One of my favorite things about Radian is how determined he is to be paranoid, it's an incredible choice on Ben's part to have him jump to hostility/mistrust but almost never roll an Insight check. (and maybe its just how Ben likes to play, but I really like it in the context of Radian)
That’s so interesting. I really struggle with it. It’s actually something that’s made me want to stop watching. I feel like this might be a me thing though 🤣
I just love watching Alex in these sessions. He’s so engaged and enthusiastic and warm! Although, it’s a banger of a group in total. Go Natural Six! (+1 to Patreon)
I (the me) would so buy a tee shirt that says “I (the character, not the me)” it is such a fun thing. I have found myself waiting for you all to use it.
Strength (Intimidation) is actually allowed RAW - the rules say you can mix and match skills and abilities if it suits, giving the examples of Constitution (Athletics) to swim a freezing river or Charisma (Acrobatics) to entertain with tricks. So using a display of strength to intimidate someone is perfectly fine!
I (the me, not the character) found you guys about one week ago and just binge watched everything in a few days. Haven´t played a lot of DnD yet so it´s really cool to watch and learn with you! In love with your show
The tension during the break-in was nail-biting. Even though the guys didn't actually end up in a combat, everything about that sequence was terrifying. I kept waiting for something to go horribly wrong (more than actually did go horribly wrong) and for the group to have to fend off a squad of armed guards. Made worse by the fact that Harry gave them all distinct personalities and I didn't actually want anything to happen to the poor fellas. I'm really enjoying the characters struggling to find their feet with one another, and how just when you think you've got someone figured out, they pull something like Dolly did and you realise it's not all quite as clear-cut as it seemed. This was a great episode with such a fantastic finish, even if Alex had an absolute 'mare with his rolls. Also, the reaction of the guards to Kelnys the Cat will live with me for a good, long time. It was so oddly wholesome.
Currently watching the pre-show for this (after the ep itself, naturally) & just have to say that, yes, at least one of the people wants to hear Aoife sing on a musical episode. Will be joining the Patreon as soon as I have worked out my budgets too, because 10 episodes is not enough.
this has become one of my favorite dnd series. the radian/i interaction on the hammock was just so fantastic, and every single character is so unique and their personality shines so distinctly. the ad was fuckin awesome as well
Did Aoife make a “Go Piss Girl” meme reference, after Ben said Blair Waldorf?? 😂 Also loved how excited Ben was by Holly’s idea of a Gossip Girl one-shot 🤩😆
Thank you for the new episode. With each new one, the story is getting better and better and I feel more invested in it. Many memorable events in this one and I am already counting hours to the next episode. Hope we will see many more, because I have become to really love your characters. And Ben's Smooth Daddies commercial was absolutely hilarious! Wish you all a very lovely day.
2:18:23 - Only because he’s a Druid. If someone polymorphed one of the others, they would not keep their mental stats, so they could not respond to a message spell. Sending would work because the response is mental, not spoken.😊
The mental stats thing isn't really a problem for it. You keep your sense of identity regardless. The real problem is that Message transmutes whispers and RAW isn't telepathic. So the communication barrier isn't circumvented. Sending would certainly do the trick but I'd prefer Speak with Animals and not deal with the 25 word limit. That all depends on DM allowance and interpretation of course but seems logical to me.
Ah yes, the mid show advert that is acceptable because its hilarious that has become part of youtube D&D culture edit: 1:29:16 for the comedy advert because its funny but also 1:31:27 for vod gang who want to skip it.
An awesome episode. So the gang has unleashed a psycho onto the world… Fun times. Love Dolly’s reaction when Radion said he had another idea 😂 Poor Alex with the rolls in the back half. Just wanted to give him a hug when those Nat 1s hit. Really enjoyed the variety of voices that Harry used throughout this episode. Looking forward to where he takes the story next.
Another fantastic episode! I started watching on the Twitch stream, but couldn't hack the 4 hour run time... catching up today instead! So many scenes to doodle!
Party of Adventurer's living in woods like hobos commmit murder...this seems familiar hahaha. All jokes aside this has been a phenomenal group thus far. Bang on Natty6!!

I love that Kelnys used wild shape to turn into a cat. I did a Ravinca campaign where I was a druid, and I used my wild shape a lot to turn into a cat to spy on people and to do recon.
Okay, that was the best product endorsement I have seen. If I wasn't smooth already, I would have bought the Father's Day product for myself... (Too Much Information? ... What the hell. This show seems to skirt the line on occasion. And I love it!)

Another corker of an episode- madaea brought some spooky vibes and I’m here for it! Well done everyone and someone get I a highchair for his birthday so he can have his caramel
For me, great show, story, lore, characters, etc. but the DM makes the players roll so many unnecessary checks. I (the character not me) wanting to keep Radian back to talk to them but forcing an Insight check and then combat as a result was crazy. It takes away player agency and those role playing moments. It's almost as if the DM is scared they'll do something he hasn't planned for. He also gets them to constantly roll Perception checks or asks for Insight instead of leaving the responsibility with the players to ask for details. It's actually quite frustrating.
Both charm person and suggestion have verbal components that the caster would have to chant to cast the spell. Fail or save the person having the spell cast on them would definitely know unless the caster has subtle spell. I want to bet 100$ that the kill of the scared dwarf, will came back to haunt them. Believe me, no DM lets something like that pass away without a back up plan. 😅
Hold person does last a minute but the target gets a save every turn so 6 second increments. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that you did it for tension. Though on the positive side Radion could've been trapped for longer than 20 seconds so swings and roundabouts I suppose.
They just murdered the masked girl for no reason at all 😮 she hadn't done anything to them and whatever crime she was guilt of or complicit in (not that they bothered to find out what it was first) it surely did not warrant dead by arrow in the back... I know it is just a game, but isn't it interesting and scary how easily human morality is flung out the window? I suppose their characters aren't exactly angels...
Almost like morality is subjective and subject to culture and not in fact simply 'human'. Not long ago (relatively) nearly everyone would have liked without blinking because that's just animal life. It shouldn't be novel or interesting that people so readily kill in fiction unless you're truly ignorant to what we are - chimps with clothes.
I agree! Hollie saying " wellll, she shouldn't have run" made me cringe. she just completely hampered whatever work ben put in to that part of the campaign. i don't she she quite appreciates the work he's put in. she's just like " ugh lets just get on with it!!!!!" an attitude that goes agaisnt the spirit of DnD;
@@kunimitsune177 nahhh, all that was just pure impatience on the part of Endellion and Radian. they're the two least interested in getting lost in the storyline, they just wanna get on with things, least thats what it seems like. the others are up for everything. i'd be cringing if i was harry in this epsidoe.

the running joke with the highchair is actually quite funny. I (The character not myself) seems to be so happy about them too haha.
19:05 Doug missing a prime opportunity to interject with "wind's howling" 😂

Although, I feel, not intended that way at all by Dolly (or should I say: Pamela). Edit: confirmed in Action Surge.
