When things are moving at lightspeed and you don't have the time slider set to slower that real time the collisions don't register and objects just fly through each other like we see in this video. Also the second Satan's quarter he launched only did anything because it wasn't quarter sized anymore, that thing was almost moon sized, which is why it rounded out.
