Another one is the “gun opening” where you take out a gun (usually a pistol for mp5) and threaten your opponent and tell them to resign or you will shoot. It’s pretty aggressive if you ask me.
Personally I'd rather the ICBM
i've never seen this kind of chess notation before, can you explain what move mp5 is
@@feljayDDR it’s where you move your gun (the mp5) to your opponents head or chest, you can use the nerf version where you use a fake gun instead to scare them.
Too aggressive. Not for beginners.
Mp5😂😂😂 Mac 10
The Kings Gambit is actually OP up to 1500, because no one seems to know how to play against it.
Vienna is like the kings gambit but better
Why would the pawn comes for support in 2nd step.... No one takes the pawn like that
@@sashankbhogi7867 200
Not really, the king's gambit has a lot of theory thus making it not very beginner-friendly, it is one of the oldest chess openings that was very popular during the 1800s as many black players did not know how play against it. Nowadays, it is very outdated and black is considered better by most players after the 3. Exf4. I will admit that the king's gambit is one of the funnest openings to play and often ends in very sacrificial and spectacular games.
@@arthurcencil Do you think a beginner can play the position after exf4?
Love his reactions. This guy is awesome.
Came for the chess, stayed for Canty's energy
Great stuff James, thanks. It's always fun and inspiring to watch you get into it.
So tough! Thanks for the video!
The Evans gambit is so powerful that even Stockfish aproves it
-Stockfish- Alphazero loves d4 openings such as the queen's gambit or stuff like the English, but hates the king's gambit, and in real life as soon as you meet a decent player they will shred you, since they know the declined variation, and if you don't know it to the last move you finna be dead, so for aggression you have to know the gambit to perfection
Pretty sure alphazero was the engine that loved it
Damn its true, my bad
@@randomhardcoreplayer2096no it didn't, it's called engines use opening books, then play from a set position
@@EnigmaChess pretty sure alphazero didn't use any opening books. it just played against itself over and over and figured things out.
The Kings Gambit and Evens Gambit is crazy!!!!
Love this! 😍
Awesome commentary with funny reactions 😂
Need more Canty videos on this channel. The man is a content machine. 😂
Also, I’m never trying Muzio Gambit bc wtf? 💀
Thankful to you sir
Love the explosion at 16:28 😂😂😂
fire video, canty is great
When they plan the second best move instead of the mainline:🤯
Amazing video. ⚘️
Good stuff
First can't wait to embarrass myself trying these
Same I am rated 700 at puzzles but 200 for rapid and 100 for blitz and 100 for bullet to 😊😊
Dont give up💪🏼
Bro how@@wasilmanj1122
No pain no gain.
I’ve heard that the evans gambit was a favourite of Kasparov and I can see why
Gambits are aggressive, and they can either crush your opponent or make you loose on move 5 if you blunder theory
I used to play King gambit but I never knew that was so strong like that.
This was a marvelous opportunity to pimp the Jobava London.
It's beautiful to see a brother know the game and know it WELL 😍
i hope i will win in chess with the kings gambit💯
Nice
For white i like King's Gambit and Danish Gambit. For black.Caro-Kann
I thought this was a Levy video, having Magnus Carlsen in the miniature
useful tip
Fun fact: Even before this video, for a few months and even now, the Halloween Gambit is my go-to opening.
Why would Evans gambit be good only resulting in check and not mate?
What happen if black goes Kc5 at 10:25 ?
1:11 Why c3,why not bishop b2,applying pressure to the e pawn?
To prepare d4, obviously - to take control over the center.
Bishop is worse on b2 than c1
@@CatSurfer Can you explain to me,why is it worse?
@@stevefurrier9932 c3 blocks the bishop and if you play without c3, d4 the gambit was for nothing
The king’s gambit is not for beginners. It’s hard to play even by grandmasters!! And because it is hard to play and to handle, It’s not played anymore. I garanti you that. There are too many types of king’s gambit.
Who the fuc 😂
Another great video from JC III. Thanks, man
U cant play knight f6 in the italian because of fried liver? Lol it‘s literally the top engine move
Nothing for the black pieces?
You advise me to start learning what are the tactics, strategies, calculations, plans, etc.. or the opening, middle and end of the turn?. And why? (Optional) FYI: I know the basics of chess
same qs
btw check out hanging pawns he has a great series about kings gambit
Learn tactics. If you study openings you only get so far. Check out Chess Vibes and Remote Chess academy, they give you the best content for free about tactics, calculation and strategies. I'm at a level where I usually get into Endgames, so you might wanna study those too. If you want some simple openings for white and black, here are my recommendations:
*White*:
London System/Queens Gambit
(Both are Great and simple, plus you don't need to learn anything else for white)
*Black*:
Against e4:
Caro Kann (only from Chesspage1)
Against d4:
Kings indian Defense Setup (Also only from Chesspage1)
You might ask who this Chesspage1 guy is, well he is a great RUclipsr who makes simple and great Videos.
*Sharper Openings*:
White: Halloween gambit, Fried Liver Attack
Black:
Against e4: French Defense
Against d4:Dutch Defense
*Disclaimer*
Only use The Sharper openings when you Get Better at chess (Intermediate-Advanced) You might not wanna start playing the Dutch when you can't use Harder tactics.
Have Fun!

I would love a top 5 openings for defensive players, I am not the biggest fan of playing too aggressive.
Play the cow opening
@@Daves0 funny
Boring
Play the london or colle system
The thing is that defending all the time is not gonna lead you to wins. You can lock positions and make draws trying to defend, but you'll never improve that way because attacking is always a part of the game, even in the opening some call "boring" (you can play pretty aggressive and exciting games with the London like, for example, Alex Banzea does).
At some moment, you will definitely need to learn how to attack.
bro thinks he's gotham chess
First
Super confusing, fokus on the game and not you
The Cochrane gambit just loses, play d4 instead of Nxe5 if you wanna be aggressive. Also engine says -1, not equal.
This dude thinks aggressive means the opening has to give black at least a +1 advantage. Play the scotch, do things that aren't terrible.
And the line of the kings gambit suggested loses on the spot, especially if the queen just moves to f5 after d4.
Advantage in the opening mostly doesn't mean anything (especially if you're a beginner). You know there's one very advanced concept called initiative. Sometimes to gain winning initiative, you need to create imbalance, and this is exactly what gambits do, you need to understand this. For example, in many grandmaster games you can see GMs sacrifice material or pawn structure or trading their bishop for a knight in an endgame etc. - this is a very efficient way to create imbalance, create for yourself chances to lose in order to have chances to win.
@@Gwennbleidd_Chess Yes but it is double edged, I don't believe a beginner will know how to use that initiative or how to use the position, its much easier to defend these positions than attack.
Terrible vid, you chose lines people dont play, d5 is an obvious response after Ng5, and in the Halloween gambit, d5 is also a logical move instead of f6
yeah and the cochrane gambit in the petrov just straight up gives away the horse
@@blades9937I lost to it in a classical game
