I’ve been playing video games since about 1979 (Atari 2600), now it’s the Xbox One. One of my favorite games on the platform, is Forza Motorsports 4, and the Nurburgring is my absolute favorite track. I took a 2011 Cadillac CTS V, slightly modified, around the track in about 7:14. I’m pretty happy with that lap, given that it was done with a controller instead of a wheel.

Whether you're a fan of domestics or not you gotta love the fact that the ACR was whooping hypercar ass for years without a dual clutch trans or all the other technology.

@@noprotein311 it's a joke because it's true. Mustangs are terrible handling cars. The fact one can make it around the track without spinning out is a miracle in itself. Referring to stock Mustangs here.
danar dalin not all stock mustangs are garbage. Sure, they have a solid rear axle, but that doesn’t mean they won’t corner at all!

Seeing and hearing the CTS-V sedan at 2:47 brings back fond memories of when the wicked CTS-V Wagon was first introduced. Also I never realized the radiator behind the mesh grille was so massive.

It should be fine. Just remember you need a mask in Germany's (inside) public places,still! Don't know about the UK... But I guess you do :) Just keep distance to new people and you will be fine!

Lol Corvettes do more testing on the Nürburgring than most sports cars and GTs. These drivers clearly suck, and I like how you picked that clip over all the others with Corvettes doing more than just fine around the same corner, especially the one tailing the AMG GT.

Notice how most american cars sound like a lawnmower and are really unstable because they "lean too much" on the tires.... (bad chassis torsion and suspension).
“Unstable” yet the corvettes, higher end mustangs, high end Camaros, and the Vipers are destroying everything near their price range on the tracks...
@@JamisonMK3 Of course.... in that price range no European cars are made to really go fast....just more like family sedans that have a point in comfort and space (plus maybe a 0-100 Km/h in 7 or less and a top speed of 250 Km/h in total safety). When we think about cars that go actually fast the technology involved becomes expensive. In fact there is not one single US car in the Nurburgring ladder in the Top 10... and it was achieved by an OEM modified Dodge Viper "ACR" in 2017 which was a privately funded project that cost over 2 million dollars...

Fastest time is by a Lamborghini Aventador 770 SVJ driven by Marco Mapelli, a test driver from the company, with a standard production car with the only add-on of a roll-cage and Pirelli PZero Trofeo R racing tyres.
So basically the expensive Italian or German supercars are ready for real performance...to make a US car go somewhat similar, but slower, you have to invest tons of money in special projects. :-)

I'm from the Netherlands and I wish I could afford a C6 / C7 Corvette because I think they are awesome but the prices are ridiculous here because of taxes :(

LethalCap Beats American cars are fast, exciting... but compared to European sports cars, they lack something others have when the race track changes direction. (Other than one long, long, left turn... I’ve owned a Vette, a Mustang, and even an IROC Z (wayyy back when...) and they’re not even close on handling, especially at somewhere like the Nurburgring.
