I think the launch control on those things is a bit wonky - I've heard that complaint before, and the guy was complaining about it here. The car doesn't go right when you lift off the brake so its hard to time right.

@@DWH300 reaction times do not come from a tree they come from the time you say go till your foot hits the gas pedal. The z06 has lunch control and it looks like it was not used in the video. My friend has had every z06 in the past 4 generations and I have driven all of them.

I'm going to say, that as a kid looking at cars back in the 70's, I loved both the Corvette and the TR7. Then I grew up. I can't tell you exactly why but just couldn't see myself in anything but a Mustang. I bought my first sports car - a 2024 Mustang Dark Horse. But that Z06 is beautiful.

True street tires on the Vette and drag radials on all the Mustangs. If you are a drag racer, you know how huge that is. I used to run actual retread tires so the sidewall looked like factory tires, but the tread was gummy as hell. All gorgeous killer cars.
Of course this is just my opinion from what i saw, but put someone in the Vette that knows how to drive it and the Rapture wouldn't stand a chance...Just Say'in !!!

Besides, if what you are looking for is just as fast as possible in a short, straight line, none of the muscle cars can compete there either. Instead, they get absolutely TOASTED by 4 door sedans. B the zo6 is a track oriented car so after your roll race are you gonna race the race that car is meant for I.e. going around a track. I mean it’s all good but don’t be jelly. The fact is you still have to bring a modded car to beat a stock car. There isn’t a stock mustang that is n/a that can compete with the z06! Plain and simple

Yes I have mods but so does he I dnt care if it's factory modded. I still have more weight and less hp. Either chevy lying about hp or they lying about times but I can promise you I dnt make 670hp and can run 10.7s in the street but that ZO6 need a professional driver at a sticky track to accomplish 10.5. Just like the dude in this video he is just a RUclipsr not a professional driver. No way ill let a 5k lb 700hp truck get close to me. Next i dnt do circle track and never will so. He can have that hands down. I been drag racing mustangs 27 years. I been eating GM for 27 years. Started with a 93 mustang cobra which I still own today.
Notes for the Z owner. 1. Not in PTM Sport mode 2. Not using launch control 3. Left late all races Do those 3 things to maximize the car’s potential. PS launch control is under warranty by GM.

And 26 hp increase would be considered a significant increase with N/A cars and the only reason it's untunable is because it's brand spanking new and companies need time to make the parts to increase the power. And I'm sure you love the S550 and so do I but don't get mad at it's replacement for no reason because you want the s550 back or something.
All I know is buy a 5L GT 10R80 put a blower on it (at this stage only S550) do some suspension work add a tyre and see ya later! If I couldn’t mod (whipple etc) my s550 10R80 I wouldn’t buy it. This is the only reason I will not buy the current S650.

A stock darkhose runs the 1/4 in 12 seconds A stock c8 zo6 has been recorded running 1/4 in 10.8, 10.5, 10.4 depending on the conditions and who was driving it You can go to any number of professionally run RUclips channels and watch the dark horse. Run a quarter mile and watch a c806 from the quarter mile by actual professionals who can put on decent production and know how to drive. I see zero watchable value in a low production channel that can't even reserve an airstrip or a private road or a racetrack and doesn't announce the modifications to the vehicles that they're running Another words these guys are out here doing this on City Street which is not only reckless but dangerous and the recording it and uploading it... Last time I'll be watching this channel came up in recommendations. Thought I'd give it a try but it's clearly heavily biased
