eyeing the 300 sps, hyperion, full nelson (although it's not sold anymore), and sandman s

      @TheJaySituation  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for checking out the podcast! You'll find that DI vs. piston actually doesn't vary the gas to the face, that much, with the AR platform, as a lot of the gas blowback will come from the barrel directly. We can't recommend specific silencers, but I can tell you that for semiautomatic use, we've been using the CAT ODB, and there are a lot of high flow rate options, actually. All of the silencers you mention, probably except for the Sandman-S, are going to do pretty well on subsonic 300 BLK, in general. The flow rate of the Hyperion is a bit higher in early time, which would make the experience more pleasant, but it is also very long. The ODB has a high flow rate, and is shorter. The 300-SPS is a great 300BLK silencer, as is the Full Nelson - a lot of choices!
