Nice box of treasure. RF Ammeters are still used at a 50 ohm point of the antenna feed in the LF AM broadcast world. It's referred to as "Base Current" and must be recorded on a regular basis for compliance. Your friend, Yankee #2.
Hi Yankee 2, I've never seen one before so will be interesting to test. I didn't know they were still used with all the modern equipment to do measurements. BTW who I'm there right mind would put pl 259s on the UHF port and also the common one? Hate 259s Cheers Paul from your Limey friend!
Wonder which Yankee you were referring to there Nick. Heh... And that old HP (on rental) actually cost more than this house! I confess, I am in love with that Siglent. Excellent demo of three ports' behaviours on one screen.
Thank Joe, there's only one Yankee that watches all my videos. One day you're getting bored with them, others have come and gone. Sell everything and buy the siglent is my advice! It's truly excellent for the relatively low cost
@@ptronix That's a fair thought Nick though if I sold everything, the only thing in the lab would be the Siglent on an otherwise bare bench. Still tempted.
