  • Need to quickly see what files are taking up space on your disk? My favorite program to do this is the free and open source WinDirStat! It visualizes data really nicely with a tree diagram and allows you to quickly delete files from within the interface.

    I am also in the same situation in an "old" laptop and i have been using WinDirStat for the same reason.
    I am not a fan of the colors and layout but it is a good and simple software. Enough for me.
    These kind of useful open source tools deserve to have more exposure.

      Hello and thank you for your comment! While I do find the metallic shading a little bit much, I think the use of a treemap to represent file sizes is a great way to visually find large files in an instant, so I'm not complaining!
