IMO they should have removed most of the damage up effects and either replaced them with something else (maybe bullet velocity or accuracy on pro for example) or only had it improve the fall off damage since weapons like the brushes would have loved more consistent damage at a distance. It's also a shame to see weapons like H-3 and Squelchers still suffering after there nerfs due to main power up and it would be nice to see them brought back closer to their former glory.
I wish the MPU class give some a different effect or rework for each Bella class: Undercover Bella should get a slight damage or increase shield durability Splat Bella with a increase brella regeneration as well for an slight shield durability Tenta Bella(should keep the durability effect) but add a slight increase for Bella regeneration.
Jet Squelcher was NOT range up, it was Velocity Up, the range up was just a byproduct of the velocity changes, it's just odd the game calls it range up when it actually changes bullet speed

I was today years old when I learned main power up made tenta brella shield travel faster
