Yea never been a souls fan cause I never gave it a try but this game kept getting promoted for gamepass and looked like it wouldn't be as intense so gave it a shot lol One day I'll give one of those a try probably bloodbourne.
Don't mind the hate, bro. If you're enjoying the game that's all that matters. I didn't play Dark Souls much until Elden Ring hit. I loved it so much, and it helped me enjoy going back and play the other souls-likes. Now it's one of my favorite genres. The spark to gain interest in a genre that before seemed unapproachable can come from almost anywhere. Especially if you don't have a lot of prior experience with it.
No because the reason why all souls games are called souls is because they have online mechanics, its not a souls like unless it has the online mechanics demon souls introduced into the games, its just an action rpg in the end thats the genre name not souls like.
Wow really? I never thought that at all. I thought that fighting bosses with precise blocking and movement and hard difficulty, and retrieving points/souls at where you last died were all things that indicated a souls game. Never thought of the online aspect being the very thing that makes it a souls game.
@MercifulKev well it actually was if you read the back of the original Demon Souls' 1s box. All it ever advertises is to play in an online world and explore together with other players and leave a message to help find them. Etc this is why sekiro doesn't feel like a soul game to me and more like Ninja gaiden, which also has similar features, in that ninja gaiden is a really tough game and you loose all your stuff if you die but that came out in the 2000s. Also that's why the souls exist every were they are other players. Lol
ohhh ok gotcha that makes sense bro, thank you cause I know nothing about souls games and always wanted to try it out but just never gave it the chance. Then I tried this but I guess this isn't what I should play for that experience 🤣
